PC mods
Mod limitations on console
Volumetric lighting

Game stability & bugs
Transfering old saves
And a whole bunch of other stuff!
Hey! I want to say quick thanks for the support in regards to Skyrim SE on my channel, and also want to apologies for not being balanced and across the board objective in previous videos.
I'm pumped for Skyrim SE and the excitement created a bias.
However, in this video I bring to you all of the information, facts, knowledge and need to know answers in regards to Skyrim SE.
From this, you can come to your own conclusion as to whether or not Skyrim Special Edition is worth it FOR YOU.
So, I hope this video sheds a whole lot of light on some of the mysteries of Skyrim Special Edition!
If it's not worth it for you, all good. If it is worth it for you, I hope you enjoy it immeasurably!
For those who enjoy it, I'll see you soon, in the next video :)
this is the earliest ive ever went on one of ur vids, love your channel by the way ive been watching ever since 2011-2012 when skyrim came out
You can create dragon armour in vanilla. You don't need Hearthfire. :)
Dragon bone weapons is what i said :)
MegaDuckmonster Rekt
Camelworks I love your voice
No one will *ever* have 16,000,000,000 GB of RAM, people in 2531 are laughing at us.
We'll see...
Nikola B K
Blaze T No we won't because we'll all be dead by then.Lmao!
people won't play skyrim in 2531 with 16 billion GB of RAM
I don't even think having 16billion gb of ram is even physically possible.
People will spend $15 for a 2 hour movie but won't spend $60 for a 100+ hour game
Jed Curlin fuck logic though am I right?
Jed Curlin Idk what you're talking about, because everyone here is buying it
I don't understand why people still think using money on a game in 2016 is a waste. That's just simply not true. I'd easily spend $60 on Skyrim SE, luckily for me I get it free on PC though.
Rieiid ya i got legendary edition for $15 on G2A
true
Arrows unloading at a distance? That's why i couldn't hit anything far. God dammit
"Modding out skyrim special edition so much that it requires 16 billion Gigs of ram... That's never gonna happen."
Challenge accepted
I saw you today.
I saw you through your bedroom window
can I get some explanation lmao xD
Camelworks wutt
I saw both of you...from under your bed..... ;)
FudgeMuppet Suh!
"My modded Skyrim is better." If I re-edited every film I had ever seen to my personal liking, I too would prefer my edit every time. That doesn't mean The Godfather is an inept misfire.
Skyrim kept me entertained for 3 years straight and I took a year break so I don't burn out on it and I am sooooooooo excited for replaying everything and picking the game clean all over again :D
I also started playing on console and I have no problem spending 60 bucks on a game that has over 3000 hours of enjoyment for me, I also suggest it for everyone who play just for fun or play religiously
You are saying that 3 years did not burn you out?!?!?!??!
tha game is amazing, i have since 2016, I found new content recently. Amazing.
"84% of Skyrim sells were on Console."
That's because PC users got it for free.
That stat is for the original sales of Skyrim from 2011 - mid 2015. Not for Skyrim SE :)
Very well. If you said that I didn't hear it.
Still pisses me off that pc users get it for free. Why?
because there can mods on the pc. So getting improved graphics on the Special editions doesnt matter since pc already has hd mods.
and we dont get it for free , you already have to own the game and all the dlcs.
It's the same platform.
"After skyrim SE comes out"
Hey where did you graduate??
Me:the college of winterhold
Great idea, i'll put it on my cv for job application.
I wish I was still a skyrim virgin
Manuel Troncoso people in the future will never know what it was like booting this up in 2011.
Manuel Troncoso I remember the night I got skyrim (midnight release of course with 3 or 4 buddies) and when i first cast a spell i was so excited...ahh the nostalgia
science logic they will never know how long it took to load up solstheim
i wish skyrim nerds weren't all virgina
I just started my first playthrough, and my friend lended me his copy of SE.
