Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but the lack of damage vs undead is in the end of Euporias description. “their luster can be restored by dealing damage to foes. However, damage dealt to Those Who Live in Death will have no such effect.” Solid guide as usual!
Awesome list! A personal favorite of mine is the Serpent Flail, a somewhat underrated weapon. Its AoW scales exclusively with Faith and those explosions do a ton of fire and stance damage, both when dual wielding and with charged heavies. A good choice for non-meta Faith builds. Anyway, keep it up and cheers!
Not sure why I don't see more love for the Magma Blade build. I'm glad I went into the DLC with my STR + FTH build and I've been wrecking with those swords, to the point where I might have to change things up. Use the Alex Shard, Dread Talisman, and whatever else you like (I go for max HP). For Tears, I use Crimson Bubble since I'm just spinning and eating all damage from the boss, along with Stonebarb so I can get easier staggers/crits. You could go for Flame Shrouding and/or Oil Soaked Tear also. Just pop an Iron Jar when you get close to the boss and spam the Weapon Art. It melts (quite literally) almost anything. Any of the human sized bosses or enemies, it will chain stagger and builds up good stance breaks on larger enemies with the residual magma pool continuing to do damage over time. Also good for crowd control as the spinning slash goes 360 and the magma surrounds you. Works great on those big stone miners that you need to hit on their back. If they are in the magma, it's as good as hitting that weak spot. I like to dual wield with two Mag Blades for the looks, but you can use any number of curved swords in the off hand. Probably the best overall moveset in the game, especially the running and jump attacks.
I’ve never been too big on holy, but you made the Black Steel Hammer look really fun. Going to try it when I start my next run. That HP heal looks like a huge help with Radahn and other tough bosses as I’m heading into ng+5. Thanks, brother.✌️
I’ve been levelling up through invasions and made an incredible amount of runes (I can’t even remember the figure but it was huge) and then I got back stabbed on a cliff. Went to pick it up and slipped off last second as I was jumping off torrent! I sat there staring at my screen for a good minute..mouth open and everything! Guess it’s a long grind again. Trying to remember to enjoy it for the game rather than feel it’s a chore to hit a certain amount of runes. I’m playing as a dex int build for my Mage character. Milady is a pretty good weapon but still trying to get the swing of it. I prefer the visual of renalla’s twin blades but milady can have the piercing fang ash that helps me take down fingerprint shield pokers. I can go through them like a pilum with that one! I’ve realised that magic anything (whether that be faith or intelligence) makes you incredibly strong in pvp especially with a mix of melee and magic damage. Might do a Sun Wukong tribute cosplay in prep for the release!
Getting annihilated by the euporia beam during invasions lol however you can knock people out if it, just got to make it to them before THE BEAM.. Nice video, Matt! 😎
Hi Matt many thanks for your help and time and finally have reached the other side of the church district roof tops and finding lots of new goodies and taking on commander guihas so thank you so much for your help and time awesome thanks 👍💯
Thanks a million Matt for these builds. I might give it a serious try with Euporia but you get it so late and it seems that the fire knight's GS is stuck on my char. I can't remove it. ;-)

I kinda disagree with the whole black steel great hammer and flame art... I first I always assumed sacred would be better but after some testing I was definitely able to make flame art hit harder aswell as figuring out I can also double holy buff it by using ashes from other weapons aswell as add a flame buff.
Should also be mentioned that the black steel twin blade can be made to hit nearly as hard as the great hammer using the same method as above but its way better imo because it's faster and more forgiving on stamina.
@@user-tj7xr6xd9z it’s good still but more damage types means more calculations against boss resistances. For me I’d rather stack or go for holy damage with some physical damage.
Yeah I went for rot pots as well. Was nice to see his health dropping while I ran around trying to evade his hits although I used the blasphemous blade

Black Steel Twinblade is literally the Euporia, but with customizable AoW, which makes it the superior option against undead enemies. Also, y u use Rakshasa on a Fire Knight build? Use either Winged Serpent helm or Messmer helm for 10% or 8% (respectively) bonus to fire knight weapon arts (ie flame skewer and flame spear), and with Messmer's helm, you also get 3% bonus to Messmer flame incants. Combine that with the Fire Knight chest piece which gives you 5% bonus to Messmer incants, and you have a verifiably overpowered fire build that has 8% bonus on your weapon art and fire incants (not including Alejandro's shard and Godfrey icon for the charged variants of your AoW/incants) and also looks bad ass.
