Agreed. These stats seem to be pointless. ( Unless they are deliberately misleading ).They may mean something to the funding authorities, but they don’t help the ordinary citizen, or tell us anything we need to know. The ordinary citizen actually knows the truth about what happening in our streets.. But there’s a hidden agenda here. People suspect that certain types of crime are being covered up. Some are not being registered under the right heading. The question is “Why? ‘ . I don’t think the police are to blame. - it’s coming from higher up. Is it about cost- cutting ? Are they in denial ? Whatever it is, telling obvious lies is counter-productive. That crack about middle-class drug-taking in the capital was pretty crude.
Hahaha, I come from a small town in the North where you are guaranteed a fight every weekend night, I moved to London 30+ years ago and have seen a grand total of 3 fights in all that time.
I'd like to add, Northumbria is probably one of the least densely populated areas, if there's an incident, that affects the stats more so than an urban area.
Yeah, with Nothumbria he doesn't even mention what types of crimes he claims people can supposedly fall victim to., beyond a rather nebulous "conflicts". First town in and I'm unimpressed.
1. Orkney 2. Glasgow 3. Elton John's house 4. Whole of Liverpool 5. Half of London 6. Brighton Bum Bashers 7. Rapists in Ipswich 8. Theives in Nottingham 9. MI6 headquarters 10. Number 10
I knew Liverpool would be on the list😂 I live in Germany now, but was born and grew up in deepest, darkest Toxteth, near the city centre. Seen and heard some crazy things. I always felt safe there. But can understand why ppl think its dangerous
The problem with this video is that it focuses on the official statistics covering counties. Counties are huge and the areas within counties vary significantly. Counties have numerous cities and towns within their boundaries. For example in West Yorkshire there are places such as Wetherby and Ilkley and Keighley and Holbeck. The crime rates within these towns and areas are massively different. The same applies to all the counties listed and is giving a wrong impression to those from outside of the UK.
You could say the same about cities or even about 'nice' smaller towns that often have rough high-crime estates within them. Counties is as good a way to compare data as any other
Where did you emigrate to?Thinking about it myself, just seems to get worse, sometimes think there will end up with nothing recognisable from the past left!🤔
Ask question most dangerous places to live in England if you are white male or female any age. Answer various areas within most cities and towns with a certain non indigenous population.
If you give money to buy drugs to the real culprits you are complicit, as long as they have profit they will continue so people must stop buying drugs if they want the traffic to stop.
if you're an under-age white English girl then Rochdale is one of the most dangerous places to live, thanks to Islam, and giving a special mention to Pakistani men
London, Birmingham, London, Rotherham, London, Manchester, London, Middlesborough, London, Newcastle - that's only ten but here are many, many more including some over the border: Glasgow, Glasgow and Glasgow. Continuing the first ten: London, Hartlepool, London, Leeds, London, Liverpool, London, ... hope you're getting the picture.
London ain't bad at all I've lived worked and party in London all my life i am fine and everyone i know of course stuff goes down all depends on the person imo
@@ericsalles3393 City of London is the most dangerous small town in London, and is the most dangerous overall out of London's 33 towns, villages, and cities. The overall crime rate in City of London in 2020 was 612 crimes per 1,000 people. This compares poorly to London's overall crime rate, coming in 86% higher than the London rate of 87 per 1,000 residents. For England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as a whole, City of London is the most dangerous small town, and among the top 10 most dangerous locations out of all towns, cities, and villages. Hope this helps to open your eyes, Eric.
Not everywhere in Northumbria is dangerous, I live here in Alnwick and I love it, it's so beautiful here in the summer. And we get lots of holidaymakers here because of Alnwick castle.
Humberside does not exist. It used to be North/South Humberside, but North Humberside became East Riding of Yorkshire and South Humberside became North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire
Technically correct. But the crime rate in Hull is 124 crimes per thousand, putting it into the top 5 most violent cities in the country. Overall the East Riding is 87 crimes per thousand. As a Hullensian that depresses me.
Northumbria is NOT a county!!! Northumberland is. Northumbria includes Yorkshire, Durham, Cleveland, part of southern Scotland and parts of Cumbria as well as Northumberland. So, to sum up your video, crime is worse where people live in their largest numbers combined with concentrations of unemployment and poverty plus Kent. Who would have guessed that?
Not true these days. 'Northumberland' is, or was anything north of the river Humber. Hence the name. On the west you had places like Westmoreland, and Cumbaland, that became Cumbria. More importantly, you had Cumbria, through Wales, and into the North west of France called the Britons. Ask yourself why SUN- der- Land gets its name from!! Very poor mate. 2/10 for effort
@jhvoojh 1/10 for effort. Northumbria was, as you say, everything north of the Humber. It was an Anglo Saxon Kingdom which also included the whole of the North of England North of the Mersey and included South and South East Scotland, including Edinburgh. Check your history before correcting others. Northumberland is a county, pure and simple.
There are boroughs in London you would not walk into, in Birmingham and other midlands and southern cities. Your survey is flawed. You need to visit more areas
@@martinwilkinson7939 mmm he claims to visit these areas and has anecdotal evidence from other people so stats are mostly irrelevant except to highlight his points. As for deriding the areas I have indicated please note some of the towns listed here have smaller populations than say a borough in London, make geographical size irrelevant. It’s also a misnomer to point at Bradford or Rochdale as an entity when it’s actually certain areas if these towns and cities that are the actual areas with issues discussed here, and these parishes in these towns and cities are the same size or less than a London borough with far less population. A broad brush approach doesn’t give a true picture of what is going on in these areas, it demeans a whole place when only a small part of it is in issue. That is unfair. But hey, I suppose it’s a way of spending some time on a rainy day. I enjoyed it, but the segment is flawed.
