Question for you. I'm new to reloading and have a couple of these kits. I cannot figure out how to get my bullet seated to the right depth. It either sticks out way too far and the overall length is too long, or it's recessed past the crimping groove. Another issue I was encountering is after I cramped the cartridge it could freely spin in the case. Do you have any advice on how to figure out adjusting the tool to proper bullet seating length?
The more you know the less you need to do a job. A top mechanic change my Ford Ranger engine in my driveway using his hand tools in his trunk. I need way more to do what you did so easiely.
Great video. thanks so much. So many reloading vids are really long winded and complicated. I just want to start but am a bit intimidated by all the little details. Having one of these single unit kits seems to be a g reat way to start the process. How are the solar panels holding up? Video you psoted 9 years ago has had no comments of late. I was wondering how those soalr mounts have held up?
Thanks for uploading this informative video. I reload, but I don't think I've ever used a simple Lee Loader. I'm wondering whether the hammering might eventually squash or deform the brass more than a reloading press would. Currently I reload for my .357 magnum, but I am seriously thinking about getting a 45-70 for hunting. Best wishes from New Zealand.
I reload and love it. I even cast my projectiles. I need to pick up one of this kits for 308. Brother how is your solar doing? All so would you mind if I called you some time? I need help with my solar. Thanks and God Bless.
You are a mind reader or what? hehe, Al do you recall making a video such as this one on reloading the 44 Mag? Well, I've watched that video several times this week, waiting on my reloading components. Powder and primers have been hard to find. Anyway, Ill be reloading my very first time this week, using the Lee loader! IM as excited as can be :) Thanks for quality videos, and GOD be with you, and your Family!~~John
The simplest and easiest video I’ve seen on reloading the 45-70 thanks for taking the time to make this video 👍🏽
You're welcome
Great instructions on loading the 45-70 Government I will definitely purchase the loading kit for my Pedersoli Competition Sharps 45-70 Government
Good vid….yours is the only one I’ve seen that’s shows/mentions how to adjust OAL of the compleated round. Thanks.
Terrific for building rounds at the range to test different loads. Good job!
This explained everything that I had questions about with my loader, thanks for this!
How do you flare out the case allowing the bullet to seat.
Hi great video, i would like to know do you use black powder when reloading the 45-70 govt. Is it safe to reload without setting off the black powder?
Have just started to reload, lots of enjoyment.
Nick Musuraca Thanks Nick, I hope you have lots of safe fun enjoying the hobby.! God bless you and yours.
Thanks and Blessings! I’m hoping to give this a try....

Just watched the last 2 minutes of the video. I think you answered my question
Can I ask maybe what might seem like a dumb question? Why do you resize the case in this case?
Because if you don't resize the neck, the bullet will fall out. You have to resize the neck for the bullet to fit tightly and then crimp it.
@@econewpowerthis kit offers no crimp after the bullet goes in

I had 2 primers blow up in my hand doing this. Out of 14 bullets I reloaded
. I then got a hand priming squeeze tool.
Filmato ottimo , istruzioni molto chiare. Grazie TKS from Italy
