Hello Tom and Kay I have watched many of your videos you’re very thorough you explain everything very well and just the way that you have shown how the recipe comes out has been the same result that I have found out thank you very much I look forward to all of your videos.
I've got one in the freezer. It's time to bust it out. I dry rub, oil spray it, then sear it, then slow cook it with veggies. Wonder if I could pressure it too?? Hmmm
Can I come over for dinner? LOL. That looks delicious! Just got my Foodi yesterday and want to do this. I think I’ll be adding beef broth and onion soup mix instead of just water. Garlic is a must, too!
Great video. Me personally I would try to get all the veggies under the meat so when the juices drip down from the meat it would put more flavor to the veggies
Hey sir I got a question for you I watch a lot of your videos and I was just wondering how come nobody does corned beef and cabbage in the Ninja foodi I've got a ninja foodi and I did it and it turned out really well but I don't have a RUclips channel like you guys do so I was just wondering why nobody's ever done corned beef and cabbage
Don Wilson I wonder if it would be very similar to these cooking instructions? Just don’t put the Montreal seasoning on it. Add veggies. My family always added these veggies plus cabbage. Not much difference in my mind. Good luck.
Thanks for the tip.. I just cooked your way. Because this is the first time I ever cooked a pot roast!! On this day may 19 2020..Except i had to cook mine a little longer because it was a little big of chuck roast.. But man it was juciey tender and delicious!! Thanks for sharing it was great!!
If you're like me and just love gravy. u can use beef broth as the liquid, but either way, if u throw a couple brown gravy packets in the left over liquid you get some delicious gravy to pour over EVERYTHING, yum.

Thanks so much for your video, Tom. I got a Ninja Foodie for Christmas and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. Your instructions were so helpful. I making a pot roast as I type this and so far so good. Thanks again.

could you have put the seared meat in the braising liquid without the rack when you pressure cooked it to infuse the awesome flavor of the liquid into the meat as it cooked then tossed your veggies in there for the last cook?.. that way all of your meat and veggies would be cooking in the liquid instead of having plain steam cook them?

Quarter the roast, use larger veggies and you can cook them all together for 30 minutes after searing the meat.

That sounds good. Thanks for the idea.
And a cup of red wine
One tip . Use beef broth instead of water and use your steam gadget you have for the vegetable . Go about 6 mins for vegetables without being mush
Did you use beef broth as your liquid for the veggies too?
Did you take your meat out when you switched it to steam?
So lovely 🤩 I would baste the potatoes with the oil you seared the beef in with red onions xx
Great idea!!
I’m going to the grocery for these ingredients. Pot roast tonight! Some brown gravy would be a good addition. Plus a pan of cornbread.

Chuck roast (see 0:03) 2 to 2.5 lbs (see 0:06).

that seems like a lot of oil
It's definitely A LOT more than he needed for this.
If he had less oil, he likely could have gotten a better seat on the first side.
Deep Dried that meat and then lost all the juice in all that oil...
Also 45 mins on pressure cooking?? WTH??
You did not need to out that much oil in the pot
Looks easier to cook conventional style.
In my opinion, sir, frying it with oil defeats the purpose of having a Ninja Foodi that can air fry or broil.