Daniel Oliver You have never been to tower hamlets in London, were you get knifed after dark, or parts of Bradford, Liverpool or Luton that are totally no go areas...if you think Redcar is the worst fella you definitely have missed some towns and cities out.
I understand living in the UK for years. I grew up in Marine Park section of Brooklyn and never saw a crime in my life! Outer parts of city's neighborhoods are very similar looking to the London Suburbs. I felt like living in Hampton near Richmond was more like the outer parts of NYC than a suburbs. Suburbs here are more spread out although they go on and on here. Houses in the suburbs are more spread out unless you are in town centers. Outer parts of the city like Marine Park is like Hampton with how close houses are together that a close friend visited my from England thought Marine Park and Bay Ridge were suburbs!! That makes New Yorkers chuckle. Usually it is mainly quieter and safer parts than many inner city area that we used to call ghettos with half of the inner cities that most tourists won't see here when they visit. (Central Southern Bronx, North Central Brooklyn or Northeastern Quarter of Brooklyn, Western Half of Queens and northern Half of Manhattan. Most would see Central Southern Manhattan, Northwest Brooklyn. University Students live and Urban professionals. Financial Cultural and Entertainment districts with the rich and powerful of NYC. Outer parts have middle and some upper middle classes with some lower middle working class New Yorkers or the New Yorkers people thought of 20 30 years ago. They keep them safe especially before pre covid times. England I felt less safe traveling and walking around at night especially with the heavy drinking. I feel if people are in a bad mood, it comes out more when they drink. Beware especially if your travel on the trains at night any part of the UK or buses or underground!! Especially when traveling in groups, they look like gangs. Just do not look at them and usually they would not say anything. I witnessed groups of guys and gals traveling on the last trains leaving from London at 11 or 1 am. Last trains. Drunks on the train looking for fights. I am a tall strong man, I never had problems. I knew not to stare because they look right back like they were so angry you looked at them. I witnessed a few times groups coming on and people looked at them and they went into rages like I was scared for the people they were yelling at that the few people in the train cars left to another train cars. Police would talk to them. I went home late nights in NYC at 3 am. Most people stay in the middle cars. Like out of 6 train cars stay in the inner two or one where they will be full. Safety in numbers usually. Some people travel in the cars with no passengers in them and they got mugged or worse. I did that too when I was young. People would say I was lucky!! NYC I never saw a crime. Those nights were so quiet like most of the time in London at night but beware of the drunks of any class. Usually it is the lower economic or working class that sometimes are unhappy and angry looking for fights when they had too much to drink!! It can extend to middle class too if they had a bad day with British reputations of take it all in but when you are drunk, the truth comes out when you are happy, sad or annoyed/angry!! That police officer making 200,000 pounds a year? Thats where their taxes went to many government jobs that make more money than people in the private sector!! Taxes is another one. If you do not make much money like there, less taxes are paid but if you make more money there, you are taxed so much even more than NY and NJ or California taxes. VAT tax makes everything more. When they introduced that in Europe and the UK, they said it would replace the income tax. Well I guess that did not happen. Much of their taxes go towards their healthcare. Subsidizing lower income people like we do here but I think more so. There are people that do not work in council housing in every town like what we called low income housing or in the cities projects in the ghettos. Problem is that many of these people generation after generation not in the workforce or not counted in the workforce want more. They get exploited there like here by politicians on how best to take care of them but giving them a little more thats not enough. The kids get into gangs like some of their parents. Going back to the 30s 40s 50s before they were not given welfare like they are today. Their grandparents , great grandparents and further back, worked. Not working living off the system makes many of them feel stuck and wanting more and more and politicians make it worse.
I lived in Handsworth , Birmingham back in the nineties was burgled once , deliberately hit by a stolen car , was mugged twice fought a gang of kids who had knocked my mate out with a brick they couldn’t get onto the ground so one of them pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot me , told to go for it, the piece of shit freaked out and took off as did his mates. Oh did I mention that I was attacked with knives in some of the muggings ,once walked in on a robbery taking place in a corner shop another time our next door neighbour decided to hold his wife hostage with a knife during a domestic which led to the place being surrounded by armed cops. Not to mention the druggies coming to the pub up the road to get their fix. Another time I saw a man chasing another bloke with a iron bar . Ahhh Handsworth I miss it , not
I'm from Smethwick which is right next to Handsworth & that does sound like something that would happen in the 80's & 90's. Damn there was 2 riots that happened in the 80's in Handsworth. If people ain't from Brum they probably wouldn't know about the reputations of certain places in Brum.
@@lexico8165 yep Handsworth was the place to live back then and a couple of friends of mine told me about the riots also one of the places I lived in used to be a drug dealer’s place as another friend said that she had been to a party there back in the seventies, she also mentioned that there was a hidden safe as well which we were unaware of until she showed us where it was. There was a safe alright but alas it was empty.👍

