I would love to see the image of this tank. It still looks amazing on film, but id like a still image where you see the cute little plants and animals? Anyone got a link?
I loved this so much. You can feel the mastery in this tank. You can tell this gentleman has forgotten more about aquascaping than most of us will ever know.
I really enjoyed this video. His tank is so beautiful and he is passing on his talent to his daughter as well. Wow really love both of these aquascapes.
The river king! I loved his top ranking layouts- 2018 - Rank 11 2014 - Rank 3 Also the amazing layout with Japanese Cherry Salmon that won the Sumida Aquarium Award- need a cooler to keep those fish. Awesome river layouts.
Do you know of a video or picture of the tank with the salmon? I hope to set up a similar system for golden trout someday and am looking for inspiration!
Awesome video. One recommendation for when you do your next interview with a master. Please ask them their inspiration for the design. I’m always interested to know why they designed their aquascape a certain way and what inspiration they took from it. I think that will add something to the interview. Well done, you’re getting really good at these. Take care!
Wow! So honorable to see a master and his aquarium set up, very impressive. The plants and animals seem to be in perfect equialibrum and creating this amazing ecosystem. Thanks for showing us this and documenting for us beginners.
I would not have been able to stop looking at either tank, they are so beautiful. So glad you could show us his daughter's aquarium as well, i love the mixed group of tetras she has
Thank you very much, it was a very informative video. Special thanks to Mr. Tsukiji Hidekazu for his availability it is a great pleasure to have a little teaching from him. greetings from Italy :) Thanks again!!
Oh man I could have spent a week there! I’d love to to talk more about what inspired him to start aquascaping, his relationship with Mr amano, how he maintains his tank algae free, his dosing regimen, his thoughts on where aquascaping is evolving in to. Where he likes to shop for his fish and Aquascapes, his favorite plants and stones, his ideas for his next build, his favorite tank from our last competition. I could go on! Exciting video none the less!
It is as if the scape exists beyond the limits of the tank. I am impressed with the massiveness of the rock outcropping that dominates most of the tank. It is as if a mountain is planted with a myriad of textures and colors, that enhance the magnified scale of the overall look of the scape.
It was so awesome seeing so many different angles of these scapes! I was so stunned through the whole video. These videos are really great and so inspiring! I loved seeing the different sizes of the two tanks and how they utilized the space. Thanks for uploading!
Beautiful tanks! I especially like when scapes use multiple varieties of the same plant, as that really helps create color transitions without changing the texture.
Both tanks look amazing. The idea of having the one return used to create flow really makes the tank have a stream/river appearance. One thing I did notice is that you didn't question the dosing of supplements if there are any being used. Great video.
Wow... incredible for sure. You know we truly enjoy aquascaping when we think the cabinet underneath the aquarium is just as fabulous and impressive as the actual tank itself!! That hardscape ❤️😍❤️ Ryo it's such an honor to be able to tour these incredible aquascapes and the incredible artist that create them!! I can't stop saying the word incredible 😂 I truly enjoyed the video and I always learn so much along with you!! I hope you have a very blessed and beautiful weekend! Thank you so much for sharing!!!🙏🌿🐟🌿❤️
Thank you 😊 yes!! The inside of the cabinet was one of my favorite things about this. So much to learn from what other people are doing. Yeah haha, truly is incredible 🤣
Wow. It's a pleasure to watch this tank. Something amazing. For me, one of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen. Thank you for the wonderful video. Greetings from Poland
Hey Ryo, mad props to you for visiting all these inspiring aquascapers (and the great editing)! Would it be possible to ask these people about their philosophy behind their design next time? Like, what world they envisioned before translating it into the Aquascape design, and what new tricks they used to tackle/realize artistic concepts. Asking questions that you would perhaps ask a painter like Salvador Dali. I think many aquascapers have the intention to transport one into a magic underwater dimension and it would be dope to find out what those artists' visions are. Cheers 👌
Loving how you are able to set up and film these masters! Props you for putting in all the hard work of developing these types of contacts, plus the coordination. Did you happen to peep the type of food he feeds? Always curious about this! Tried to keep an eye out for the bottle but couldn’t see it ):
As a newbie I need to ask how people keep the plants looking so clean? My water is good, I do a roughly 30% water-change weekly....minimal algae...but the leaves of my plants look dirty. I have even tried rubbing them with fingers and thumb whilst using the siphon. Any advice welcome. Love the respectful way you do your interviews Ryo. Really amazing 'scape. Would love to know more about the rocks---what kind, how heavy are they etc? Just makes me want to re'scape my tank immediately!
Hi thanks! No the rock is not seiryu and I'm not sure what it is. He said he got it from a landscape place where they sell rocks cheaper than at an aquarium store.
I see the usefulness of using long forceps or tweezers, and scissors, when the water lever is normally up to the top lip of the tank. One would have to lower the water level if it was necessary to submerge a hand in the water to plant or trim. Plus, anything on one's hands would not be washed off into the water. Always better.
Awesome scape and video! I’m an American aquascaper living in Tokyo but it’s hard for me to find others in the hobby that speak English. Got any tips for any groups or clubs I can join? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Like # 415 Such an awesome video, Thanks for the Japan fix! It’s nice to hear Japanese fish talk😀. I can only understand half of it but the subtitles and your translation take care of the rest. すごい! Cheers, Chris

Yes, really loved the scape
Fantastic!!!
Hey Ryo. This is my favourite tank! Do you know what rock Tsukiji-san used for the hardscape? If I were to hazard a guess, could it be seiryu?
Hi thanks! No the rock is not seiryu and I'm not sure what it is. He said he got it from a landscape place where they sell rocks cheaper than at an aquarium store.
@@RyoWatanabee ahh I see. I really love the shape and profile of the rocks. Tsukiji-san truly is a master aquascaper.
@@k.iskandar he’s used smaller pieces of rocks and glued them to make it look big

Great tank
Fantastic looking tank. Is it frowned upon in the aquascaping world to keep more than one species of fish in a tank?
No, there is no rule about that. If you see ADA tanks at the ADA gallery, there are many tanks with multiple species of fish
Thanks for video
