The Dole Planation has been around since 1900 and is home to the tastiest pineapples in all the world. Come along with us as we ride the Pineapple Express Train, get lost in the World's Largest Maze, check out the expansive Dole Gift Shop and most importantly eat a delicious Dole Whip!

You guys being so unimpressed with the maze and the train ride is confirming my worst fear. That everything is cooler when you are little. I went to Dole when I was a kid and I just thought it was the coolest place ever haha
We loved it! The train wasn’t our favorite but that’s probably just because we had a bad seat

Peter, sugar cane is the best snacks, you literally just chew and suck on it until all the juice is gone (best served cold, and with some chili powder ;)

I was born on Maui and moved to Oahu later on and remember back in the day there was a side gate to the maze that had a broken lock. My friends and I would run around the maze at night a few times every summer doing teen shenanigans. A couple decades later and I’m sure that is not tolerated anymore.. but dang those are some great memories to reminisce on. Nothing beats teen years on the island.

The Dole Whips were the only thing worthwhile when we went. Total tourist trap, but you have to do it once... and then never again. 😂

As I kid, I lived on Scofield Barracks which is literally 15 minutes down the road from the Dole Plantation, and we’d always go on the train and get Dole Whip. Because it was so close, I was always so confused when we visited Disneyland why people were waiting in such long lines for Dole Whip. Now as a resident of SoCal, I totally understand the need to wait in those lines 😂

My family has had someone employed by Dole for at least 3 generations now and I still live close enough to hear the train whistle. That big piece of equipment at 4:52 came from Lana`i and was used to pick pineapple from the fields. The boom went over the field and the workers followed behind in a row picking and throwing the pineapples on the conveyor belt as the machine crawled along. The second, smaller piece of equipment was a version that rode on top of the trucks that transported the pineapples out of the fields and was used in the fields on Oahu.

I’ve risen the train a few times. One time when we were on it a pin fell out of one of the wheels. We had to stop while the workers looked for the pin. They eventually found it, put back on and we were on our way again 🤣

That train looks like the one that use to go around Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland. You can still see some track when you ride the Mark Twain.

We visit Hawaii a lot because we have family there and whenever we went to the Dole Plantation we would only just go and get a Dole Whip. So good! I have never been on the train and I think I did the maze once when I was a kid.

My favorite snack at wdw is the chocolate dipped pineapple spear...yum! Werthers at Epcot is one place to get them 😊🍍 and they don't have that deadly point! lol

I loved this video. It is coming up to a year since I was in Hawaii for my 50th... I enjoyed tge train ride, in saying that it was raining the day I was there and we could barely hear the audio. I just enjoyed seeing where it all happens. I had my 1st Dole whip there, I enjoyed it but too sweet for me... my heart broke seeing that cat.. it was there when I was there... that gift soft is fantastic... another awesome e video guys

@@OrdinaryAdventures i have sent an email to the Hawaiian humane society about that cat as it did not look in a good way... I have 5 cats and they are all rescues.. I dont understand how this cat can be in such a bad way. It really broke my heart.

Just thought you should know, as regular viewers, my wife and I laughed so much at the misadventures of the train and maze. This would be an awesome series seeing you get excited for 'attractions' that aren't very good. Come on down close to my hometown where there's some poor local attractions (Cave City, KY) that siphon customers going to and from Mammoth Cave.

So true!! You only see chickens as wildlife, when we last went to Hawaii our tour guide told us that a hurricane blew all the chickens in the farms out and they were never able to get the chickens back so now they are loose everywhere. 🐔🐔🐔

As a local, I only ever went there when my now grown , six kids were little. I’d pack a lunch & the kids would run around all day in the maze & sleep good that night. 😉🤙

Chocolate covered pineapples were one of my favorites whenever I’d go to Disneyland. I couldn’t leave the park without that and a pickle. Now I’m hungry... thanks, guys 😒😂

Ah memories, Roberts Hawaii tours left me at the dole plantation, dole whip in hand, I had to take a $120 taxi ride back to my hotel in Waikiki 😂

The best Dole Whip is definitely at the Dole Plantation! It's just not the same if you get it somewhere else. 😁 The best maze in the world is the Davis Mega Maze in Sterling Massachusetts. It is a giant corn maze that is redesigned and rethemed every year. Some years it is really hard to get out of, other years not so much. Though it is really fun and my daughter and I do it every year. It is best to go through it in September when the corn is really tall. If you're ever in MA., give it a try. You should google it and check out some of the designs they've had over the years. 😁

We have been on the train many times, it is pretty educational, they explain stories and history, so you missed a lot of information. Bummer because it is more educational than anything and relaxing. We were in the front of the line before but not since COVID and they didn’t put us where you were... we were also in a larger group so we will make sure we can hear the speaker next time we go. Good tip. It sucks because you missed a lot of information. You missed the best part of the gift shop... they have ornaments you can have personalized with your names etc. we get one every time we go to remember our trip. They are so cute. Love the vids.Can’t wait to see more. We are going later in the year back to my home (Oahu) so this is nice to get us excited. Btw you need to visit Aulani outside of COVID... so much to do it makes staying there worth the price. I was also surprised you didn’t buy the refillable mugs... did you see them when you went? I saw the option on the website. Take care, you both are so cute to watch.

It was sooo good
I was excited to do the maze my first visit and when I realized you could see over and through the walls I passed on it. 😆 After seeing this I'm glad I skipped it. Their pineapple chews are so good too and a must to get every time I'm there. Next time Kitra just do what I do, buy a new suitcase to carry all my goodies home.