Middlesbrough is the worst place I’ve ever been in the UK, it’s also the most violent. Newcastle is very nice in parts but can be as bad for violence as anywhere else in the UK but like the man says it’s a very safe country.
Barry Lee: Friends of Real Lancashire are concerned to promote the true identity of our county which has been extremely confused in the minds of some people, especially those working in the broadcasting and newspaper industries, since the local government reorganisation of 1974. The Government at that time stated that the "new counties" were administrative areas only, and that the boundaries of traditional counties such as Lancashire had not been changed. Unfortunately, the media refer to these administrative areas all too frequently and ignore the fact that places such as Barrow-in-Furness, Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, etc. are still in Lancashire.
When built it was( I've been reliably informed) very impressive. But over the nearly 2000yrs the local population has let's say accessed the ready made stone for building their own homes. I lived in a place called Corbridge which has its own roman Fort remains. So many of the buildings in the village are built from stone taken from the roman constructions, even my garden wall had stone with ancient roman graffiti carved into it! This is why the wall is all but gone!
I think you should focus not so much on dangerous towns but dangerous areas. In my home town of Sunderland I've had 4 cars stolen, had my flat burgled 5 times, been beaten up in the doorway of my house, and witnessed several crimes of theft and violence including a police officer surrounded by a chanting gang of youths who stopped him arresting a criminal suspect and this all happened in the East End of Sunderland. I've since moved to Prague and in 10 years have only seen 2 mild incidents of violence.
I'm Hendon born and bred. Still live there too mate. Ok-ish where I am but went to school in east end. Many friends there. Salt of the earth mixed in with scum like you wouldn't believe. Tough district that just got dafter and dafter when drugs and all came in. It was always fighting type place but some vague morality. Not now.
I’m sure London should have jumped higher than number 8 after Wayne Couzens attack on Sarah Everard. The force that is there to protect us has failed us as women. RIP Sarah.
You all make me laugh. One of these “immigrants” could become a doctor, like many have, and potentially save your life if needed, and you wouldn’t refuse it, so don’t embarrass yourself. Lmao
Food for thought - compared to South Africa, most of the rest of Africa, most of the South American countries, etc , the UK has no idea what danger is... just saying, count your blessings - at least England has a functional police force.
Exactly! I live in one of the “safest” countries in Africa and people get murdered often and unlike the uk were people get killed because of drugs, people here get killed for nothing at all on top of that the majority of people living here survive below minimum wage with their large families
They're very misleading. All the counties mentioned are on the whole, good, safe and attractive places to live. The crime figures come purely from a few towns within the counties. I would be happy to live in any of those places - apart from London!
I used to live about 50 metres from the first still of Lancashire. The town, Ormskirk, is a really nice, wealthy place with very little crime. Edit: Also, two of the Lancashire stills are of Southport which is in Merseyside.
Like a lot of these counties, much of Lancashire isn’t really dangerous at all. From what I can tell the only places with some genuinely dangerous areas are Blackpool, Preston, Blackburn and some areas of East Lancashire.
First to come to most people's mind is (Liverpool) not even on the list, Manchester crime is a cover up because of media city and the BBC as you heard, but having said that the north of England is the friendliest in the country proper England.
What ive found in Liverpool is if you don’t go looking for trouble, you’ll be fine. I’ve lived in a few rougher areas of the city (someone in a drug gang was once was shot dead a few doors up the road from me), but it tends to be targeted attacks.
Moved to Liverpool from Birmingham 25 years ago. Never felt safer. My scouse wife was shocked at the amount of violence in Birmingham city centre on Friday nights. Love Liverpool 👍
@@GS-ku3cj Birmingham sounds like a nice place I’m really surprised it’s so unsafe because my friend is always posting pictures of her in Birmingham (she’s from Nottingham)
The figures being used are NOT for counties, they are for police authority areas. Though the boundaries for seven of them match up, three do not. Neither Humberside nor Cleveland exist any more as counties, each being split in to four unitary authorities, whilst the Northumbria police authority covers not only the county Northumberland, but also the former Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Council area (Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead etc.)
"more than any other country in England"? Hmmm. I dont think I've been to a truly 'dangerous' place anywhere in England, despite certain towns and cities reputation for violence, but the again when I was being brought up in the 1970s and 80s, almost every high street in Britain at the weekends was a battlezone
I grew up and west yorkshire and yes, most parts of it are rough and at times dangerous, but next time please specify towns/cities instead of counties, but still, nice vid!
Greater Manchester was the first place in the entire United Kingdom where one of its citizens used hand grenades in their criminal activities. Manchester, particular east and south is probably more armed than greater London and that's some infamous feat
Humberside doesn’t exist and was a ridiculous idea for a county. East Yorkshire is a nice place and north lincs isn’t too bad either. The police and fire service still use it to save money, but Humberside has long gone
I appreciate you only did the top 10 and even more surprised that you did Kent as a whole. Surprised that Crawley didn’t make the list but as already stated you only did the top 10. Crawley is the most dangerous major town in West Sussex, and is among the top 20 most dangerous overall out of West Sussex's 161 towns, villages, and cities. The overall crime rate in Crawley in 2021 was 93 crimes per 1,000 people. This compares poorly to West Sussex's overall crime rate, coming in 35% higher than the West Sussex rate of 60 per 1,000 residents. For England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as a whole, Crawley is the 44th most dangerous major town, and the 704th most dangerous location out of all towns, cities, and villages.

