Excellent Lemi. I have the exact same guitar. You give great advice and do it in a lovely, easy to understand manner which everyone can understand. You are a breath of fresh air and come across as a totally genuine human being. I really enjoy your video's. Keep 'em coming ..... and God bless you 🙏

I’ve started using coconut oil on my fretboards, works a treat. First used it on my old Taylor acoustic which has an ebony board and it brought it up nicely. £1.99 from Aldi 😀

I did a deep dive years ago learning everything possible to work on my guitars myself. Not having to wait for your guitar to return from a tech and saving alot of money just makes sense to me. Plus gaining the knowledge i was able to piece together a pretty respectable partscaster tele. I use boiled linseed oil to condition my fretboards and i got a little tube of powdered graphite for the nut slots. Sharp pencil when im out of graphite. Vaseline was a new one i had not heard of before, so i'll have to put that in my trick bag as well. I enjoyed watching how you put your tone together and it was kind of you to pack alot of useful tips in one compact video for others. Lastly, yes you do make it sing brother. Carry on Mr Prime.

The best thing for me about this channel, is connecting with other people like yourself because I learn so much more about the guitar and to be able to solve problems, there's a saying, a rising tide raises all ships 🚢
      My friend, thank you.

I love my Casino Coupe. I’ve made so many changes that it’s hardly a Casino Coupe anymore. I installed a pair of Lollar P-90 pickups. After the pickups and wiring the most significant addition is the addition of a frequensator tailpiece with the legs shortened to keep to the smaller scale. It’s a wonderful playing and sounding guitar now. It’s a keeper.

A cool use for the casino I have found this week is it is ideal for taking on holiday to play on in hotel rooms unplugged. A normal acoustic would get complaints. But the casino is quiet enough but still acoustic enough to suffice.

Awesome video and insight again Lemi! I have the exact same guitar (2022) model. I recently upgraded the bridge to an ABM 2400 that was for another guitar with a Deusenberg Trem but I decided not to use it on that guitar, It happened to fit my Casino perfectly. The Casino Worn is a very versatile and fun guitar! You inspired me now to work on my frets, that is next on my list here. Fabulous Playing my friend!

Great video, thanks for sharing the wisdom. Completely agree with what you're saying about rosewood being superior to contemporary porous woods, it's all about the feel. That Casino does sound really nice.
I'm gonna attempt to re-fret my old Epiphone Les Paul, I'm a bit nervous about it but I bought a book on fret work by Dan Erlewine (legendary luthier to Albert King and Jerry Garcia) with loads of idiot-proof step-by-step guides. I might document the process and upload the results... if it's successful :)

Love my casino (same one).. the action was a little high out of the box but I can't get it as low as some of my other guitars but playable.. The nut is ok but I think a new bone one properly cut would be a nice upgrade.
I have thought about doing the wiring and/or pickups but the one in it are actually pretty good and i'm no stranger to swapping pups on my guitars.
I got my Casino cheap but like it so much I fancy a royal tan one but they cost a bit :/

Hey Lem how are you brother I see you changed your title on your channel. Very cool I like how you explained how you do things very nice I do some things similar some things different but the results are the same but I use 11 gauge and 12 gauge strings just can’t seem to use 10 gauge or nine gauge just too light for me I can’t play in tune with those gauges. Lol just very heavy left hand but very cool. I liked your video. I’m glad you will enjoy your guitar. Keep up the good work my man keep in touch. Talk to you soon.

Great guitar, and video! Olive drab is a color used by the U.S. Military, but I'll agree - Olive would have worked just as well. Maybe the pickguard might look better with a "pimento" color?? LOL
Instead of vaseline, look into "Big Bends Nut Sauce." It's amazing, and it's a different feel than vaseline.

I have the blonde Natural one. Great build, but the running gear on the one was lacking. It has the smaller pots, which are Chinese crap. Pickups were lacking, so i replaced them with Lollar Dog ears, Tuners, nut, Bridge, Tailpiece all replaced as well. I mwas able to do parts at a time, so it was great!

Golly, Lemi ... all that fuss stretching strings is way over the top. I have conferred with many luthiers and guitar manufacture technicians and none of them say all that is required to settle the strings. A few simple tugs, and they settle in quickly enough. And, the notion we gotta lubricate the nut and bridge is a popular myth. Even so, I would never get Vasseline within ten meters of my guitar, because it can chemically react and ruin the finish if it gets on the body or neck. Just saying ... thanks for the video. I guess I just have a different take on it. Drive on and be safe. TT

You have to be careful of cheap tools. I bought a 'fret level' box like the one you have from China for a couple of bucks and none of the sides were even square. Threw it right into the garbage. Then I paid like 60 bucks for one from stewmac and it's great.
I use standard drug store mineral oil on my boards for the last 25 years or so. It's lemon oil without the lemon. Nothing to bio-degrade and never gets greasy.
    Rock on, bro.
