You're very welcome. Thank you for inspiring me to grow as an artist. I started doing watercolors about 6 weeks ago and feel like a lot of my improvement is because of you.
Hi Maria, I'm new in watercolor, but I love your paintings soo much. They are way my favorites, there's just so sensitivity in your paintings, I love the white areas that you create... Your paintings are my life goal ❤ !
Thanks Maria...... I find your paintings closest to what I want to do after being away from painting since 1969. Also, as always, a good choice of background music: not distracting.
Your wounderful work is going on. So clear and useful your explanation given below about the way and techniques you use on yr painting. I will try soon this lovely one
It looks so smooth.... how in the world do you make it smooth!? Also love your artwork your an awesome inspiration to keep me going in my artwork for painting!
Your paintings are peacefully, tranquilly, amazingly beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us. As an extreme novice, though, I would love to see how you decide to use your paint in relation to each layer. It may not be practical at all, but if there is any way to show how much/little water you use with the type of paint you use, that would be much appreciated. If it's not practical, thanks anyway.
🤗🌹Thank you Kathi! I actually show all this in each of my online courses (maria-raczynska.teachable.com) but these are paid... My newer RUclips videos show more and there's definitely more subtitles and description on what I am doing. Thank you
@@mariamorjane- You are so sweet to reply so quickly. I'll definitely be watching more videos. I, also, appreciate the info on where to find the more in-depth instructions. Your choice of music is wonderful, as well. You show your soul to the world through your medium. I wish you peace & love throughout this life.
Hi Debrah, thank you! It's just a regular watercolor black but when I mix it with indigo, which seems more on the opaque side, I get this thicker looking layer. I don't disclose the name brands here right now but if you have specific questions please email me maria@loveoriginals.com Thank you!
Hi Rajen, do you have any purple ? lavender ? even just blue would be fine.. phthalo blue ? and you can add quinacridone red to it (pink), you don't have to use the same colors at all :) you can add whatever you have on your palette
im new in painting so im still confused of what i do first 1. paint background for thr painting by end up painting it all when im going to put black" i fell that the paint go to waist 2. i use my natural way use pentel to draw the black drawing then go eith the paint...
Hi Yuki, You need a separation between light colors and dark colors, so where you see the light colors that's your light zone where you have to be very careful. You definitely use more water than paint but also light colors. You use darker shades only at the top. You don't need to pre wet the paper for this one. You can start painting right away. Also my watercolors are out of tubes. That helps a lot in terms of grabbing more paint with your brush. You leave black at the very end. First work with lighter colors and then gradually add dark at the top.
I have one question. How does you watercolors look so thick and "creamy"? Cause in that way maybe I would avoid making those really annoying water lines when I use the brush :/
Hi Simona, so once I started with one layer, which you can see in the first few seconds of the painting video, I kept going up to add different colors, and then go back to the bottom, adding more paint, so the paint would never have time to dry in the first place. I do use more paint (less water) than in regular watercolor painting, but always always add water because regardless on how thick you want the watercolor on your brush to be, you still need water so it spreads smoothly. I think you may be adding too much water if you see water lines. In some parts of the video at the beginning you can see how the paint spreads different if I don't add enough water. It's about having just enough paint on the wet brush. Also I use liquid watercolor, that may be important too, and when I have the color on my palette it's pre-diluted slightly with water. So I dip my wet brush in that pre-wetted liquid watercolor. Another note in this particular panting, the paper wasn't pre-wetted, this was wet on dry.
Your very welcome Simona, glad I can help. One more tip, when I dip my brush in a water, I usually wipe it a bit in a towel so it's not super wet or dripping etc, then I dip in a paint (liquid watercolor with added water)
Hi Rubina, darling unfortunately it's all practice, try to relax your hand, it doesn't have to be perfect... branches look sort of awkward anyway ;) they are not straight..

Maria Raczynska thank you
Did you wet the paper before you added any paint?
Hi Rebekah, no I didn't, it's wet on dry. Thanks