Northumbria is a police area. It's made up of several different areas. I think you have just swallowed police figures and nothing else. It doesn't mean they are bad areas to live. It's the same as London good and bad areas. Some places are lovely but then there are other areas you wouldn't chose to walk as a lone female. Nx
Agree. The "areas" are Metropolitan or County Police areas and the crime figures are lumped together rather than sub-divided into, say, urban and rural areas. It was rather funny to see a photograph of Heptonstall representing West Yorkshire. This is a hilltop village and the major crime here was the "Coiners" in the late 18th century!!
Born and raised in Teesside good old Thornaby in between Stockton and Middlesbrough. I wouldn't class it as dangerous when growing up at all. I uprooted and moved 270 miles away because of the no job situation, my heart is here because I met the love of my life and my children where born here but my roots are up there. I don't go back anymore since my parents and baby sister passed. I think anywhere can be dangerous but I have never felt unsafe ever.
middle class drug users are not the issue in London, everyone I know has been robbed in London at least once, the perpetrators had one thing in common.
Lived in London all my life. Never been robbed but that’s probably down to my build and always being aware of my surroundings. I will add that there are certain crimes that were unheard of a decade ago in London and crimes that were rare. If you look at the victims of stabbings in London and their perpetrators you will see a certain pattern which I suspect is similar to perpetrators of robberies.
The perpetrators are the higher structured manupulation community who let's lower class kill each other for allowing the media to influence their young middle class children. You will be over run if you don't change your ignorant bigot mentality who was passed down from your small minded parents. This is one of the reasons that drives us to stay and fight to own your assets. Without this hate you wouldn't of created such monsters. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation 👍
I don't buy the idea that the north is more dangerous, I've lived in a number of places in England Inc West Yorkshire and Cleveland yet never felt more unsafe then I did in Plymouth in Devon where I used to see crime or unpleasant incidents almost everyday, drugs, Street fights etc I was the victim of two unprovoked attacks in Plymouth something I've never been in west yorkshire o r Cleveland
You may have been lucky. What the narrator doesn't mention is that there is a strong correlation between crime and unemployment. An informed guess would suggest that unemployment is significantly higher in the north than in the south.
I agree London and the south east is generally prosperous but parts of Devon and especially so Cornwall have some of the most deprived estates in England, I worked on refuse collection in Plymouth and in a fair few estates, would see drug needles etc dumped on the pavement or Street fights pretty much every day, I currently live near Leeds and there is certainly more money and investment being put into Leeds city centre then there was in Plymouth or Torquay for example, yes Leeds has its bad estates with just as much issues as I saw in Devon but don't think it's fair to say it's a solely north / south divide, this is not a dig at the place , I've had some brilliant family holidays in Cornwall , it's just stating a fact,