Well, Here Goes Another 1000 Hours Of My Life
SuperPigGaming YT Yeah same here, I thought my 1564-hours was enough, but I guess not 😁
Greedo I know bro 😎
Worth it
ehhh 1000? you will go over 10000 this time with the unlimited ram support for mods dx11 etc :D
Of sitting on your fat, lazy ass doing nothing for the world
This is honestly just a great video, rarely do I ever feel the need to comment on someone's positive work, but this is great!
Thank you very much! I really do very much appreciate kind words like this :)
Camelworks Absolutely, I will be sure to hit the subscribe button my friend, thanks for the reply!
hey dude, please tell me that the video footage is from the special edition(pc)
i am getting home in 24 hours and can't wait to play such masterpiece.
Good seed analogy, I could see a lot of people getting confused at what you were talking about but that really brought things into focus.
I installed mine last night and admittedly wasn't blown away at first. Upon exiting the starting dungeon was really the eye opener. The lighting, shadows, trees, water and flora all smacked me in the face. It's so beautiful. The frame rate at 30 was very stable, which anyone who played the original on console will appreciate. And yes the load times were incredible when compared but to be fair, that may increase with the more mods you use.
I played the Xbox version while my son played the PS4 version, and we both had the same experience. This is a huge improvement from the last gen consoles.
When midnight hits... tell my parents I love them and say goodbye
Greedo I'm serious.
I have to wait until 7 pm. Eastern Time things.
TheGamingBosser if you're on steam you'll have a 10gb updste as soon as it is released, sorry about that. hopefully you have fast internet ^_^
i feel you haha
TheGamingBosser best comment ever
I've paid £32 on Amazon with free delivery . Worth every penny to me and it's gonna be my first time playing it aswell .
Trust me - it's some magical shit.
You'll thoroughly enjoy it
32$ is a good price . Skyrim has a shit ton of content
Trickened2ndChannel you mean British?
Delafranco Why are you jealous? That's how much the game costs on Amazon. It costs me that much too
Hey camel, I just wanted to say that your videos are always detailed and well thought out. Please continue the good work mate
Thank you very much mate! There is plenty more to come very soon :)
cleanest/shortest guide I've actually wanted to watch all the way through. Thanks for the vid.
I like how this legitimately answered a lot of questions. The internet doesn't usually do this
it may not have any new content but I can swear that every time I go exploring I always find something I didn't notice before
Finally a review of this game that isn't just excuse my launge but "sucking it's dick" and to top it off you showed gameplay and mods in game you sir have finally achieved what I have been looking for to truly understand this game and wether or not I want to buy it.
Glad I could help!
Goodbye friends, it's been real. I don't know when I'll see you next but worry not as I will be raining down justice on the Imperials
Youssef Metwaly HAIL TALOS
Ulfric, want to make skyrim great again, that sounds familiar ...
Death to the Stormcloaks
Alex Kok yeah side with the guys who try to kill you noice
Alex Kok coward. Your ancestors are rolling in thier grave.
Bill Gates: "640K of memory was more than anyone needed."
Camelworks: "No one is ever going to have a computer that has 16 billion gigabytes RAM"
I have never ever heard such poetry when it comes to explaning the key differences between x32 and x64.
Bravo!
16 BILLION GB? that is not possible, what sorcery be this?
Prince Nightsky Wishmaker It's a simply theoretical limit. With 16 bit applications from years ago, the limit was 64 kilobytes of RAM. As far as I understand, each bit increase in applications makes an exponential leap of an extremely high value.
BAD Ben Ah, thanks
Prince Nightsky Wishmaker Your welcome! However, I might be completely wrong and the Greybeard have learned to shout code ;)
BAD Ben that would be awesome o3o
BAD Ben It's probably calculated as 2^x (x is the bit, so 2^16 is 16 bit, 2^32 is 32 bit and so forth)
I think im just going to play normal Skyrim until all the 100+ mods i have installed are updated to Skyrim SE.
I'm doing exactly the opposite thing
AstralGaming99 Only 100+?
nukinonmalawn1 100+ can be 453846 mods
Skyrim ain't that good without at least 10 mods that fix shit.
Same, i really want that fallout 4 style looting menu. Can't play without it. And it relies of skyui and SKSE.
