    Finally the bass pickups join the party. I was really impressed with the P/J combination and how well the bridge pickup sounded by itself and with the P. Definitely on my radar. 😺👍

    They look sweet but no 5 string options in 2024 is just ridiculous. I know Fender is built off their classic designs but you can do that without acting like it’s actually still the 60s

    • @MisterPoppy-sc1sj
      @MisterPoppy-sc1sj 28 дней назад +16

      90% of bass players are on 4 strings

    • @kingdeedee
      @kingdeedee 28 дней назад +3

      @@MisterPoppy-sc1sj that percentage drops incredibly quick when you filter it down to working bassists that own/ play at least one 5 string bass. And if you’re selling high end pickups, that’s the market you want along side the dedicated hobbyists, many of which will also own a 5. Let’s wake up and face reality here: every other respectable pickup maker in business has at least a semi-decent range of 5 string options. Fender is living under a rock. No wonder so many pros are so quick to swap for Nordstrand, Bartolini, Aguilar, etc on their FENDER basses

      @@ronbissell66 that’s the most childish thing I’ve ever heard. The only people arguing over 4 vs 5 are kids on reddit. No serious professional actually believes more or less strings make a better or worse instrument. Grow up

    What is the advantages or benefits of using Cobalt Chrome pickups if they sound just like Alnico 5 pickups? It seems that Tim Shaw VOICED the Cobalt Chrome pickups to be just like Alnico 5 magnetic pickups so what is the advantage or benefit of using Cobalt Chrome pickups?