The statistics can be interpreted positively as well! The worst places are between 8% and 10% of the population affected. This means 90% are not! A bit misleading in some cases. If you were to remove just one or two town's figures from each region you might get a different picture. I live in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary area. Take out just Plymouth's crime statistics and the overall figures for the region would look much different.
I have never had any problems living in the North and witnessed very few problems here in grt Manchester. They just use the north as a dumping ground.,mainly with high intake of Asians.
This is a really flawed way of doing it. I have lived in many parts of the country (Liverpool, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Bristol and Northamptonshire) and now live in Kent and by far it feels the most safest place I have lived . Even ithe more deprived areas is nowhere near as dangerous as Liverpool. To group London as a whole is just silly as it varies depending on area so much. I have watched the worst places to live in England which is fairly accurate although Rotherham and Grimsby are not included which should be, but on the whole is right. This is way off though as probably most of the most dangerous places in England are in London
I'm confused by his comment on it really. Talks about Durham AND county Durham. County Durham includes Hartlepool, Stockton and quite a few other towns, so maybe it includes that data? Actual Durham I can't see having such high statistics of crimes. But then he also references Cleveland, and it wouldn't surprise me if that also includes Hartlepool and Stockton as I'm sure Cleveland Police also polices in that area. Absolutely horrid video either way. Not clear at all.

