Hi
I would like to start by saying that when I started this video, I was planning to resolve two issues in the same video; but later I have realized that the issue with the door controls would make on its own a video long enough...
So, at the start, there is perhaps not so interesting stuff, even though we started to diagnose the door problem...
If you don't want to go through all of it, jump to minute 15:40... just to mention, that before that I went through the scan and live data that helped to guide me in the right direction.
That said, this car came to me with the driver door controls inoperational... not a single button would work!
Follow me on this video to find out what was the cause and how I got it resolved!
Hope you enjoy the video.
Any comments or questions please put them below.
Like always, thank you for watching!
Enjoyed watching your video and chasing the fault. Have to watch more of your videos. Thank you. Cheers, Garry.

This video was a TREMENDOUS help. I believe I have the same issue with my 2010 E350. None of the controls in my passenger door work, but I can control everything with my bi-directional OBD2 scanner.
Thanks for being so meticulous!!
😊
Thank you for watching...
Hope you get yours sorted!

Hi Luiz, another great video mate, looking forward for the fibre optic system with the radio ... cheers 👍

Hi
Thank you for watching and for your comment, really appreciated!
Radio has tuner built in the amp located in the trunk and it will not work until you connect everything back together (including fiberoptic leads) . The dead screen of radio indicating open FO loop.
Correct...
If you follow the channel, soo you see that and much much more...
☺️

getting familiar with electric diagrams really helps to understand module connections 🙂.

Submodules connect to modules which conect to another modules that go to module that ends to another modules... Actually it's not that difficult when logic aplied. By elimination you isolate the problem in this case, as in many cases. That's what diagnostician's job is, right?
Thank you for another great module, I mean video ;)
That's right, but always that simple... lol
Thank you for watching!
yep, its a network of modules on a local area bus called CAN-Bus
Fantastic 👏🔬🔦

Hi
Thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for your a nice video but could you tell me after the replace module do you need to programing and autel diagnostics suppored programing? Or should be use to online programing? Thanks
Hi
This was just the buttons module... no programming is required...
Thank you for watching!
Super sir

Cool, I'm DIY'r and sometimes need help when I mess up, like last week when I messed up a EDC17, sorted now, but took me longer than I want to admit here, but it's videos like yours and other great creators that give the confidence to take on more complex tasks.
No worries....
Thank you

Sir everything what seen in video the same problem is in my car everything is working in right side switch the both rear window is not working both the side please tell me a reason of a audio system and power windows how to solve this problem
Difficult to tell...
Have you scanned the car, and looked at live data to try to understand what is going on?
Thank you for watching!
Can you do a removal of the seat adjustment switch on the W221?
🤔
When get one here I can...😉
Thank you for watching!
I have 03 MB S55 passenger side completely not working door, window ,mirror, seat but door lock still working..im using Autel maxsys 908p with 3 doors(driver side, and both rear doors )they are communication with scanner except passenger door (the device unable communication with module) pls help
Check communications st the module... if communications are there, power and grounds, then perhaps you have a bad module...
👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs Thank you for feed back…btw can you show me where is communication module locate
Thanks
Irrelevant for now...
What I meant is, on the door module, check that you have communications... scope the communication lines...
Then, check that there is power and grounds at the module...
If everything is there, then there is a good chance that the module is bad...
If any is missing, you need to trace it back...
Hope it makes sense...
Thank you for the info.. let you know when it done.
Hello could you kindly assist me fix the issue with my 2012 Audi A5 2.0T? My car is misfiring and throwing codes P0300, P0301, P0302, P2279, P0506.. I don't even know where to start. Please help me, any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Jun Hong
Start by tracing the P2279... most likely is causing all the other codes...
Hope that helps.
Thank you for watching!
Its Crazy How The W221 S Class Was Available Overseas In 2006 But Officially Came To The US In 2007 Just Like The Infiniti M35/M45 Came To The US In 2006 But It Was Originally In Production Across Seas In 2004
I was not even aware of that... lol
Thank you for sharing that info, and for watching the video!
Hi Mark how much you charged for this repair and what is the cost difference between dealership and you for repairs
I can't remember how much I have charged... but I am sure I have charged way less than the dealer...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Air suspension the shocks all read red figures in live data. The suspension lowered rear right and then left to match it. rear level sensor says 121mm regardless of if its dropped or not.
Where would you be thinking to start in trying to fix this. Clearly not all sensors failed same time. So unless power feed to all sensors is reduced and they do share the same feed, then I would be thinking module faulty. Await your thoughts.
Your thought makes sense... sounds like one comom issue causing that...
But you need to do your own checks... check diagrams to see what all the sensors have in common etc...
👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs no wiring diagrams on workshopdata for this. My autel ultra in special functions will allow ECU to be swapped if need be. Only got to find it. Cheers 🥂
Is that the same model as the one on this video, the W221?
If it is, I believe the module is on the passenger footwell under the carpet...
@@LMAutoRepairs yep its w221 year 2007.
Half an idea to remove lines to wheels and fit tyre valves to them. Fill the shocks from air line and monitor by tape measure above tyres so they all same. Then pulling airmatic fuse and be done with it. Half a mind. We shall see. Cheaper alternative.

