  • Is sure helps when you have the right machines for the job! Join me today on the Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer as I patch up a few bad spots on our mile long gravel driveway here at our Southern Illinois farm. The trick to these kinds of gravel fixes to work is that you have to get some fresh gravel on the bare spots BEFORE pot holes start to form. I do this roughly one a year to keep our long gravel driveway smooth, and fresh, and we have never had any troubles with potholes forming if I get to them in time. Thanks for joining me today, I hope to see you on some future videos here at the Kapper Farm. Don't forget to hit the like button, and consider subscribing to follow all of our country living adventures, land management projects, tractor projects, bobcat mini excavator projects, bobcat T650 CTL skid steer projects, DIY rustic barn wood projects, DIY red cedar projects, food plots, duck ponds, wildlife habitat improvement projects, Polaris Sportsman 850 and Polaris Ranger riding and land management projects, and much more country living adventure. Thank you. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.

    Road looks pretty good, though. Congrats!!

      This road has held up very well overall!! With no big stone base layer, it has still been very good!

    Hows the hips doing? Any more clot problems? Looks like you found some light duty projects to get you thru. With DVT, my Doc said baby asprin is a good blood thinner since I have low BP.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it's still early in the blood clot investigation so I don't know yet what the fallout and follow up will be. I hope that I don't have to be on blood thinners for life, but won't know for awhile yet. Good to be alive though and with no stroke or major artery clots! Thank you and best wishes.

      @@kapperoutdoors I have heard that people in the past who had hip replacement suffered from higher incidents of clots. My paternal grandfather did, he also had high bp. But here's wishing the best for you

    Now that you have a fairly good road base down, how about doing a "chip and seal" topping?? Just tar oil and #9 stone.

      @kapperoutdoors  3 года назад +1

      I have considered that, but I think the cost would just be a bit too much...?
