My family just visited Oahu earlier this year, so it was fun seeing some of the spots we visited too! Good to know that the Dole Whip is just as good at Disneyland. We have only tried it at the Dole Plantation, and were excited to learn from one of your food videos that it’s available at Disneyland, but weren’t sure if it would be as good, until now. Thanks for the tip! Also, I so appreciate the authenticity that you and your wife bring to your videos. It’s very refreshing in our social media world that is so filtered. I’ve learned so much from your videos and feel much more prepared for a great Disneyland trip in a couple weeks. It’s been a couple years for us, and so much has changed. Thank you!
What a great vacation in Hawaii. I only got to see it while I was flying home from Korea Trevor. Just a changing of planes but it sure looked amazing from the sky.😊
So glad i was able to see this. It was so beautiful. I haven't been to Hawaii since 1984 and man how i want to go back. Thank you for sharing this adventure ❤😊😊
Thx for these Hawaii videos.. we booked for next year so these are good for research on what we want to do before we take a cruise for 8 days back to Canada.
Hi Traver and lovely family! We are in Oahu now and went to the Dole plantation yesterday. We were at the beach in the north shore and saw sea turtles! We just missed you! We are having a blast and hope you are too! Have a wonderful trip!
I'm with you. The views are amazing. Mountains, blue sky, and green trees. Can't go wrong. Luau's are fun. I always laugh when they make those faces. And amazed with the fire dancers. In Oregon we have a Hawaiian Shaved Ice food truck. 🍧 Are work is going to have them come in August for Hawaiian day. So excited.
We have a company called Kona Ice here. And our church hires them every year after our weeklong Summer Blast activity in July. So I’ll be getting some again here soon. But it’s just your typical mainland snowcone. Not at all like Hawaiian Shave Ice.
@SoCal Disney Dad ares is Kona as well. So funny. We also have a store called Menehune Murphy shaved ice not far from where I live . And it has ice cream, just like Hawaii. I forgot.
I remember going the the Dole plantation back in ‘83 and getting a sample slice of pineapple at the end of the tour. It ruined pineapple for me forever because no pineapple I’ve had since can compare to how amazing that slice was.
Kaimana Shaved Ice was so good and healthier than a lot of other places…. Giovanni’s was ridiculously good (garlic shrimp) however; it was very greasy so not the best for sensitive stomachs. The one you both got looked a lot better and less greasier. They had a crepe place by Giovanni’s that was amazing think it was called North Shore Crepes. They had gf crepes too and they were so good (also have a place at Polynesian Cultural Center). Very pricey tho.
Looking back at it, do you recommend paying a higher price for better Luau seats? Or was the silver really great (for kids to still be able to see well)?
I thought we had a great spot. I actually liked that it was further in the back for taking the kids on bathroom breaks without interrupting others. And the views all around are good because it’s not a large space so you can see just fine.
Ooo, I’m gonna have to go check out the Big Wave Shrimp since they have already shelled shrimp 😂 Growing up we always wandered around the maze aimlessly and raced to see who could get all the stamps and exit first. We considered using the map cheating I agree completely, kona ice is NOT hawaiian shave ice. 😂
Big Wave was fantastic! Definitely go give it a try. Especially since it has peeled shrimp. I felt it was even better peeled because then you still have all the seasoning and garlic. When you pull the shell off it loses most of that stuff.

I was there yesterday evening I got pineapple candy and pineapple float and candied nuts and put it on the ice cream ❤

My family and I are headed to Hawaii for the first time. This was very helpful.
I hope you have an awesome time. We absolutely loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

There’s no better place to get pineapple than straight from the source.

I thought the dole whip was better at dole over Disney. Maybe because we got fresh pineapple on it

I know what the problem was with the chocolate dipped pineapple. It was hard chocolate, and not icing!
Oh no! No audio 😢😮
It seems to be working for me? Refresh? Try a different browser?
Did I see that right? $36 for a banana split?? 😅
Yeah. It was a pretty massive ice cream though. I didn’t get it, but it looked huge.
2:16 why is it in Japanese too
Japanese is the second most prominent language in Hawaii.
Hawaii is mostly Polynesian and Japanese in heritage.
