Radar vectors are simply flown with HDG mode.

I really usually sit like an idiot when trying to navigate the A32NX because i'm so used to the FMC of the PMDG 737 and those FIX pages there. However the Airbus is very different and when switching forth and back, i often get headaches at that part.

Does atc give such clearances irl? What if the fmc/gps does not support those advanced dtos?

If your being vectored and given the the instruction 'at xxx, turn right to heading xxx", do you:
- Use Dir To with radial out (guessing not)
- Put a PBD in the MCDU
- Just select the heading when at xxxx

using dir to in this case doesn’t work well for me, it tends to do weird things like loops and whatnot. I’ve never considered using PBD, might have to steal that one…usually I would just select the heading as I’m coming up on the waypoint. I think it makes little difference to ATC as if you’re flying a heading, you’ll still be displaced by the wind…

Heading instructions from ATC have to be flown with HDG mode.
