What are your thoughts on Hollywood?

Thanks for the video! I totally agree. I used to live in that same area, and you're right. Although it has its problem areas, once you walk around you realize for the most part it's really nice around there. And getting nicer. And there's so much rich history right there. Let's hope it continues to improve and we figure out a way to bring the un-housed inside.

The only way to bring them inside really is to provide housing, luckily the LA mayor made the right move in telling the Govenor that he can blow it out his a$$ and that she's NOT going to send cops to harass them and break up their encampments like he wants her to. Shame on the San Francisco mayor for going along with his agenda honestly.
All it takes really is 1. better rent control laws(luckily CA and other places on the west coast are making more headway in this area than others are), rewriting of zoning laws to allow for more mixed use buildings and denser housing, and 3. either give the homeless people housing outright or give them money to buy houses.
There is no other way. Some people can't work, so they won't get housed by creating more jobs, means testing will only make welfare programs worse and prevent people who need help from getting it, and there's a reason the homeless AVOID shelters.

Love the positivity. I’ve only visited Hollywood a couple times but agree it gets very unfairly trashed (as does LA and California in general). As you said, everywhere has its issues. Absolutely adore LA, and really enjoying your videos.
Can’t wait to come visit LA again next year!

Nice I also got a pic at that same spot at the Ovation mall! I don't get all the Hollywood Blvd hate, didn't look like a dump at all when I was there. I liked all the tour options they have there, did the Day In LA tour from the meetup spot at LA LA Land Souvenir shop, will probably do it again from Anaheim whenever I revisit

love this video and positivity, and love your channel, so glad I subbed about a month ago. Your channel keeps it real and it is appreciated. Some backstory: I'm from NJ, literally 10 mins away from NYC. In 2015, I moved to LA for a year (Long Beach) but moved back to NJ in 2016. I just came back from vacation from LA earlier this month, my first time visiting since I moved. I missed it so much, and really want to move back. Tough to do as a public school teacher financially, but I am strongly considering it within the next two years. your videos really help and motivate me.

I love this so much. I haven't lived in Southern California in years, I'm way older than you but have always loved it there. I live in South Florida now for the past 35 years, but returned to LA and Hollywood 4 years ago for a week. I realized immediately that it's my happiest place on earth, and if I could afford it and didn't have my great condo 3 miles from the ocean here in downtown Delray Beach, and was a little younger lol, I would move back to Los Angeles. I'm so tired of the people you mentioned, who have an agenda, often political, trashing Los Angeles and Hollywood and only showing the bad parts. I'm especially tired of the celebrities who moved to Los Angeles from Bushyhead, Omaha lol, or somewhere like that and made it big and made their millions and then have now left it and trash it on a regular basis. I love Los Angeles, and if I win the lottery I'm moving back out there. There's something in the air there that I find nowhere else. Glad I came across you and well done. 👍👍

Hollywood in certain ways is actually physically better than it was over 20-30 years ago. The land east of Grauman's (or now TLC) was once a big parking lot & so was the land west of it. Same with many properties around Hollywood & Vine. An article about the street years ago (may have been in Time magazine) described it as looking like something out of the Midwest, particularly the one-story sections east of Highland or Vine. But the culture & politics of today are admittedly allowing more crime & homelessness to filter through. Graffiti is a bigger problem too. The same before & after is true of NYC's Times Square too, which in the 1970s-80s was way seedier & looked more deprived.

Everywhere in Hollywood is still clean. Skid row is the only one I remember that has a homeless community. Skid row is a bad area. The tourist attractions in Hollywood walk of fame and the Griffith Observatory are full of tourists. Santa Monica Pier and the Venice Beach look 100% fine. I saw people performing music at the Venice Beach and I saw a lot of guys with skateboarders.

People complaining about the homeless problem better be doing something to help the homeless problem end or shut up.

When I was there, Los Angeles. The only homeless community you'll find is Skid row. Skid row is very dirty! I recommend staying away from the place. Hollywood walk of fame and the Griffith Observatory are very touristy!

Here's an idea. Subway to Venice/Santa Monica? Best method of transport from BUR airport to WeHo? Also try EggTuck. Mmmmmm!!!!

Call out for what? Bring honest? It's very different at night. This video ignored all the permanently closed businesses. A state of emergency was declared regarding all the recent stabbings on public transit in LA.

@@Parker-Green Thank you. That would be great! Alternative transportation (like WeHo Pickup/LAX Flyaway/Airport subway explained) would be so incredibly helpful.

@@peterwelby Wow. It's called fear-mongering. It's pandering to xenophobes. If you go to bad parts of a big town. It's gonna be bad. That is literally any city. And Yes, I've been to WeHo many times. I know what it's like. He did cover it accurately.