Counties is as good a way to compare data as any other
Ohhh
Northumbria has never been a county; these are all police force areas, but the same reasoning applies.
What makes you think counties in the UK are huge ? There are farms in Australia as large as counties in the UK.
Exactly places like keighley have a crime rate of 135 whilst ilkley which is in the next valley over has a crime rate of 56

1/10 for effort. Northumbria was, as you say, everything north of the Humber. Check your history before correcting others. Northumberland is a county, pure and simple.
There are boroughs in London you would not walk into, in Birmingham and other midlands and southern cities. Your survey is flawed. You need to visit more areas

Tell us more.

You keep on missing out Birmingham, particularly in reference to Alum Rock and the lovely sign that appeared there a few years back basically stating "No White's on the streets past 10pm"
You serious?I used to know somebody who lived,if that's the right description,in Alum Rock.Horrible place. But then,I am a country girl.
@@susanmccormick6022 yes I'm being deadly serious I was born in Birmingham, left for the country when I was around 10 years old. I have friends /colleagues who unfortunately live there and are trying to escape.

Love how the video about 10 places not too live in England dose not have comments enabled.
Guess you don't want to know what people want to comment about the video.
Northumberland is beautiful ❤️🥰
What is this based on, in terms of location? Counties? Humberside and Cleveland don't exist as counties anymore.
Since when? Cleveland is a county, I live in it.
@@Deleted11100 Since 1996. The short lived County of Cleveland was established in 1974 together with the new Metropolitan Counties such as Tyne & Wear and Merseyside. Much disliked as a county by residents it was abolished in 1996, with lands to the south of the River Tees restored to (North) Yorkshire and those north of the river to County Durham.
Surely the right answer depends on the colour of your skin .
Loads of pictures of Southport when talking about Lancashire. Southport isn't in Lancashire.
Southport will always be lancashire.

This is a disgusting depiction of the most dangerous places to live in England. Not only is ‘places’ so vague (use cities instead) but it’s not even true. The fact it ends with the higher north you go the more dangerous it gets, let me guess, a Tory commentated this?

Birmingham is a racist segregated city rough place too go to areas and see how divided people are very voilent city . Areas are segregated by race even the English segregated and you have loads of racist people and areas which are hostile.

This list is ridiculous, it needs to be more specific on certain areas and not huge counties
Manchester has to be up there, EVERY day I get news flashes of YET MORE serious crimes ALWAYS Manchester. I guess the best view of THAT awful place is in your rear view mirror.
Birmingham is not on the list because it is moving ahead of rest of the country, firms from London are moving to Birmingham, many new tall buildings, new train stations as well as high speed trains to London. Multicultural society, world class shopping centres, lovely parks, friendly people.Lots of restaurants to eat out, Commonwealth games 2022, it is all happening in Birmingham.
But people are still getting shot left right and centre

You say multicultural like that's a good thing
You seem to pick huge areas, surely you could get more local than that.
Hello, cats lover
The statistics can be interpreted positively as well! The worst places are between 8% and 10% of the population affected. This means 90% are not! Same as Covid, where the statistics show that that even in the worst countries of the world regarding infections, is less than 5%, therefore 95% not! In any event, The Narrator has done his homework and is only as good as the statistics available to him. Most Commenters on this video are complaining that it isn't what they want to hear, with only opinions and feelings to back up what they claim.
You mention Preston Lancashire and show a video of somewhere nowhere near Preston!, get your arse sorted!!!!
Whole world is a dangerous place.
I’ve lived in Lambeth or Westminster all of my life. Two of the most crime ridden boroughs on the country, how did I get to the age of 60 without getting mugged?Maybe London isn’t as dangerous as they would have you believe!
@Joe mamma
What are you talking about?
If you are going to use counties like Lancashire, Yorkshire etc, come on this covers huge chunks of areas in England of course it will look bad, don’t forget cross county lines. How can you cover single areas like Greater Manchester and those areas when, you have also put them in Lancashire, please make your mind up!
Hi...how are you doing today, hope you're good and family okay too and how's the pandemic over there weather
This is bollox I live in Lancashire and feel perfectly safe always
Shout from Lancashire
@@leeandrew1754 They use silly boundaries really. Lancashire is a big county, there are safe places and dangerous places.
Likewise, small village in Lancashire on the edge of Blackburn. Only real crime is the amount of dog shit on the canal
I live in Pendle, Lancashire....the main crime here is drug-related.
Pretty much all the issues in Lancashire are in the largest places. Most notably Blackpool, Preston and Blackburn. Ive heard theres also some trouble in parts of East Lancs although i dont know it well.
OMG 😲😱

