God damn, I love it whenever it's possible to get a f+1+2 into a combo, such a satisfying hit! Shame it can be so axis dependent. Speaking of which, using f+1+2 in the CH B+1 combo; while I found while it worked on a lot of the cast, there were some characters I couldn't get it to work on. Paul was one I believe (just from memory here). Dunno if I was doing something wrong, as the actual timing of the f+1+2 mattered against some characters for instance. A weird one for sure!

About the Jaguar step 2: you can get the same setup with the basic 2+4 and 1+3 throws and with the just frame f3 1+2, it seems that side rolling king is a bad idea lol
I thought the BK enders could be universally guaranteed after CH b1. You also missed some stuff like 1+2, 3 being guaranteed after CH f,f n 1+2 at wall or with low pushback. Good video either way though.
BK ender is a guaranteed hit, since the opponents action after the tailspin dominates what the damage will be, for guaranteed hits i have their own videos. CH f,f,N,1+2, 1+2 does not work against every character and so it can never be considered a universal max damage and therefore is not a part of this video.

Great work !! man :). you can try this small combo too. hold D/F 2 (gut punish) ,FF1, JGS , (1+4). ( around 80 damage or 78) Side step 2 , D/F( 2,1) , then gaint swing (75damage and this combo looks nice cuz you pick the opponent while spinning in the air) XP
Those numbers are simply wrong i'm afraid. Firstly FC d/f+2, f,f+1, S!, JGS 1+4 deals 67 dmg and secondly it is not a universal combo that works against everyone. SS+2, S!, d/f+2,1, GS deals 62 dmg, not 75 dmg.
Suggest to make a mini tech guide about lowparry in forgotten realms: you Can make f,f,f+2+4 as the First nove After Low parry; in forgotten realms Can be really useful! Oc also f,hcf+2.
Hey J King, what are your thoughts on buffering giant swing/TT/some throw out of the rolling elbow cancel? Seems like a decent 50/50 setup. If you know your opponent is going to tech roll or hold back on wakeup, one may go for f,F+2,b~db,d,df,f+1. Crouchers and those who try an attack may be punished with the elbow into the hit-confirmable clothesline followup (f,F+2,1), or another fast mid given that you have enough advantage to do so. I've only discovered this recently while testing out the leniency of the GS buffer and am pretty sure this is old tech. I'm curious about what can be done using any disadvantage or hesitation from the opponent when using the f,F+2 cancel. If the opponent manages to "escape" a re-float combo attempt, there is still the threat of having to deal with a buffered GS or a fast mid.

So I've been watching a lot of your videos recently (mostly combo videos), and I learn combos with moves that I rarely used before (Black Bomb, b+1, headbutt, the jump smash) but I'm kinda lost with King's gameplan : I feel like I try too much to use these moves and hope that they work (in order to combo), thus leading me to getting punished. Maybe I didn't see correctly if one of your videos focus on King's gameplan, but what should I really try to do ? Poke in order to counter hit with b+1 ? Focus on chain grabs ? I hope you'll be able to help me with all that, because right now I'm kinda lost lol Thanks !
Well, firstly my strategy videos are more about the gameplan and understanding the character and his capabilities, so i would look into those. To me King has always been a defencive character, coming from the earlier installments of the franchise and so playing defensive has always worked great for myself. I use a lot of spacing, whiff punishing, block punishing and character knowledge to my advantage. So my personal advice would be to be calm, patient and not rush into decisions with King, but instead make calculative and very sparing attacks when I know they are going to work. Of course if you do want to go into the offence, you can't forget King's throws like his iSW, GS, tijuana twister or his cd multi-throws. For his natural game, 3 moves are very important. Long-mid range: f,f+1. Mid-close range: d/f+1. Mid-close range f+1,2. Also if the opponent likes to rush you down, throwing very unexpected jabs 1,2 here and there, even from far away every now and then. They work surprisingly often.
@@Hunt4iSW Alley kicks are great too since they can consist of only 1 or 7 and can be stopped anywhere in between, and can stun or not stun to confuse some opponents. I also like to intentionally whiff B+4, and based on opponent reaction almost 100% of the time deal good damage.
I've mained King since T3, and was nicknamed Mufasa by TIGER_MASK and MIC_ATL since 38 seems to be the oldest active King main. I'm self taught except for a few things in this game, but my style while super unique and strange is still either unstoppable or laughable. I beat purple ranks then lose to a kyu...even gave RIP a hard time earlier this year. I've tried training with a couple of top tanyer players, but to little improvement. Anyways, I've been working with D 1+2, and found that SS,2 then F,F+1 followed with SS L, 2+4 throw chain lands quite often for me. What are your thoughts, is D1+2 too risky to give too much time to, when other launches should be focused on?
It is a hail mary, hardly ever something that you can count on hitting 100%. The key words are crushing and mind games. Seldom can you punish block or whiff with moves as slow as d+1+2. A high risk high reward move which should be used sparingly.