I also grudgingly want skyui... I don't want to like it but i do.
I really appreciated you addressing how one sided you were in your last video. Not many RUclipsr's actually take the time to address their criticism. Respect. :)
I really like your videos. Your articulation and expression is noticeably high and your style of presentation keeps me fully engaged. Keep up the good work. ...
God it wouldn't have been hard for them to include a marriageable khajit my cat had to live like a monk during my 100 hr game. He wasn't attracted to other races and be believed in the sanctity of marriage. Apparently that wasn't enough for Bethesda to allow my cat a happy fulfilled life. I'm sick to death of the racism against khajits not just from Bethesda but from the Internet. The abuse is very depressing and I'm sick of the fact they don't allow my kin to live in the cities. Ghettoised outside the cities. It's a truly disgusting treatment. This sort of prejudice sickens me I had hoped society had moved on by now
Please don't assume all khajits are like maiq. I think people see maiq and think we're all like that. We are not
What the fuck?
j0nnyism #FeelsBadMan
j0nnyism Skyrim is for the Nords
Pfft. Gloryfied domestic cats/pets is what you all are, don't ever think otherwise. You felines will never amount to anything....boy.
You did a great job Camel! I pre-ordered and for the last few months I couldn't wait. Thank you for all the great content. Now it's only one day away
thank you so much for this!!! I'm so tired of hearing "my modded skyrim is better... hurrr..."
next time I hear that i'll use your seed explanation :)
NightPanda And they'll use the "how many mods can you have?" Argument.
And the SKSE argument
And the argument that PCs are more powerful :)
Graal Otonami Yeah but that falls flat since Skyrim SE on pc can handle an exponential amount of mods compare to the original
Graal Otonami Also SKSE will come to this
Graal Otonami Did you even watch the video? what the fuck? People like you surprise me everyday...
Lewd HD SKSE is made by fans, it is not made by Bethesda so the chance of it coming to consoles is very slim
Practically limitless modding on PC? I'm not sure why any PC guy would willingly miss out on something like that.
their ego is too high to admit that Bethesda did something good.
NightPanda By all accounts, Skyrim's Creation engine is actually getting harder to mod with each version, combined with the games "streamlining", Bethesda don't leave the games too open for modding to make those mods blend well.
Look at the starsigns for skills, if you had tried to add the skills from Daggerfall, you'd have had a hard time.
Similarly, splitting skills up so that axes, swords and clubs had their own skills ends up filling the screen and overlapping them, not really an ideal thing.
The same goes for FO4's perk list, with the levelling system being restricted by that image, there are ways to extend it, but none of them blend well.
Or too ignorant and don't know or care about how game engines work, which i do. I'm on PC and is hyped for the modding possibilities.
I got this game for $10 on pc for getting legendary edition, so I am good.
FTR iRage I face palmed soo hard just omg
Absolutely loved the "night-out" comparison analogy. So true and puts things in perspective. Great video, thank you! I am a noob and loved Skyrim SE!
As a complete noob who only learned about Skyrim like a week ago this video was super informative without giving me any major spoilers. Thanks a lot man! You really helped me decide which version I'm gonna buy.
"Biased toward Skyrim," well at least you legitimately enjoy the game for what it is. Compare that to Morrowind elitists who are still complaining to this day and then there's people who complain about remasters who don't have to buy them if they don't want to in the first place. And I can't sit here and pretend Skyrim is a flawless game, or even argue that it's the best Elder Scrolls game (that's entirely subjective). But so many people have very fond memories from the past five years and lots of other people seem to find joy in just shitting all over things they like. I find this happens with Bethesda titles more often than other series. If it wasn't for Skyrim I would have never been exposed to Oblivion and Morrowind and found enjoyment in those titles as well. Personally I'm super pumped to pick this up tomorrow and jump back into Tamriel once again.
Love your videos, Camel. Great moves! Keep it up, proud of you.
11:50 YES! Just what I wanted to know.
I have played the original extensively but I still am going to play special edition just as long
I like your 60$ bar analogy, good way of looking at it
Best Review Video i've ever seen probably. Good job!