Conflates Northumbria with Northumberland.
Yes, Northumbria Police includes Tyne and Wear. It's not really made clear that these are all police force areas.
@@ChrisBrown-px1oy Yes, it stretches down to the Humber hence the name meaning North of the Humber.
Please tell my why safe places are Stratford Gloucester, Kingston on Thames, henley Colchester, sandbanks?
They are money areas..big detached gated houses..they don't need to commit crime to survive!🙄
Not Colchester..but..Ascot.. the Cotswolds..Oxford. .parts of Berkshire..Suffolk and North Norfolk are all safe places to live!🦆
Kent located in south east England
You got Northumbria confused with Northumberland which is the county. Northumbria is the historical kingdom
What a load of Rubbish, there’s places I have worked that are 10 times worse than any on here 🤭
Every one stop go and live in India
This would be interesting if it were done by city and by area within a city. I come from West Yorkshire and there’s some lovely parts of West Yorkshire. I come from Leeds which could generally be considered dangerous. However, there’s then areas in Leeds which I’m quite sure would make Mexico look safe.
What's with this obsession of you 1st world, comfortable living people genuinely thinking they have it harder than 3rd world war zones 🤣🤣
@@harrisr1018 you’ve obviously never been to Leeds. Try walking through Gipton, Hilton Moor or Chappletown at night. Good luck.

My family moved to Yorkshire . I've visited many times now. Not seen anywhere that's not a shit hole .
The only place i am willing to live in the UK is Devon and Cornwall.
Everywhere else is as shit or worce than the Midlands where I grew up.

Cleveland boasts a high proportion of arsonists. Having briefly visited the area, I understand the overwhelming urge to set fire to it.
Hahahahaha I'm from boro luv that comment
A bit misleading in some cases. If you were to remove just one or two town's figures from each region you might get a different picture. I live in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary area. Take out just Plymouth's crime statistics and the overall figures for the region would look much different.
Better or worse if Plymouth's numbers are taken out?
Isn't it strange that cops resign before they are sacked....so they can keep their pensions, why?
I have never had any problems living in the North and witnessed very few problems here in grt Manchester.
They just use the north as a dumping ground.,mainly with high intake of Asians.
Thank you for outing yourself.
Birmingham: How the fuck I am so lucky to be excluded from top 10
Shocked by Durham. Lived there for about a year if 20 years ago. Felt safe always. Of course, I wasn't out much at night.
Durham isn't bad at all
Where I live its sh#thole , around only old people , dog's crap and chavs- all on benefits ! London are bright ,beautiful city with hard working people
This list is bollocks it's so wrong, I lived in Birmingham for 40 years and now reside in Durham / Cleveland . Birmingham , Wolverhampton, in fact hole of West Midlands is by far scarier than the hole of cleveland and Durham together but it wasn't on this list list .
Maybe ought to add preston to that. 7 of us rent a flat on fylde road as we all work away on a local infrastructure project and are regularly entertained by the local denizens of the night in the early hours of the morning. Only two weeks ago we were woken up by a gang of crack heads fighting among themselves with one chasing the others down the street with a samurai sword screaming I'm gonna chop your fu!#ing heads off. This carried on for over 10 minutes up & down the street but the boys in blue never made an appearance.
Most entertaining.
