many tourists return back to malaysia during ramadan. mostly to experienced ramadan it self. in other words, ramadan also helps Malaysia's tourism sector. all sectors run as usual, will not affect the tourists. bazaar ramadan will start usually 4pm everyday throughout the month. and malay/muslim restaurants open from evening to night.
Brother and sister from uk, there is no problem in Ramadhan. Just go to non Muslim restaurants. Furthermore, during dinner, there will be normalcy again. I just went to a Muslim Indian restaurant , no queues and food was aplenty as Muslims break their fast at home, some will takeaway to consume later. Just that breakfast may not be available. Buy your bread and jam and coffee. I had a great time eating at 6.30 pm. In normal days, not enough food or too many people.
Nothin is a mistake during Ramadhan actually you’ll learn more of our culture and variety of food as well because during Ramadhan there’s a lot of food that’ll not be seen in normal day only during Ramadhan and if you lucky enough to get to Eid or Hari Raya that must be new experience for you guys to see us celebrate Eid here 🙏🏻 thank you for visiting my beloved country ❤️

_Selamat datang_ welcome to malaysia. Though you bungled it on the time zone and missed your ferry ride, but you two lovebirds are right on time to be in malaysia instead of in thailand, for some serious ramadhan bazaar-hopping! Here you can sample a plethora of local traditional malay delicacies, some of which you cannot find outside of the month, yummmmmm! 😋 Please don't forget and forego this experience whether in langkawi or in KL or wherever, and eat lots and lots for me!!! Oh no, I'm truly beginning to miss those food now! 😔 Anyway, remember the best times to go to any ramadhan bazaar would be between 4 to 6pm, and that's *malaysian* time okay! Er maybe on the 1st day you should go just slightly later at 5pm because these guys may not be fully ready yet. But don't get there after 630, lots of the goodies would be gone just like your originally-planned ferry! Oh another thing, yes yaz, forearms, foreheads, foreclosures, they are *ALL* meant to sweat, or make you sweat! Now be safe and have fun! 👍
Hi bro welcome to Malaysia actually welcome to Langkawi you will have many choices in here you can visit Bazar Ramadan in there you can get more local food and drinks in there
OMG I literally would have missed my train today without that video 🫣 I've crossed Thai/ Malay border so many times but hadn't in mind that there's a time difference at all. It would have been a nightmare to find another transport to catch my flight to Sri Lanka in time. You guys (and the you tube algorithm 😅) saved my trip 🙏🏼
Is kinda interesting when seeing foreigner introduce about home country. If you cant take gravy/"kuah" for roti canai. You can try different way of eating it. 1. Roti canai dip with the white sugar 2. Roti canai dip with "susu pekat". You will find something new.
I think you did a bit of a roundabout going to Langkawi. You could've taken a mini to Satun on the west coast of Thailand (approx. 2.5 hours from Songkhla) and then take a ferry direct to Langkawi.
Penang & KL usually foreigners first exciting journey in Malaysia.Next journey will be Kuching & Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia (Borneo). The other rest places are just adventures.
Welcome to Malaysia! 🇲🇾During the month of Ramadan, non-Muslims are allowed to eat and there are non-halal restaurants that are open. Don't forget to visit other places in Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur and others.
Roti canai is pronounced as chanai like cha-cha. Our pronunciation of the letters are consistent as compared to English so once you remember the pronunciation of each letters, you can pretty much pronounce all the words correctly.😂
FYI some of the different types of sambal/sauce (like you had in the video) may contain ground anchovies (ikan bilis) or prawn seasoning (belacan) in it, just in case you want to avoid consuming meats. There used to be a ferry service from 🇹🇭 direct to Langkawi not sure if it's still in service 🤔
We have three major races in peninsula M'sia. Malay, Chinese and indian. Only Malay and indian Muslim shop are not open . The rest still operate as usual. All the fast food operate as usual. Only Muslim are not allowed to dine in during the fasting hours Ramadan bazaar is a place that foreigners went to during this fasting month because some many food available.
The letter "c" in Malaysia is pronounced "ch". So roti canai is pronounced "roti chanai". The hard sound is always written with the letter "k". So the English word "chocolate" is written as "coklat" in Malay.
Ramadan is even better. Btw, even the muslims are fasting, you can openly eat. There is no rules not allowing non muslim to eat bcoz malaysia consist of many non-muslims too.

The letter "c" in Malaysia is pronounced "ch". So roti canai is pronounced "roti chanai". The hard sound is always written with the letter "k". So the English word "chocolate" is written as "coklat" in Malay.
