    Good advice helped me to change the battery. You should also advise to get a "non-child proof" replacement battery. I had more trouble getting the new battery out of the packaging than I did getting the case open ;)

    I'm so glad I finally found your video. I'd watched many others, but yours told me about how to align the key to pop it open. Yea, it's now open. Thank you.

    Wish I was in the US to buy my next Subaru off of you; perfect instructional vid. All the info - (including the trick of using the emergency key to open) - none of the fuzz.
    Good work Brian!

    All the info with none of the fuss, can you believe I watched several videos and they were breaking out the tools, as per drivers, pliers, vice grips, I was thinking where’s the oil and crank case on this thing, well thanks to you got it done in less than 30 seconds, and you did a installation video in 1:40 , this man deserves a raise $$, Thank You Big Time!!

    Short, simple and to the point. Worked. Also the spring and buttons popped out when I opened it but by looking at the view you showed after opening the fob, I was able to reinsert it. Thanks

    The Subaru Impreza owner’s manual had a different instruction and much more difficult to execute. I wonder why this is not the official instruction. Thank you for the very helpful instruction. Huge success with this method.

    I appreciate your video. I do however,would say that it would help to specify the orientation of the rubber part in terms of top & bottom as well as front to back. Thank you!

    I don't understand why you didn't actually replace the battery. The most fun part is getting it out without breaking those tiny legs. Also, it's a blast dealing with the spring that loves to pop out and refuses to go back in.

    This is how I broke the springs in the keyfob. I should have read the manual: p.11-46 (2021 crosstrek)

    How about showing HOW you got that difficult to "pop-out" battery. Really,.

    The batteries in both my Fobs were low in my 2018 Outback, so I used this procedure to change them. With the fresh new batteries installed, neither Fob works at all. I put the old batteries back in, and the Fobs worked again. I tried different replacement batteries and had the same result. I'm not installing them incorrectly or anything like that. Is there some type of re-syncing or pairing that sometimes needs to be done after changing the batteries? Thank you.

    • @gehumilis
      @gehumilis Год назад +1

      In order to re-syncing I pushed the Open button on the Key 6 times

    • @stevenpower8457
      @stevenpower8457 Год назад

      @@gehumilis I will try that. You are saying to hit the unlock doors button on the key fob six times to resync it, right? Thank you.

    • @gehumilis
      @gehumilis Год назад +1

      @@stevenpower8457 That's right. In accordance with manual one should press either Lock or Unlock button on the Key six time. I'm glad if it was of help.

    I think Subaru engineers could have designed something that doesn't fall apart if you turn it the wrong way

    Thank you!!! I watched a good amount of videos on how to do this but all of them had weird ways to get the fob part to open. Glad I came across this video. This was super easy and didn’t damage anything 😀.
