I know that this question is directed at Chainbrain, but ai might as well put my 2 cents in just in case he doesn't see it. For getting better at solos, what I would recommend is to play at 100% difficulty and slow down the speed to where you feel comfortable. Take it one chunk at a time and practice over and over again until you start nailing it. For beginner-friendly custom songs, I would recommend Black Sabbath as a good band for learning the fundamentals (power chords, pentatonic scale, etc.). Just as an aside, I don't like how the difficulty works in this game. It ends up making it more difficult to learn the song in my opinion. I'd much rather slow down the song and memorize a riff that way.
@@Leviathan_Cross Okay thanks I mean I have songs like one and what not that I can play till the solo and that's what always gets me especially when I didn't have customs and was limited to playing on xbox

A recent update seems to have stopped rocksmith 2014 from opening up on PC, how do you get yours to work?
Follow my cdlc guide again and it will work. You need the updated dll for it to work
