Seattle is one of my favorite places in the US and I’ve traveled to a lot of places(both in and outside of the US). I don’t know why I underestimated the city, but I was blown away by how beautiful it was. I can’t wait to go back.
I feel like they finally found their element again. Travel in a van, live in it, enjoy the nature But also stay at some awesome Airbnbs couple of nights and show it to us as they always did. Or a boat :) Nice. P.S. It was such a bummer that they can't film in National parks without those strange and questionable regulations but I am perfectly ok with what I see now. Good job Kara and Nate!
Really how? Both do lots of extra..I recognize it and they work well together..a rare find indded... Love and admire them....❤❤ Request----- Christmas special this time around guys?
Agreed. They set up so many shots, esp. for transitions. Every once in a while it strikes me during a scene of them walking away, or from a distance, etc., how much planning went into the set up. It's like they have someone else on camera, but then I remember they don't!
I know that this is 2 years old. But at 3:08 you said about you didn't know why you would flush a little water back into the toilet. It's for the same reason we all do with water toilets on land. The water is like a plug / stopper. Without the water in the hole. It's just an empty hole. You would get ALL the nasty smells that you and everyone else before you has flushed before. On a boat / houseboat the black water tank is emptied about every 7-10 days. So that little extra water blocking in that small hole helps stop 7-10 days of smells coming right back at you. I think you get the picture!
I love your videos and attitude. I’d like to call you in as someone who struggles with disordered eating that in your last several videos there as been a lot of “ do we deserve this food we are about to eat” or “ did we do enough to deserve the food” or “ we really earned our meals today” something along those lines. And while I understand in principle where these ideas around food come from, and you’re obviously people who care about doing right by your body, I’d like to bring to your attention to how triggering for others this way of looking at food as something we do or don’t deserve based on our activity level can be. I fully understand that you cannot appease everyone, and I wanted to bring in another perspective that maybe you hadn’t considered. I am a huge fan and will continue to enjoy your adventures and positive attitudes!!! Stay well.

@Hooby thanks yeah I was mostly just being quick and general so they had some ideas of Washington as a state. I don't venture much to the suburbs since I live in a different city so it's mostly downtown. There is a cool Candy Cane Lane street in part of seattle's neighborhood that's been operating since 1940's and is pretty cool. All the houses in the Candy Lane have tons of decorations and most have inflatables the little island in the middle has a decoration as well. The rule for that part of the neighborhood is that if you get one of the houses you have to decorate for the Candy Lane but it was cool because even those who might not celebrate Christmas seemed to have lights up.
WHEN I VISITED SEATTLE BEFORE MAKING A DECISION TO MOVE HERE PERMANENTLY. I WATCHED SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE SO MANY TIMES! I just love you two, miss your worldly travels, but it's nice seeing how you've adapted in this COVID world we're in. Kara is the travel partner we all wish we had (fun, adventurous, and always smiling).
Beautiful, incredible Seattle! I lived on Whidbey Island when Sleepless in Seattle was being filmed. I remember see an ad in the newspaper, calling for extras in the film. The movie Meg and Rosie were watching and crying over is called An Affair to Remember - worth seeing - Cary Grant was so handsome!!😉
The hubs and I stayed on that lake in Seattle last year. It was spectacular and so close to everything. And “Sleepless in Seattle” is an absolute feel good movie. Other amazing films: since y’all are foodies..”Chef” and since you’re travelers...”The Way.”
I'm a native Seattleite (over 50 years), but have been living in The Philippines for the past 10 years now. I love it here... but I still love and miss Seattle. I do hope that you get to see many more of the sites and cool places while visiting Seattle... there is SOOOO much to see and do! If you can, head over the West Seattle Bridge and visit Alki Beach in West Seattle (my old stomping grounds) and be sure to see the mini Statue of Liberty and watch the gorgeous sunset over Puget Sound while enjoying Spud Fish & Chips (my absolute favorite fish & chips, with Ivars in a close 2nd). And you MUST check out the downtown Seattle waterfront and the Public Market, to see them throw the fish. No other farmers market quite like the one in Seattle! And while there, be sure to check out the very first Starbucks next door to the Public Market! As much as you two love coffee... you've come to the right place! Oh... and if you have time... ride the ferry!!! A trip to Vashon or Bainbridge Island is like going to another time in a far off land! You can hop a ferry to Vashon (15 minute ride) from West Seattle, or around an hour trip to Bainbridge from the downtown ferry terminal (next door to the original Ivars). I've been following your vlog for a while now, and especially enjoyed your vlogs of the Philippines! Now I'll be looking forward to your next video of more adventures in my home town of Seattle!!!