True max damage for ss2 is SS2 uf 4 Df 43 f+1 isw but I bet you could get like f+1 like 2 extra hits more than I could. You gotta wait with the uf 4 so that it hits kinda on the way down for 42 damage

Guess I somehow put the wrong mail ... well I'll write it here . After a 1+3 air throw, you can hit a jaguar step 2 if the opponent side rolls, you have to input the jaguar step when you see them siderollin, to soon and it will hit on the ground or miss , too late and they will be able to block. The jaguar step 2 will connect on their back, after that f2,d1,2 string always connect and you get a back turned juggle. It's a niche strat that only works on people that like to sideroll, but the good thing is that it's not a gamble, you can react to the side roll and then go for it.
This might be asking for too much, but I’m struggling to consistently connect 2+1 with ff2...like I’m struggling to either get the move out or when it does it doesn’t connect :/ does anybody have suggestions?

Help me out here guys. I'm practise mode I can execute juggles no problem, but whenever I'm playing online it's impossible to do one, can't get the timing or execution. I find with king it's impossible to get the first hit in too. Is it slow connection or am I just lame?
Online connections create lag and because of it something that has already happened in game will appear on screen a few frames late. That means that you have to input your commands slightly earlier than offline.
@@Hunt4iSW After practicing for like 4 hours straight I finally manage to make it . I don't know how to explain but that " two time for word and punch " is the hardest to make it work in combo . Rest is easy .
Yes. It becomes even harder if you add the dash jab. This is because normally f,f+1 has a 3 frame window but with the dash jab it only has 1. And the window isn't an instant as soon as possible window but instead the f,f+1 needs to be slightly delayed by inputting f,F+1.

@@tamimkhan9093 Characters viability changes based on what level you play. Any character is good when you don't know them. But on the lowest levels characters with a lot of strings usually dominate. Then there are some infamous characters like Paul, Dragunov and Ling who are very unlike other characters and have easy yet strong tools. And at the highest level you have characters like Devil Jin and Steve who have the potential of being extremely good, but are locked away behind execution for many.
Some moves have that property against an aerial opponent (d/f+2,1 ; WS+2,2 ; 1+2,3 ; JGS 4 ; f,f+1 ; SS+2), some even against standing opponents (CH f,f+1 ; SS+2)

Won't work against smalls, but against males you can go with SS+2, iWS+3... for max

Not at this level. He only connects some 1/2 to extend some combos but still drop a considerable amount of them.

It stands for a neutral input, meaning nothing being pressed during it
It may be my input errors, but the rage combo doesn't seem to be universal
Have to have the side step deep enough and the f,f+1 timed right.

Can't do the f,f+1 instantly, but only delay it slightly by holding down the last forward for a frame or 2 before inputting the 1.

@@Hunt4iSW Same here, been Tekken loyal for 20 years, and theres still so much to learn. Tekken is just too good, and with the season 2 changes it's like learning Tekken 7 all over again.

Guess I somehow put the wrong mail ... well I'll write it here . After a 1+3 air throw, you can hit a jaguar step 2 if the opponent side rolls, you have to input the jaguar step when you see them siderollin, to soon and it will hit on the ground or miss , too late and they will be able to block. The jaguar step 2 will connect on their back, after that f2,d1,2 string always connect and you get a back turned juggle. It's a niche strat that only works on people that like to sideroll, but the good thing is that it's not a gamble, you can react to the side roll and then go for it.

That king has to be in that axis in relation to the opponent for that specific combo to work

Help me out here guys. I'm practise mode I can execute juggles no problem, but whenever I'm playing online it's impossible to do one, can't get the timing or execution. I find with king it's impossible to get the first hit in too. Is it slow connection or am I just lame?
Online connections create lag and because of it something that has already happened in game will appear on screen a few frames late. That means that you have to input your commands slightly earlier than offline.

Not universal; doesn't work against bears as far as I know. (Not even FC df+1, WS2,2 works on them)

After practicing for like 4 hours straight I finally manage to make it . I don't know how to explain but that " two time for word and punch " is the hardest to make it work in combo . Rest is easy .
Yes. It becomes even harder if you add the dash jab. This is because normally f,f+1 has a 3 frame window but with the dash jab it only has 1. And the window isn't an instant as soon as possible window but instead the f,f+1 needs to be slightly delayed by inputting f,F+1.

@@tamimkhan9093 Characters viability changes based on what level you play. Any character is good when you don't know them. But on the lowest levels characters with a lot of strings usually dominate. Then there are some infamous characters like Paul, Dragunov and Ling who are very unlike other characters and have easy yet strong tools. And at the highest level you have characters like Devil Jin and Steve who have the potential of being extremely good, but are locked away behind execution for many.
can you do a maximun damage with the rage art ??
It wouldn't really change anything, just switch the iSW ender with the Rage Art for a few extra damage