My body and PC are ready for my next mod binge.
Do you think ...(now be honest)... would it be worth buying/building a gaming pc to play this and fallout 4 ?
+CuriousHuman Just those two games? not really. The host of other cheap, excellent games that the PC also already has? Maybe, it really depends on your budget. My PC has only 4gb of VRam but that's enough for poorly optimised skyrim and a host of mods. The tier of PC you build or buy should reflect how often you use it.
ThatGuyMarkV
Yeah I'm in two minds to buy this or wait and build a pc next year and mod the heck out of it as I've been a playstation user since it came out. Kinda feel like we console users are missing out at times with certain games..this whole no mods(or limited) for ps4 has rattled my cage. I'd say bout €1k would be my limit on spending when the time comes. Once I have it I'm sure I'm sure Id start to find all the other games you speak off. Sound, thanks for the reply!
CuriousHuman my suggestion would be to wait a year, most of the best mods will be ported over, part prices will drop again, et cetera. Patience is a virtue when it comes to building a PC, especially as all you need is a GTX960, an i5 and 8GB of RAM to run most games brilliantly
+Graal Otonami ... those are my exact specs, and yes, they can run basically everything on high-medium.
Camel my friend, well i wish you were my friend, you have done it again, there are not words that explain your brilliance
Great vid, so glad someone out there actually mentioned how great it is that it's 64bit (this is why us modders have been tripping over ourselves to convert) when most videos say stuff like "it's just a graphical improvement". I love the seed/tree analogy, so many people don't understand why modders are converting to SSE in droves (has nothing to do with it just being 'new'), and that should help a lot understand it better.
You can never say never when it comes to advances in tech
5 minutes into watching this my copy arrived, I'd like to think this was Camel's doing
Hard to believe this version will be ppls first time in Skyrim, lucky fucks
Good video and I agree on almost all points.
Thanks Rebelzize !
***** :D
That section of you shouting into the Dwemer pile has finally sold me that moving to the Remaster once most of my favorite mods are in is probably a good idea. I seem to get a lot of very odd crashes with absolutely no idea how they happen, even with my lightest load order of around 150ish mods, so having the game be able to handle THAT MUCH should hopefully mean I'd be safe X3 Guess I'll find out in a few days at any rate!
AND there's been a ranged combat fix with the draw distance?!? HolyshitI'msold. Get over here sneaking attack spells, I got some gits to fry!
Taliesin Well yeah. I may try it out with the USLEEP SE patch by itself, but mostly I'll be waiting on mod updates/conversions/recreations. I can't really picture playing the game WITHOUT the Field Lab or recycling weapons I pick off gits with CCO right now.
My game crashed regularly even with a decent load order and my enbs/high res textures turned off, i think the longest i managed to play without crashing was around 2 hours which i thought was pretty impressive given that i had +100 mods running at the time but they were mostly just minor tweaks and gameplay overhaul for the vampires in skyrim. I'm getting it on ps4 though as my pc isnt decent enough to handle the newer version of skyrim, ill save it for when i feel like upgrading my pc though, maybe in 6 months to a year see how it goes.
If a good 100 of them weren't mostly fixes and features that really shoulda been thought about in the original game, well it wouldn't be that big now would it? :P In all seriousness I've not even touched some of the stuff yet, eithe rcus related to Solstiem, which I've never seen, or just content I've not dived into a lot of yet.
150 mods? I get crashes with 25... Then again that's what i get for trying to use NMM on anything but the C drive.
I gotta say, I wasn't originally that excited about this, but I've just been getting more and more stoked the more I've learned.
I didn't realize I'd have it in my steam library. but it's there.
Great vid, Camel, you deserved a sub)
took you 2mins to explain that your going to explain something...
I have to make exactly what's going on in the video very clear, otherwise people assume things and get salty as fuck
Camelworks understood. Great vid nonetheless my good sir
Camelworks ya that was a little much though if people are gonna be stupid and salty fuck them, don't gotta hurt the quality of your vid just cause of the SJW's.
salty fuckers
At least he had time to explain why he had time to explain.