Hi Luiz, tried calling your mobile but its out of action, I've a similar car to this, I can only operatethe passenger window from driver controls but noot the driver window nor the rear windows, also the lock pin on driver door isn't controllable by any central locking buttons, what do you suggest please?
Calling my number?
Anyway... scan the car and look at live data...
Thank you for watching!
@@LMAutoRepairs thanks for replying, the scanning displays: 2.9042
No CAN message was received from Control Unit N69/2 (Right Front Door Control Unit), bit I'm confused because all other buttoms work on that door?
No more to add?
Modules can fail in many different ways...
Check all powers and grounds... etc...
There is no magic ways for fixing things... testing is always the way...
Hi i got the same problem the windows stopped working in a sudden one after another. Only got the driver side still working? What’s your advice?
Hi
Scan the car and go from there...
Thank you for watching!
You should look into the optic fibre cable next time to see if it works
Yes... the amp was busted... but the owner did not wanted me to look into it...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@@LMAutoRepairs it was a joke...if you look into a optic fire cable you may go blind....
@@srm113k
That's another joke...
@@LMAutoRepairs haha well next time you have an optic fibre cable that is live, you look inside it and then tell me if it was a joke or not...your retina will blow up. it is essentially a laser and can damage your vision or send you blind permanently...look up the safety of optic fibre
@RedTigars
Well... I can still read your messages... and looked at optics many times... so...
Hold on... I am super hero!
I can look at optic fiber cable light and survive without damage my sight!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Appreciate your advice... but don't think optics on a car are that powerful...
👍
My own right side window is not normalization
Hi would you repair excavator electrics ?
Electrics are electrics...
😊

Hi Remove the the leds that are not working then try the module 😉 👍

I know... the sound processor unit that I show in the boot, was from an E class... when I told the guy the price even for a second hand one, he just took the car back... go figure...

Thanks...
I can see you are going through some of my videos... hope you like them!

Hi Great video. I have same issue, the driver window only wouldn't go down, seems to be the door control module. My original unit number is A003 820 7926. I cannot buy exactly the same, can I buy any control unit for front driver side of mercedes w221 between 2005 - 2009 or do I need to find exactly the same number? On my launch diagnostic it shows window not normalized now. I hope to be able to reprogram the new one if it is different number would that be possible?
Many thanks, amazing video!
Possibly... it is normal for part numbers to change throughout the years... you need to check it... even if you need to ring the dealer and kindly ask...

Hi can i start by say love the videos i want to no if i can contact you via watts app or something like that i have a problem with my door controlls on my mercedes may thanks jimmy
You just contacted me here now...
😊
👍👍👍
Ridiculously over-complicated; how much is a new door control module?
Hi
I am not sure about the module, I have only replaced the switches assembly...
Second hand, around £70 or so...
Thank you for watching!
And you have the part number right there. I'm done
I found the right module for the car... no worries...
Looks like car been in a flood
the benz are built to have rain leaks (rear lights or roof discharge piping) into trunk that will slowly rust expensive trunk modules during rainy season: Rear -SAM etc....
And plus you don't have a MERCEDES Benz programmer not ob2 reader programmer two differences
The MaxiSys MS908P does programming and flashing on Mercedes... just Google it...
Also, you probably don't follow my channel, otherwise you would know I have a star system.... but have not used it on this video...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Hahahaha hello
Hello!
👍
Who ever sold you that car basically took you for a ride and sold you a lemon wooooooow
No one sold me this car... the car was not mine...
Thank you for watching!
.....And after all this, and wasted time you charge the car owner 30 pounds :-}
Lol
If you didn't design the car and completely don't know anything don't mess with it until you've read about simple
I don't need to... I learn a lot as I go along...
Ah... and fix things...
Are seriously ok with that and how to shop for cars, man dude you got ripped off and mainly there's no trunk interior at all
As I said... this was not my car...
Really brother good job.
Enjoyed the video and learn a lot.
Thanks!
