Well Praia is known for some places where you should not walk in the dark. And even in Mindelo, it is not always safe, according some travel websites. But isn't this the case almost everywhere?
I definitely agree, all the cities in the world have some dangerous areas that we should avoid.
@@travelwithdante Hey Dante... I would not use the words "to avoid" There are good people in troubled places too.
But visit those places without bank or creditcards or too much cash money.
Like you would do on every place on earth that you do not trust. Nevertheless, you will meet the most good people there too!
I might have used the wrong word, of course i have visited dangerous areas either bad reputation and eventually i ended up meeting the nicest and friendliest people, as you said you just gotta be careful with your belongings and take something that will not affect you in case if you lost it.
I would feel much safer in curacao or Cape Verde walking at night or during the day then every European city even Oslo is uncomfortable

I have never been in Curacao but I have been ( je kunt ook Nederlands spreken met mij)...
And yes I have been in Mindello. I loved it there, but still I got pickpocketed on my second day there.
But it is not all my opinions... but websites i checked, before I went on holiday there.
And yes I wanted to emigrate to there. The best weather for my conditions... for the entire years. And i felt in love with Cabo Verde, but I never came to the green Island...

Angola and Mozambique have been always on my list, i will definitely visit one day soon to make videos and experience the culture and food there.

I would suggest taking Euros or Dollars and change there! There are plenty of places to change your money in Praia.

Some places are safe and some are not advisable to go to as any country in the world.

5:32 u got robbed my guy.
U grabbed 2 pieces, one is 10 cent and the other is 20, so u had to pay 30 but she charged u 60 lol, the craziest part is that her friend said 30 cent should be the total and the other girl said “no its 60 cent”
Her friend with the pink shirt is a good one but the other lady is a thief. Even though its 30 cent tho, but its not about the money its about taking advantage of people, i hate that!!!

I was aware of that as her friend told me different price, that was the reason i didnt left any tips for her. It’s obvious in many countries some people will take advantage of foreigners and some are honest.

@@travelwithdanteWell the foreigners done came to America with the same energy lol. Had to stop eating at this one spot when we started getting charged 5$ extra than what we use to.
My friedn i am sorry to inform you that you were overcharged for the torresma (Pork that you did eat). As you can see, initially they told you 0.10$ 0.20$ and 0.30$. You did eat 1 of 0.10$ and 1 of 0.20$. But they said total is 0.60$. You must be very attentive. Thank for you video promoting Cape Verde. Thank you very much.
I was aware of that as the girl on the left was honest unlike the other one thats the reason i didnt leave any tips for them, other than that Cape Verde was amazing 😊

Im just back last night , i can definatly say all cape verde people are extremely hard workers, the men farm, fish, build.
In Africa, markets are usually ran by women. Its less likely a lazy thing but more so a cultural, gender-role thing