I love how he always brings her morning coffee ☕ 😍
I still love how you do your intro. It's very good!
Agree with you Luke, Kara has a nice style to her editing :)
WHEN I VISITED SEATTLE BEFORE MAKING A DECISION TO MOVE HERE PERMANENTLY. I WATCHED SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE SO MANY TIMES! THE CITY HAS LOST ITS MAGIC OVE ME A BIT FROM LIVING HERE NOW, BUT YOU HAVE GIVEN ME THAT FEELING AGAIN! THANK YOU! ENJOY OUR EMERALD CITY! NO, I DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS EVER NAMED THAT! LOL LOVE YOU GUYS!
Awwwwww, its the prettiest ❤️❤️,youtotally in love with that right now!! SO FREAKIN GOOD!👍🏻
I am so enjoying watching you two beautiful people. You two are absolutely adorable. Thank you for making me smile watching you two!
I am a huge grey’s anatomy fan so seeing Seattle is amazing. Now I need to go🥰 please do a city center tour🙏🏻
Maybe after all the destruction is cleaned up.
I love watching your guys videos, so much positive energy and love between you two.
I love kara's smile💓
She’s beautiful!!
@kevin weaver hi 🙋🏼♀️ 🙋🏻♂️ Kara’s dad!!!! She is an inspiration- I (Amy) was never techy but Kara making vlogs made me feel like I could tell stories that way too! My hubby and I quit our jobs to travel and vlog as we were inspired by your kids doing it!! Thank you for raising her brave and kind 💛! I would say you should be so so proud but I know you are 😃
I visit Seattle frequently to see my daughter. Last time we went kayaking on Lake Union and over to Lake Washington. I loved exploring the houseboat neighborhoods. It was kind of awesome.
Seattle is so beautiful!!
I just love you two, miss your worldly travels, but it's nice seeing how you've adapted in this COVID world we're in. Kara is the travel partner we all wish we had (fun, adventurous, and always smiling).
I don’t think it’s a Kara and Nate video if one of them doesn’t hit their head😂🥰😂🥰
I love themmm ahhhhhh!!!! I feel so happy and calm when I watch them!!
We loved Seattle. My hubby and I laid on the grass of that park and had a picnic and read Love Does by Bob Goff it was so so good and fun!!
You two are a breath of fresh air in this crazy world.
i'm so glad you feel that way💙
Why do I get the feeling you don’t really like the van that much 😂
I am getting the same feeling with the last few videos being them staying in other places!
they are taking a break from van life and will be soon!
With their heater broken, it's probably not the most comfortable right now. :-)
I think that they like the van but will always prefer to travel like they used to.
Poor van. I thought the part of the Vanlife is that your actually love your van.
The hubs and I stayed on that lake in Seattle last year. It was spectacular and so close to everything.
And “Sleepless in Seattle” is an absolute feel good movie. Other amazing films: since y’all are foodies..”Chef” and since you’re travelers...”The Way.”
You guys would literally stay anywhere as long has the place has coffee😂☕
Kirsten, that is soooo true :) hahaha but coffee is the best :)
haha this kinda describes my life tbh! Btw, if you're interested I have a travel channel as well! Feel free to check it out!😍
You go gurl, so true😂
Your channel and my love for sailing channels has come together I to one glorious video. Love it!
"country number... 101" aww this made me laugh and cry at the same time lol
I love Seattle! I remember the many times my friends and I would walk around in the rain and go find the best clam chowder :)
This is giving me Grey’s Anatomy vibes 🤍
I love to watch your old videos whenever I am sad because you guys make me happy 🙂
Nate with his signature H&M green sweatshirt :)