I preordered the game as soon as I could. I'm so excited to play Skyrim again.
night out with the guys: 100 bucks
evrynight out in skyrim: 60 bucks
good life, good deal.
mad gratitude man, mad gratitude for the vid
Talos be praised!
Something should be noted about the PS4 version is with mods you are not able to have mods that use new assets, which, from what I can gather, really sucks for ps4 users cause it limits what mods can actually be used. That's why it has the 1GB limit.
Alex Fernandez Have you checked bethesda.net? Ps4 has like 15 mods and x1 has almost 100. Not to mention those so called "ps4 mods" are straight up bullshit. 10 ps4 mods are less than 1mb and the rest are ok. As an x1 owner I hope ps4 users get some good mods.
A slice of cheese I know man it sucks. I hope they get better mods too. But Sony has to be stingy with everything.
A slice of cheese I saw a few solid PS4 mods but yeah PS4 users are getting fucked over tbh. Right now the Xbox has 91 mods and the PS4 has 23.
Sony are a bunch of tight arsed inconsiderate cunts, if they don't sort us Bethesda fans with proper mod support I will be switching to Xbox in the next generation of consoles.
Alex Fernandez it will basically just be levelling mods and commands probably
im so pumped for the 64 bit engine
Skyrim was one of the first games I watched my dad play. Knowing that I'm only 12 that my dad was pretty fond of this game. Was the first game that I could sit and watch for hours without getting bored. I miss those days a lot. Now that I'm playing Skyrim on my own, I can gladly appreciate all the tips he has given me for this game.
Thankyou for doing this, gave me tons of the answers I was looking for =)
And luckily it finished downloading as I was watching this, so it's time I play =D
Time for a computer upgrade! Good thing I'm already 60 dollars ahead ;)
OMG EVEN ON LOW SETTINGS THE GAME LOOKS BETTER THAN THE OLD VERSION ON ULTRA!
But it runs like shit.
The Pope maybe without the minimum requirements. but with them it looks so great
LxcidPumpx no. But I think it depends on your specs. When the game came out my processor was failing. After upgrading it and my video card I could play on ultra no problem
@@SirEliteGrunt I'm excited for when i get my new gaming laptop and can switch to skyrim SE. just need to make a mod checklist ;)
Great summary, thank you. Looking forward to getting back to this on my PS4 Pro after abandoning it on PS3 3 years ago. Only played about 40 hours, a lot of which was spent learning skill trees and running off in all directions following side quests. Oh, and collecting everything; plates, spoons, rusty old weapons, etc. Before this game my only experience with RPGs in videogames was rocket-propelled grenades!
Finally, thank you for a concise review that covers all bases without any bullshit. I went through three other channels before this and they were just garbage.
Amazing video! Thank you so much for all the great info you put out :) can't wait for my game to arrive!
Awesome job with the video. I can remember how my Nvidia 485m could barely run this game. The farthest I got was the first town you're introduced to.
I thought SKSE would be available almost immediately because Bethesda made no changes to the script with the Special Edition.
16:43 Camel, now I want to see you play Skyrim on a TV from the 50's ;)
man I spend so much time playing this game,... and here we go again, more maybe 800h
Dam just having 64 bits is really Finna bring this game back alive all the way til elder scrolls 6
I will buy this game on steam during the Christmas sale for sure!
(I have my third semester exam the whole month of November)
The only thing i have to complain about in this video is the "84 percent of skyrim sales were on console". I am quite sure that this does not take steam sales into account, since skyrim has sold over 10 million copies on steam.
I think you misread the title of this article - goo.gl/vFy8f
"Skyrim is the fastest-selling Steam game ever, 10 million retail copies shipped".
Meaning, at the time of the article;
1. It's the fastest selling game on Steam.
2. AND in total of PS3(if it was out at the time), Xbox 360 and PC hard copies, Bethesda has shipped 10 million retail copies, meaning hard physical copies. It's also just shipped, not sold.
Steam and the 10 million retail copies have nothing to do with each other, and Steam also does not publish it's sale figures.
