This kind of artists deserve nothing but love.
Jacoby wrote the original about his best friend and his struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts; listening to both versions back to back, I think of this one as the triumphant anthem of someone overcoming those dark thoughts with a more lively beat and themes of success throughout the lyrics of the reloaded version.
Would not complain at all if there was an extended version of this song. 2 minutes and 17 seconds of awesomeness is just not enough. I'm a huge fan of the original and this version does not disappoint at all.

It's not really a dark or desperate song like the original. The melody and the tempo is more rebellious, more anarchist, almost funky or poppy. I would go so far as to say in parts it almost sounds up beat. Which doesn't necessarily fit the desperation, anguish, dispair and angst of the original lyrics. But it's a cool remix. Clean, modern and pays a solid homage to the original. Nice work to Papa Roach and Jeris Johnson for putting this together during such difficult times.
People have learned to handle and express things like anxiety and depression differently because this generation is just way more open about those things than any before. I hear plenty of darkness in this dudes lyrics personally lol

It's not really a dark or desperate song like the original. The melody and the tempo is more rebellious, more anarchist, almost funky or poppy. I would go so far as to say in parts it almost sounds up beat. Which doesn't necessarily fit the desperation, anguish, dispair and angst of the original lyrics. But it's a cool remix. Clean, modern and pays a solid homage to the original. Nice work to Papa Roach and Jeris Johnson for putting this together during such difficult times.
