Mercedes W221 from 2006 to 2013. The original was a 7" analogue display with a resolution of only 800*480 pixels. Most of them are now sold as Mercedes w221 android 10.25 screen, Now you can upgrade it to a android 11 (6+128) 12.3" display and juxtapose it with your gauges as a dual screen style.
The installation of w221 android screen 12.3 is a bit longer and a bit more challenging, so you can give it a go if you're not afraid of the hassle.After install, You will get CarPlay and Android auto on the new Mercedes w221 andorid screen.
Cautions.
1. 2006-2009 NTG3.0, if the original car does not have AUX, you can activate it using the activation menu inside the YeeHung product. Otherwise you will not get the Android sound. For the display section you need to select item 22, OEM Display, within the factory settings.
2. 2010-2013 NTG3.5 has AUX menu, you can use it directly to get Android sound, for the display part you need to select item 20 in the factory settings for OEM Display.
3. After installation, the button pad on the left side of the original screen was removed and its function was moved inside the display, you need to open this touch key within the settings at
Settings-Factory Settings-Onboard Configuration-Control Panel (select 3.0 or 3.5 depending on the original system)

Honestly this is a pretty good thing if you intend to keep your car forever. The added functionality of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto updates the car to modern standards. Personally I would do it if the cover on the dash was leather wrapped. I would personally not run the gps and wireless cables in the dash. They make an adapter cable to use the OEM GPS antenna. The wireless antenna could be kept behind the dash. I see folks talking about value. You can see an early w221(Personally the one I would get before they put the crappy twin turbo m278/m157 engines in them) for under $4k dollars now. The maintaining the value of the car argument is trash at best. An S-Class isn't appreciating anytime in our lifetime. I have a CL600 and I have the smaller 10.25 inch android screen with the OEM setup for the instrument cluster. It is a well needed update and I would never install the factory setup in my car again. You have all the factory things and you have connectivity that is seemless such as music streaming. I have wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay with mine and it is the go to for me. It has made the experience of the driving the car even more enjoyable. Especially long distances.
Agree 100 % , the cover on the dash should be leather wrapped
or at least of better quality , rhere is to much differnce whit the top class plastic all around the rest of the dash
any way this upgradre seems to be very well enginered

The reason I would buy a 10 year old S-class is for the comfort and style, can't see the need for this upgrade and I would prefer original. Must say it looks good though for beeing aftermarket.

You can get an upgrade just for the audio system with out lose the original style. But with a leather wrapped the rear plastic and adding a stitching string, it will look fantastic

Good video but for a Mercedes S Class there are several failures such as the tachometer needle positioned incorrectly, also the installation of the wiring could be more orderly, not all that wiring on the right side of the dashboard but a little more and the cover does not close, not to mention That cable that comes out of the door frame, I don't know where it goes.

What is happening with the rpm meter? It is not functioning at all.
I am an owner of that kind of vehicle and I think that new dashboard looks cheaper than the old one (of course that is only my opinion).
You are very meticulous, yes. In the process of installation. The car is off state . The RPM meter indicates 0 state .
You are right, the new dash cover must not be as good quality as the OEM one. Because it is not wrapped with leather material on the outside. It is a black plastic.
We're going to leave the display fully exposed and it might look a little younger.
I mean the arrow of rpm meter is in horizontal position, it's not showing 0 or else, look at it, it's not functioning correctly.

@@hristog82 The OME gauge on this car was removed repeatedly and it didn't fit back into the correct position after the needle fell off. Yes, I had to put it back to the 0 position. You reminded me very well! Thank you.
@@pempcar you are lying, the "needle" is digital, there is nothing you can move. Its programmed wrong, fit for another kind of rpm meter.

It looks very good almost like OEM. However, the exposed wire 35:57 does not give it clean install. It looks tacky and can be done better not to expose wire and give it a clean OEM install.

Seems that you have issue with the RPM's and had one of those om my C43 AMG and glare/reflection was terrible. Screen was extremely hot after 15 of use and graphics when using my 360 cameras when reversing was terrible. Cost me $180 to return it back to China and did not get a full refund. So folks be careful.

How come ABS ESP all other caution lights are come ON? What to do with that.
Please don't worry, installing YEEHUNG DUAL style Android screen will not cause fault codes. Because this car in the video has ABS ESP fault code before installation.

When you remove the buttons for the height adjust suspension settings, how will you raise the car, adjust comfort or sport ride & turn off/on parktronic parking sensors?

You are correct, as this car was our test car for the install. Repeatedly removing it, the tach needle has fallen out and I need to install it back in again.
Warning sign na I’m good that’s why I went with Navtool keep my original equipment and the everything works as it should going on year 3 with it no issue.

You are very careful, and that is because before the installation. The tachometer needle has come off. It needs to be fitted back in.

It is clear that the worker is inaccurate in his work and does not care about the dust on the instrument screen. Also, the paint is peeling in the instrument box from the back, the wires were not wrapped with a thermal protector, and the wire harness was not placed.

While I can appreciate the idea behind it, I would never do that to my car.
This looks just so inferior with that thin cheap dash cover, the upright angularity of the new screen, lose cables, free to rattle around, visible cable for the GPS...
The S- class and especially the W221 is in itself an expression of style and genuine engineering and craftsmanship, developed and inherited thru generations of some of the finest cars, roaming the highways and alleys of this planet. Any attempt of modernisation and/ or upgrade should bear that in mind and be planned and executed with the same keen focus on detail, style and quality, which are the hallmarks of this car.
The shown example unfortunately is not of those qualities.
I would very much like to see you developing an upgrade, which reflects the forementioned qualities and upgrades the same functions, as the one, shown in this video, but without the horrific violation of the cars interior esthetics.

2. You must choose the correct LVDS box (NTG 3.0 or NTG 3.5) based on the car

Yes, because it had this fault appearing before the installation. Installing Dual Screen does not cause these faults.
@@pempcar i know the faults either related to simply tyre pressure and then from steering clearing the run flat indicator. Or the wheel speed sensor or output transmission speed sensor.
You should have used photoshop
And removed the fault from the video at very least.

In order to make it easier for the driver to see the display screen. The display is tilted back 15 degrees.
Angle must be what is easy to read. Reflections you normally have a covering housing for... up until recently.
You won't notice these reflections for long. Maybe in 5 mins your brain will ignore and vanish it

The original dash cover can no longer be used because it affects the 12.3" viewing range. It also affects the insertion of the SIM card.
It would be much nicer if the original dash cover can be used , not 100% convinced of how this one looks
@@GoldenSte I agree with your point of view. At the time of design, the following 3 aspects were considered.
1. the height between the original dash cover and the dashboard could not accommodate a 12.3" screen.
2. The new Mercedes and BMW are more prominent display. The style will be a little more youthful.
3. After changing the dash cover, the driver's seat has a wider view.