Hope that helped :)
You know i was refering to what you said in the video right? "84 percent of skyrim sales were on console". There is 23,27 million copies sold of skyrim(Non steam sales) based on data from statisticbrain(April, 2015). Here 14% of the copies was sold on pc. Adding up the 10,6 million copies sold on steam(data from steam spy). That means that there is over 13 million pc copies sold which aproximates to about 39%. I have been in this kinda discussion before. Just wanted to clear this out since i am quite a big skyrim pc fan :)
That is an interesting website! Do you know how accurate there stats are?
Even if my stats were to be wrong, which were from here ( goo.gl/MRylEl ) 14%, 39% 44%, 57% what ever the % is on PC; millions of players on console haven't had access to mods. Which they now do. That was the main point, not necessarily the specific percentage. Even if only 10% of players were on console. Skyrim SE brings mods to 2.7+ million people on console.
Its seems to be quite acurate.
Here is a citation from the "about" page on steamspy's website about its acuracy:
"For your convenience on every game page you can see a margin of error for this game converted to actual users. It will look this way: Owners: 7,000,000 ±200,000. Please, take this margin into consideration every time you're using Steam Spy's data."
In this case skyrim has 10,668,264 steam players with a margin of 82,221 users.
And just to sum this up, i am sorry that i kinda got caught up in this minor detail of the video. I am sadly the kinda person that gets caught up in minor details but really this was a much better video about skyrim SE than most other information videos. The fact that you brought up 64 bit is amazing(Almost no one i've watched has brought up that point which is the main reason i am getting back to Skyrim).
Calm down dude, it's just a game. It doesn't affect you cringelord.
*THE NEW SKYRIM IS ABOUT TO TURN INTO THE CITY OF ELDENROOT* #superseed
SilverAbsol Elder Scrolls VI: Valenwood confirmed.
Sean Freeman It'll be so lit. Not literally, of course, the forests would burn. Personally, I'm hoping for Summerset Isles, I just wanna join the Thalmor pls.
I just hope TES6 has vast and beautiful forests. In my opinion Skyrim failed in creating forests - even Falkreath, the biggest woodland region in Skyrim, can't stand against those vast and beautiful woodlands/forests in Oblivion. I remember looking up on Oblivion and couldn't even see the sky sometimes because the tree branches would cover the sky and you would see that beautiful sunlight during dawn or dusk through the woods. *PLEASE BETHESDA, READ THIS I JUST WROTE*
...
As for joining the Thalmor not really interested lol i wish i could join fornsworn, daedra or necromancer cults. I like to be a bad/dark character. As for cicil war sides i prefer the Stormcloacks.
Ghillie Dhu I just want to experience every aspect of Tamriel, in the sense of every viewpoint. I want to play an Orcish mage, cast out of the strongholds, an Altmeri Stormcloak sympathizer, etc.
On the topic of the civil war, I think, from a roleplay perspective, if you wish to keep it general and realistic, only Nords have any real reason to join them. While other races believed in Talos, for them, the Empire was the safest bet against the Thalmor. The reality is that the Stormcloaks can never beat the Thalmor. At best, they're an overgrown group of Nordic traditionalists with no fleet, no trade with other countries (as far as I know), and no wish to work with anyone but Nords of their brand. So the Stormcloaks certainly can't survive on their own, they need the Empire.
+Ghillie Dhu
try the larger trees mod for skyrim
makes the forests look much less sparse and waaaay more deep and dark and dense
Do the console editions come with all the DLC as well?
Yes they do indeed!
Bethesda’s goal is to limit information that it doesn’t control in order to sell more copies. This is its play to do so. To paint this as anything other than being consumer- and press-hostile requires some pretty hefty spin. If you see coverage of a game through official channels before the release of the review or press embargo, keep in mind that Bethesda considers that coverage to be marketing. There are streams of Skyrim Special Edition taking place right now, in fact, though it isn’t available until Friday.
