I have this bag and love it! No, it’s not for everyday use but it is still practical to be worn dressed up or down. The fact that the sequins move is great because it allows the bag to flow with the way you move and walk so the actual design and structure is made to be worn.
How has it held up do the sequins rub or fall off on the back where it rubs against you

I think the bag is somewhat gaudy. The overly large Fendi metal clasp, the overly large sequin size, combined with the large strap contribute to that. It’s the type of bag that catches the eye on a display shelf, but isn’t user friendly. I have been watching videos about the French chic style of dress, and the bags they carry are much more sophisticated, less trendy and much easier to work into a wardrobe for many years. Yes, they carry fun, bright colored bags, but they are more refined and not so prone to damage, which is a smarter investment. I think you would regret it if you ended up keeping this bag, since you enjoy carrying your bags, not just looking at them.
Judi I really like the understated sophistication of the French overall. Makeup, clothes, shoes, handbags and hair. All effortlessly chic and timeless.
Love Carrie Bradshaw. I'm a big fan, but the bag is way too expensive especially if your not going to use. #Return

It’s a great size and shape ... will hold lots ... LOVE THE COLOR ... the bling of the glitter is fantastic ... carry it and enjoy the daylights out of it! Because it is so unusual and unique, you will not see it coming and going ... you will be a total trendsetter ... and if I saw you with that bag on the street ... I would yell “STELLA, I LOVE YOUR BAGETTE!!!!” And of course, love you, also!

First off, so happy to see more content lately on your Stella channel--so please keep it coming! As for the Fendi bag, I'd listen to my gut and return it. I've been guilty of buying nice bags and keeping them in their dust bags, AFRAID to use them as I didn't want to mess them up. BUT I'm learning to let go of that, and so appreciate your hesitancy in not wanting to own a bag that will sit on a shelf and not be enjoyed and used.

Major Sex and the city fan here! Strangely the baguette and the saddle bag made popular by the show were never styles I cared for! I was all about the footware! A friend of mine purchased a baguette and the FF hardware unattached after a handful of wears. Good choice returning it. Thanks for sharing it though 🥰
That is a gorgeous bag Stella!!! With that said, it does look delicate and I'm sure with time/use that some of the sequin will loosen or fall off. The Fendi Baguette is a great bag. That is a beautiful color. It’s actually my favorite shade of purple. But I would prefer it without sequins. It actually reminds me of the those sequins bag that were so popular in the early 2000s. I had two and the sequins kept falling out.
Take a picture and send it back, not worth the price for nostalgia
I would return it and use the money to invest in a chic capsule wardrobe to match the sophistication of your other designer bags.
Stella your right! I used to have a big sequin bag i used as a dance bag. the sequins would get caught and cause runs on my dance tights, so i would be worried about the sequins! Its gorgeous though!
Consider carrying it by hand or on your arm. It's such a cool handbag!! Would Fendi stand behind it if a sequin fell off or got damaged? It would be good to know before you make your final decision. If you do send it back, take a great photo first and frame it for your wall before you say goodbye.

I see your struggle.. but I like it! Luxury bags are all about wearing it [or looking at it.. LOL] and feeling good about yourself. Also if you change your outfit to something more dressy than a white tee, it would look differently. I completely agree with you that it is a gorgeous bag. I also agree that it is absolutely ridiculous. There is no way to carry that bag. It will get destroyed. If you just sit it on the shelf I don't think it will hold up any better. Sequins have a way of tarnishing even when they are untouched. I wouldn't be able to return it fast enough. And this is coming from a woman who has a gorgeous limited edition Fendi Baguette that I have used and loved for years. I get the appeal. But if you can't use it then what is the point? xoxo

Side note...... take that bag back. Get another fabric. As a fellow Carrie fan she has so many more bags that would fit your lifestyle.

I don't think the sequins will wear like you think. Fendi has been making this bag in sequins for years. You can see the wear and tear on older bags on TRR. I do think, however, that if you don't feel like you want to wear it until it falls apart, you should return it.
I do love the bag...… but yes I can see how you wouldn't get much use out of it and because it is delicate you don't want to break it!

Well...most of us save money to go travel but you have that covered so I would keep it because as you said you are obsessed with SITC...you might as well keep it as investment and sell it in a few years. It will probably be worth more but make sure sequins don't get tarnished.
Keep the bag and wear it with Jeans and heels.
