The boys won them over with their futuristic fashion style, epic dance moves, and global-ready pop songs. Then, their lead singer left and naturally, things were never the same. Parents need to be involved with their children career. You never know who's around your children. They turned these children against each other and influenced them to bully each other. Prodigy was so right to leave the group.
Thing is Hollywood parents are no better..they can be just has damaging and greedy to the child star. They had to create a specific account so parents won't take money from the kids.

They had so much potential it's just sad how management and criminal actions affected them.
This group didn't really make it because of management's mistakes. They didn't give the group their own true identity. They were pretty much marketed as a new B2K after Raz B came forth with his experience being a B2K member. They should've marketed the kids as either r&b or pop singers. They used too much autotune on Prodigy's voice when he could sing, and focused too much on their dancing rather than truly helping them with their vocals especially as they were hitting puberty. When Prodigy, Roc, and Ray left, that wasn't "Mindless Behavior" anymore. The only singer was gone and the voices were all different. They had a new audience as young grown men so they were marketing sex appeal to grown women rather than the past audience. You can't turn a group from an innocent B2K to Jodeci 😂 It looks phony to the public. Their group name should have changed, and they could've possibly started out anonymous to gain a new audience because MB had too many problems that everyone knew about. I was a big fan of them and I hate that this was the outcome for them but life happens I guess.

I was obsessed with mindless behavior in middle/high school, I went to every single concert they have, I met them at a mall signing , and I remember when Prodigy left the group I cried so hard lmaaoooo🤣🤣 oh to be a teenager again😩

I was literally a huge fan of them when they first released their song called My Girl. They came out along with Diggy, Coco Jones, Justine Skye, Jasmine V, Trevor Jackson, and OMG Girlz which was very awesome like I made sure I’ve never misses out a new song from them at all.

The trouble all started when Craigs mother thought her son should have a completely different contract as he was emerging as the lead singer on most tracks. She snatched him quick in an attempt to force the labels hand.
I remember how all the girls were talking about how ugly prodigy was. I think that was one reason he left the group too. I also remember.at one concert (saw on RUclips years ago) when they did their little dance breaks whenever prodigy stepped to the front the crowd got quiet. That would definitely fuck with someone.

True when I was younger me and my group of friends had our fave I was in love with roc and Princeton and no one ever picked prodigy because we all thought he was ugly only one of our friends liked him 😩 but now that I'm older prodigy and Princeton is the cutest , roc behavior is disgusting and distracts his good looks and ray ray still ugly to me.

The fact that they as the MB collective actually released albums as late as 2016 is fascinating to me. I taught 5th grade in 2010, and EVERY girl in my class loved these guys. I really thought they had faded after 2010.

Something about being young in the eyes of the media tends to be a downfall for plenty of celebrities mentally. If they're not surrounded by a good group of people that can hold them up they'll instantly fall. The new guys that joined the group doesn't fit at all. "Valentines Girl" was one of my favorites. I can't believe I was young and crushing over mindless behavior especially Roc Royal. Those were the good ol' days but as i'm older it's funny to see now.

Honestly I think the industry was changing and young singers/groups were fading away. Mumble rap and trap singing was taking over and certain groups couldn’t fit in with the new style. And management played a role of course.. I remember when Tinashe first came out and she had that big hit that was quickly overshadowed by everyone singing like Future. 2010-2014 was the end of vocalists and ballads unless you were already a veteran in the game

I think from watching this the group did not make it because the boys weren't friends, and weren't encouraged to create genuine bonds with each other outside of the industry AS CHILDREN. It was strictly business, and then there are the adults around who put the business on a pedastal not the boys' well being.

I was 100% a major fan when My Girl first came out and stuck with them right until Prodigy left. I was always interested in bands and as many know when an O.G. member leaves, the group just isn't the same. I attempted to listen to their new album when it was just Princeton left but it was so different, like they didn't have a transition into music like that. We went from "Girl wherever your heart is I gotta find it" to "She gone grind on my lap till I lift off" like baby--- I'll always be sad that Mindless Behavior were the right group just produced by the wrong people. They truly had so much potential but they were robbed of their possibilities. Wishing the best for all of them though, especially Roc cause I know the group was helping him not go down the path of trouble and it just wasn't enough.

One thing as a former fan I found interesting was their family life outside of music. They seemed to be doing so well for long enough to at least get their families moved into to better neighborhoods and homes, some of them seemed like they were still struggling. Maybe they were just comfortable there, or they just weren’t seeing the money.

Aw I remember when I met them at FYE when they were promoting their first album when I was 13. Ray Ray and Prodigy seemed like they couldn't care less, but the other two were incredibly sweet! I still have my autographed poster somewhere at my mom's house 😄

Oh, I remember my little sister loved Mindless Behavior! My mom got tickets to their concert and she kinda forced me to go with my little sister and I mean it was cute, they were no B2K or Pretty Ricky but they put on a nice show and I always did wonder what ever happened to them
Great video! I have their albums. They had so much TALENT and musically I feel underrated. You know the music industry is something else. Boy groups NEED to come back in r&b/pop. It's sad Prodigy got mistreated and overall Ray Ray, Roc Royal, and Princeton got manipulates. I wanted them to go further into their music career. I hate this crooked music industry. It takes a lot of work, sacrifice, and dedication to make music. You just got to keep going. This documentary was good! Keep up the amazing work!!!
@Motown Gayes Exactly! The music industry is in shambles now. Before, we had black TALENTED artists connect and make good music. It's gotten mediocre. We have to support our black artists in music. Mainstream has gotten manufactured. And during the era I grew up, we had music platforms that celebrated music and artists.
That’s the thing I miss about R&B, there are no more groups and harmonies. Everybody wants to be a solo artist, all the money to themselves.

