In this smile of the week we use Invisalign, Implants, and Cosmetic Veneers and Crowns to completely transform this man's smile from Chicago. Utilizing the latest technology in cosmetic and implant dentistry while combining multiple treatments all under one roof at Innovative Dental allows us to help people get their brightest and healthiest smile!
First we removed an infected tooth and placed a dental implant with 3D Guided Implant technology. This allows for the precise placement of the implant so that the future crown will be in the proper position and the implant will remain in healthy bone. While the implant is healing for the next 6 months, we use our time wisely by correcting the bite with Accelerated Invisalign with Propel.
Second, we used Invisalign to create a healthy bite that would allow for the most long term results for the cosmetic crowns, veneers, and implant crowns to place at the end of treatment. The patient changed out his Invisalign trays every 5-7 days to move the teeth into the correct position so that after his 7 months of treatment we could finish the smile with possibly the coolest technology in cosmetic dentistry, the digital smile design with CEREC Primescan.
For the last visit to our office from Chicago, after his Accelerated Invisalign was done and the Guided Implant was fully healed and integrated, we were able to complete his smile in just a few short hours. We finished this amazing gentleman's Innovative Smile by taking a digital impression and designing 22 crowns and veneers to be milled on our 5 milling machines. After fabricating all of the individually customized cosmetic dental restorations, we bonded them in permanently and let him leave for a lifetime of enjoying his new smile!

I’m doing invisalign now but the ortho said I need jaw surgery as well for a perfect result. I’m foregoing the surgery for a variety of reasons, hopefully it turns out ok......I wish I had an ortho like you in my area.....

This is really amazing! I am scheduled to get porcelain veneers in miami in a couple weeks and I’ve been watching all the teeth videos I can😭 I’m definitely a fan of your work but took the cheaper route 😅 I honestly should’ve done Invisalign first but like others had to get it done now and couldn’t wait lol… I know they will be more aggressive on my teeth bc of that so that’s a definite con to doing it fastly

With Function being the paramount goal Can you remove Permanent Ceramic on both FULL arches and reconfigure a proper bite. Vertical length was added to address teeth worn down due to grinding but the permanents are nothing like the Temporaries in all conceivable ways.

What a difference modern dentistry can make! I feel like I grew up in the Dark Ages. Random question: is it true that many children today are born without Wisdom Teeth? I'm a Baby Boomer and wisdom tooth problems and extraction is a common complaint in my generation.
I went to school with a kid who had 2 full sets of teeth in his mouth! It was crazy!

Innovative Dental of Springfield I definitely want to see more smile makeovers like this one, mindful that it must take you (and the patient) some time to do! I’m just doing Invisalign for now (in France) but they don’t use propel (or the orthodontists I went to don’t know about it). I change my aligners every week and I’m currently at my fifth month. Your videos give me ideas of what I may want to do after Invisalign and try to talk about it with my orthodontist!

I’ve been seeing a lot more ads lately on PROTEITH and they claim to be better for your teeth and gums despite having no fluoride or nano-hydroxyapatite. I’ve seen other dental powders out there too using charcoal and that seems like a bad idea. I think it would be a great video.

Only need ortho and implant for missing premolar and teeth whitening if you need more esthetics , what is the point for the crowns on premolars, they look very healthy and no need for crowns

I am wishing for stem cell coming to dental treatments. I am a "mature" person that due to economy choices i escalated loss of teeth combined with the lack of education when undergoing treatments. The dentist did not disclosed consequences! options.....which at the time would have been the route to go but it was not profitable to dentist. So, i believe i like accelerated invisialign and stem cell to grow bone and molars.....for i dread implants.....the pain.....the screws..... this would be my wish list....yet is it doable? have in mind i am a mature adult. I am grateful for your educative videos and some advice. 🙏🌞💐 Thanks
The science and results awesome.I conitnue to be disturbed about the varying cost of the same procedures and there is no regulation of it. cosmetic is definately not covered under insurance unless it is an accident. where I live there are few dentist who do implants and only one that has a massive modern practice like yours. you could buy a new car with his rates! working people cant afford that. when is the insurance industry going to start treating teeth as medical ,since it is the begininning of digestion of food.

Dr do you have a video of someone getting an implant or implants of their bottom four front teeth? I’m going back and forth between what would be better implants or fixed bridge.
I have a bad cross over bite and have missing teeth.
When I was younger I had a cross bite, and with a lot of orthodontics everything was fixed- for the most part. Well since not wearing my retainer at night for the past 5+ years my teeth have shifted, and my top teeth are starting to flare out. So I'm looking into veneers, but have been told that crowns may be the only way to fix the flaring issue.
This is not true. For esthetics, you should not ever need crowns unless the bite is not addressed.

