Thanks as always, excellent video. Regarding the last point runway centre line I previously would use the fix page which works, but you Tutorial makes it somewhat easier and simpler. PS nice to hear your tones on the FS2 Crew for the FS Labs!! Keith
I talked with Air France captain when I was on the jumpseat in a A320 and he said that sometimes pilots must refuse a direct from ATC due to wind or weather (mainly with a long direct) because the bird can burn more fuel that planned. I guess it happens less than 0.5% of the time but it can happen. Thank you for your amazing work !
Thank you very much. Yes indeed. In very rare cases a long direct can mean more fuel burn with regard to wind component. I came across that several times when I was flying longrange on the 747.
6:30 By inserting the direct command, the heading was changed from 230° to the current heading of 222°. So you have to wait until the aircarft has established itself on the commanded heading of 230°?
Hey blackbox711, love the videos mate. ..so informative. .. A small suggestion please. . If you can make a video on a "how to do a diversion on the a320 fslabs".. like ure having a failure and then rerouting for an enroute aerodrome. .with all the procedures as you vocally describe. Tks☺
Hi. Thank you very much for that suggestion, which is a very good one. Give me a week or two and then I should have it finished and uploaded. Happy Landings
@@Blackbox711 Thanks for the prompt reply. Since your videos are really interesting and you are 320 rated, i thought you might be the best person who can show this. Will wait for it.. Fingers crossed.
Just testing some stuff. When using the abeam points direct to. Once selected, it does not seem immediately obvious which is the direct to waypoint. The next waypoint will be shown as the first abeam point both in DU and FMCG. I need to scroll down to see the airway/programmed direct to point in FMGC. If you wished to double check a little later after input is there a quick way to confirm which direct to waypoint has been selected?

I would like you to make a tutorial of cold and dark of an Airbus 350XWB or A330
Thank you for your request. However I don’t have any of these addons.
When do pilot use DIR TO
Mostly when ATC gives them a „proceed direct to...“ clearance
Thank you so much!!!
Hallo. Ich würde gerne wissen, wie ich einen offset fliege.. wenn ich bei LAT REF from PPOS auf offset drücke, passiert nichts.
LG
Funktioniert noch nicht
Blackbox711 das bringt licht ins dunkel :) danke dir. Ist das für ein update geplant ?
Thank you
Someone reports that the abeam points don't work with the latest update (v.415). I haven't had yet the time to test it myself. Can anyone test it?