You should do a video on the group “Imajin” they were a dope R&B group that came out some years after Immature. They were black kids who played their own instruments, sang and danced. I don’t know about the other members but Talib is now an engineer, I recorded with him in Jersey a few times.
I love they're music. I always try to dig deep into the music world and try to look up singing groups or singers that are no longer spoken about. "Missin You" and "Ever again" by Imajin are my top 2 favorites. "Immature" on the other hand has so many favs especially "My girl" and "Constantly".

I wanted to play drums when I was younger, so they definitely caught my attention, plus they were cute lol.

My mom had free tickets to their concert back in the day and I wanted to go so bad because I loved their music but also being at least 5 years older than them at the time, I stayed home 🥴

No not because of colorism. Prod was the lead singer and did the most work throughout the group. Everyone else basically were mainly just dancing and having little parts in songs so its common sense that it was jealousy and mistreatment because one was doing more than the others. The boys probably felt like they weren't getting enough attention or were less important as prodigy and that's probably why it went the way it did. And besides, he has told the story on how he was treated multiple times over and never not once said it had anything to do with color. No need to bring race into everything

thanks for doing a video on mindless behavior there one of my favorite rnb group i wish they would get back together and create music again i have the album #1 girl and their secound album all around the world
The ball was dropped for this group , I grew up with them I’m probably like 2/3 yrs older lol but they were the “ boy group “ for my time period . I personally feel like the boys , fans & the team behind them were especially rude & mean to Prodigy . After awhile the boys got big headed & it was obvious who the favorites were & it was a toss up between Ray , Princeton , & Roc meanwhile Prodigy was treated like a extra despite being the leader & main singer of the group . I met them SEVERAL times & each time Prodigy was always attentive & sweet acknowledging everyone but I can’t say the same thing for the fans who met him , a lot of people would speed past him during a meet & greet , barely say anything to him or would just ignore him altogether then when it came to pictures some people wouldn’t even bother to stand next to him . I seen all this happen in person I been to meet & greets , concerts , & pop ups so when I heard how he felt during his time in the group & to know he expressed this to the people around him & it was ignored bothered me a lot . But they had the potential & talent to make it far & bigger than they did but it was like everything was half assed as far as their management like didn’t expect them to make it as far as they did . They came out with the idea of being a new B2K rather than being a new boy group , so that became the “ slogan “ for them & it was mentioned all the time in interviews & introductions . They mainly focused on choreo vs training the boys vocals to where they leaned HEAVILY on auto tune for Prodigy & when the boys came into puberty there was no transition it was literally “ my girl loves me “ to “ keep her on the low “ lol we obviously know with age comes different interests but for the boys , the fans & the direction of the group it was a huge jump from being at 1 to somehow ending up at 7 with no in between . On top of the fact I feel like management & the adults around them didn’t make it a point to teach & emphasize unity between the boys & let them know no one is more important than the other & everyone is needed to make the group work because several of them started to think they were the “ it “ factor of the group which lead to beefs
My friend in 2nd grade said his dad was their manager, this just unlocked a ton of memories, and its crazy to hear about them again

I’m glad they’re all well and working on their mental health. They look healthy and not on drugs. Even though one is in and out of jail. They all need a little time to grow up.

It wasn’t cause he was mixed it was just cause he was cute. That’s why everybody liked Ray Ray, Roc Royal, and Princeton more than prodigy because they were “cuter than him” and Prodigy was “ugly”. roc had a little more girls than them cause he could also rap but that’s it. It wasn’t cause he was mixed he was just cute.

yea he was cute to some but for the majority he wasn't considered cute. Dare i say "ugly" they was tearing his ass up. Plus disconnected in general. But looking back he definitely was cute baby and deserved sm better.

My little sister was such a fan of this group. It’s sad really as they were manufactured and didn’t actually have a true friendship among each other. It’s also like 3LW & PCD when you have ( management) trying to dictate what happens and making members feel obsolete and replaceable . I feel they have a better chance solo then regrouping.

I had no idea want happened to them. One moment I was listening to “Mrs. Right” and “Hello” and next I didn’t know what happened to none of them. I didn’t know about the soloist, new members etc. My goodness. I wondered what happened to them. Okay then at least I somewhat know now. I feel bad though now looking and listening to this video about them. Who knows what the future or years will bring.
I used to love them along with some of my friends! I just remember the odd Facebook groups that were made where girls would make fantasy stories about being with them, getting pregnant, and doing other inappropriate things with them.. (late elementary, most likely middle school girls like me at the time, or high school) me and my friends would join the groups just to read these crazy stories too🥴 I think they were called imagines if I’m not mistaken! My faves were Princeton and Roc Royal it’s unfortunate that he has went down the wrong path and they don’t communicate with Princeton. Hope all is well with Prodigy and Ray Ray 💕

If you are an 80's to mid 90's baby, you grew up in best era to be a teen, "The Teeny Bopper Era" - late 90's to early 2000's. Boy, we had Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, B2K, 98 Degrees, Monica, Brandy, Aaliyah, Destiny's Child, Ciara, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, 112, Jagged Edge, just to name a very few. Not to mention TRL on MTV and 106 & Park were on & popping back then. The Internet was still fun pastime, no social media, no smart phones (just cellphones), kids still played outside, tons of teen movies, reality TV was still new. The movie, music, TV Industry were just obseseed with teens. It was a dynamic mix of old and new that made it a unique time to be a teenager and pre-teen.