Hello doctor, O. I woyld appreciate it if you could answer a question for me. I went to get my braces but i already have two zirconia implants and the doc said he cant do braces with implants. I was told he could if the implants were removed. My implant tooth are upper number 9 and bottom 25. Is it impossible to get braces while i have my implants? I dont mind losing the crowns but would like to keep my implants. I would really like your opinion on this. Thank you.

I wanna get full mouth vaneers how do the procedure work? I have some of my friends that got vaneers abroad but some got their teeth filed and left with a tiny teeth in order to put a vaneer on top. Other friends got the non prep vaneers that they did not shape their teeth at all. They said they were super easy and the vaneers were like a cement that was put on top of each tooth and made a shape from there. Which one of these do you use? Will I have to file my teeth while doing a vaneer at your office?

My son is 21 years old has a Class III underbite. What is your approach to treating this issues. He just finished treatment with Invisalign and straighten his teeth but his bite is off and he has some gaps between this teeth.
I have one missing back tooth, moderate gaps in the front top jaw, and one top wisdom tooth that's annoying because it's a food trap, constantly flossing.
What should I do 1st ? Invisalign, extraction of the wisdom tooth or implant for the missing tooth?
It's too bad there is hundreds of dentists in my area and none have the technology or skills such as this.
What if you’re told you don’t have enough bone room to move teeth forwards or backwards by another dentist to correct your bite? What would be your course of treatment? I’m sure there are a lot of variables and may not be a question you can answer. 😊
Your best bet would be to visit a few different dentists and orthodontists, most consults for braces or Invisalign tend to be free and you can get a few different opinions on your teeth. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult to talk about your case if we can't see it 😥 hopefully this helps!
Quick question 🙋🏽♀️ let’s say one had got hit in the face and a tooth came fully out clean but was able to be positioned and put back in… fully healed root canal was done… can they still get Invisalign… it was the one of the two front teeth.. the incisors I believe that’s the term… no pressure 😣🤞🏽

I have an open bite. It’s a long story but my retainers stopped fitting and my teeth at least on top started shifting more. Apparently my mouth wasn’t done growing and it was really painful. Headaches and everything.

Can teeth misalignment cause digestive issues? I had braces for four years but I recently had to go back to the orthodontist because I was having very bad teeth and gum pain and I have malocclusion class 3 again. Also can Invisalign retainer elastics fix my misalignment. My orthodontics said they were going to give me a new retainer with elastics

It really depends on the condition of the remaining tooth and the bite.
i have a cross bite
I have an overbite and also have a TMJ/TMD problems since 5 years now and I wanted to ask you that if the wisdom teeth are impacted in the gums is it possible that while removing those for a TMJD patients like me is likely to break the jaw joints.
My teeth don’t align haven’t been able to close my jaw in 2 years
I have an underbite,I was told when younger the only proper way to deal with it was to break my jaw .and reset it. Unfortunately now I have lost most of my bottom back teeth. I was bulimic and anorexic for many years in my youth up until my thirties + I haven’t smiled confidently all my life.
First because of my underbite then because of rotten teeth.My teeth have also moved due to extractions .At present I have also got a broken front tooth.And have many teeth that have broken off under the gum line and some slightly above.Basically an absolute mess! I don’t go out because I don’t want to be seen it’s just too disgusting! I also ended up with chronic pancreatitis due to bulimia and anorexia which caused me to continue to be sick during attack of acute on chronic.The morphine I don’t think helped my teeth either as it leeches minerals and vitamins.I no longer take it.
But the damage is done! I have not found a dentist who can help.They just keep putting composite on my front teeth which just breaks after days,even the same day.Is false teeth my only option? Thank You!

Both my upper and lower jaw stick out, if my lips were closed my side profile makes me look like a fish. Front a front view my teeth look straight though! I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. 6 years ago I wore braces for 9 months to correct a gap between my two front teeth. Will Invisalign push both my upper and jaw back? At the time of the virtual consultation, do you know the size of the crown you will need for the implant space? An ortho Dr. said they can continue the Invisalign treatment to fix the bite a very small amount ( I feel my bite off just a bit) but would need to know from the implant Dr. how much space they need for the implant as not to mess with that space too much while fixing the bite. I hope this made sense.
