I would love to see alternate uniforms for football but im sure the ppl that make those decisions will probably decline it because of the ppl that scream "tradition". Just imagine the team coming out in all navy uniforms with navy hemlets.
Nike is a monster company. Huge market share and ubiquitous products world wide. The problem is their human rights record, specifically in Asia, and history of profit over humanity corporate mind set. But, if that doesn’t matter to you then this is a great move for Auburn athletics. My opinion, and as of this morning I was still entitled to it.
Do you feel the same about gold, silver, diamonds, oil, and other resources or companies that enslave people for monetary gain. I think it’s odd when people boycott Nike then buy their wives a diamond ring or put gas in their vehicles.
Personally, I don't like Nike the company, but I am excited that we should be getting a better selection of Auburn shirts and stuff. From what I've read, quite a few Auburn athletes did not like Under Armor shoes. I'm happy for the athletes. That is what really matters. I would love, love, love for alternate uniforms. Navy blue pants, even blue helmets with AU in orange. I don't believe that whoever makes that decision will ok it though. War Eagle!
Kids are literally spending thousands of dollars on a t shirt with some logo on it. Boomers are lying to themselves if they think kids don’t care about brands
"Boomers," lol. Yep, that's gotta be a strictly boomer take. That itself is more of a woke, 🤡 take than any 'lie' boomers are operating under with regard to Nike. There are people across the generational spectrum who think the kids don't care. Of course, they care about Nike! I'm a boomer who raised 5 kids. I know what kids like. WE know. Thanks. 🫡
I am thrilled with the Nike deal. I am of the opinion that a football jersey should last for quite a few years before the numbers start wearing off. Under Armour jerseys have always let me down in that regard. However, my UCF jersey, made by Nike is going strong AND it is more comfortable and has a more athletic fit than my latest Auburn jersey. Good riddance, Under Armour.
I love Nike shoes and clothes and I’m not woke at all. I can separate the two. Even when the nba painted Black Lives Matter on the courts I still watched every minute because I love the nba playoffs. Same with the nfl.
Sick of all the old heads who keep pushing back on alternative uniforms due to "tradition". If the kids and coaches want to do it, what does it hurt? UGA is tradition rich and they whooped our asses in those black uniforms.

Well said this is 2024 in Alabama it’s like people don’t want to change anything
It means multiple national titles in every sport for years to come. Oh wait it has nothing to do with that. People are sure acting like it though
😆

You are always entitled to your opinion. I hope no one is saying otherwise

100% up for alt uniforms if that’s what the players want to do.

Getting keandre Lambert would take the sting out of the Alvin Henderson commitment
I am thrilled with the Nike deal.

More concerned with wins other than who is uniform provider
I think everyone is most concerned with wins, but uniforms are part of the business of sports.
I'm sad that Nike is involved with Auburn. Don't need woke

@@jakepadgett5569 the woke is tearing the fabric of the United States apart. Can't support companies who is doing this to this country.
UA is woke too, as much as I love it. All big companies are woke.
