I worked for Subaru from 92 till 98 and loved these cars , had a black wagon as a company car for 4500 km's and then sold it as a demonstrator ...loved every moment of it and still want my own now!
Good video but you forgot the an important bit of info. The original Legacy speed record was set between January 2 and January 21, 1989, with three Japanese-spec turbocharged RS sedans at the Arizona Test Center outside of Phoenix, Arizona. It broke the 100,000 km FIA World Land Endurance Record by maintaining an average speed of 138.780 mph (223.345 km/h) for 447 hours, 44 minutes and 9.887 seconds, or 18.5 days.
I had a Subaru Liberty RS Turbo. In Spain it was called Subaru Legacy 2.0 AWD. I drove it off road and in the mountains. I enjoyed that car like no other.
I love my RS wagon to bits. It would be great to see these cars get a bit more appreciation for how they truly set subaru up for what they would become

@@joshgellatly7704 Yeah she weeps a bit from the valve covers, but doesn't use any oil and still idles smooth as! Got a spare Legacy RS and an AUD Liberty RS EJ20G in the garage too, just in case lol
Thanks Shannons! Some recognition for my favourite boxer, and I on a very straight RS Wagon! And thanks to Daniel for wearing one of my Boxer Beauty shirts, I supply the repro stickers for these if anyone is interested at www.boxerbeauty.com
@15:30 "No longer could you buy a FWD Subaru". Well, a little hack on the GT (and I suspect RS too). There was a fuse under the hood to make it dedicated FWD. Pointless, but fun never the less.

I drove a white RS wagon for about four years. One of the best cars I've driven.
