Tonnerre 2 Zeus is the CCI wooden roller coaster at Parc Asterix. This ride originally opened in 1997 as Tonnerre de Zeus, but it got a major overhaul from Gravity Group in recent years that brought a new name, layout changes, and new trains. And the ride is running fantastic right now. It's arguably the best traditional wood coaster in all of Europe because it received a special backwards row. This video shows that row off!

Parc Asterix has such a great top 3 (this, Toutatis and Oziris). Won't lie it's quickly becoming a bucket list park for me.

Their tamer rides like Pégase Express and La Trace du Hourra are very good too, and so are their water ride (especially the log/menhir flume, it literally has more rapids than the rapids ride of the park, truly a fantastic ride)

I feel like the autostabilize/horizon lock feature "numbs" the impact of the hills and banking for the video itself. I understand and appreciate the clear video, I do, but I also feel like this doesn't capture how wild the airtime moments actually are, and the ability to tell where laterals is kind of lost at times. If we're wanting a video that helps the viewer get a sense of the ride's forces and sensations, this method is working against you.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have horizon lock on, but I do have stabilization on. I've tried some POVs with stabilization off, but I find it's not too pleasant to watch with the shaking.

For those who’ve never been on it: I recommend riding backwards in the morning if you can, once it gets warmed up in the afternoon it gets quite a bit rougher and when you don’t see what’s coming you can’t brace

I rode it backwards in the morning and it was a ton of fun, I came back in the late afternoon and got a ride in the second last row and it was way rougher and the whole thing was kind of lackluster to me, although I suspect this is a front row ride.

I rode it in the morning in the middle-front part of the train in August and it felt rough, bumpy and slow without much airtime compared to my 2022 rides