Camelworks Awesome. Thanks for the info. I don't suppose you'd know if the skyrim script extender you were mentioning to play a large portion of the pc mods is planning to be released on console at some point?
strangefruit LiveStreams How that has anything to do with me or the comment I left is beyond me.
:-) hug
That was a damn excellent video. Thank you very much for the info 😊
Good job on this video, Camel, your arguments are sound and solid, and i'm impressed with your writing.
Ill be getting it for console, but I won't even be using mods because I'm an Achievement Hunter and even installing texture mods disables Achievements.
Cornflakes And Milk Same
Crucial Raider dont know about consoles, but installing mods on pc does not affect achievements
Mr Beast it does
Yo, in Norway a game is normally 65-75 US Dollars... 60 dollars is cheap as f*ck imma buy this game and imma play it all day. Dat sh*t cheap yo
wait, not sure if i understood right.. but does Skyrim special edition have all the DLC's imbedded in the game? or is it just a better version of simple skyrim
Deuces Peeps It comes with all the dlcs
Deuces Peeps it has all dlc
Deuces Peeps has all the dlcs
yes its all the dlc in one game no extra downloading or anything
Mizmo Plays is this game on Xbox 360
Preparing for the 64-bit arrow to the knee resurgence.
I am excited and these videos make me even more excited!!!!
WTF i havent played on a console in years. i currently have a 165hz monitor on PC and i cant understand how anybody can play anything on a console at 30 FPS i mean WTF. They should significantly lower the graphics on the games to get at least 60FPS.
First person shooters must be a complete and utter farce on console
Fuck you, damn PC fanboy
Paul R. Why u hurt
Jim Dunne Ya I'd rather have 60 fps over graphics.
Because I am tired of this whole "pc masterrace" and console war shit
Caleb83370 i have no hate for consoles just surprised that a game like this is capped at 30fps. I think its a shame that PCs are steaming ahead adding extra fps capacity year on year yet consoles are stuck at 30fps which is generally accepted as unacceptable for gameplay. At 165hz i can play this game at over 5 times the refresh rate, yet it wont even look twice as good. Thats stupied. Like i said, they should lower other performance parameters to get it up to 60fps.
Bye social life, it was nice knowing you
Nemesis 3.7 Yup, ripperonis in 2 hours ;(
7:14 ahh, so close
Grim Reaper lol
Rubbing my hands like birdman waiting for realvision for Skyrim SE.
I appreciate the video man. Much needed!
Nice work, and yes my modded Skyrim looks a heck of a lot better. But its sluggish with long load times and its unstable. I cant get that 64bit engine running fast enough to be honest. Unlocking the true power of my PC instead of the 32bit limitations will be a godsend. I'm about too ditch it all and the mods they ran in on lol. Yes I will miss my SKSE and Skyui but I wont miss the 2 min mod setup time while SKSE loads all them MCM's. Tomorrow cant really come fast enough, its pre loaded ready to roll. 1st job will be to finally finish the damn game with Vanilla SSE then ill mod it till it breaks or until my PC begs me to stop or pays me to stop, whichever comes 1st :P
Seems like I found someone that will do the same thing that I will do . I'm pretty much done messing around with ENB performance problems , and dealing with mods . I am leaving them behind and I jump into the Special Edition ... I wanna have that skyrim feeling again
I got that skyrim se modded mental feeling lol
im already playing skyrim legendary with hundreds of mods, why would i need to swap to special edition????
HypersonicMonkeyBrains Simple. So that your new skyrim can use more of that pc ram you have considering you have more than 4 gb of ram on your pc. Since the 32 bit engine of old skyrim can only use up to 4gb of ram only then it will either slow down or crash frequently if you exceed on that.
And with the new 64bit game engine capability of skyrim SE that can use up to 16 billion gb of ram, your modding experiences would be limitless given that you'll have or already have more ram on ur pc.
It's not the graphics I'm worried about. It's why there's, once again, a user made patch mod for this thing.
They've had a year to add this guy's fixes and credit him appropriately, but no, just give him early access and let him make the same thing again.
What a disgrace.
Same thing goes for the script extender. Not sure why people latch onto modding Elder Scrolls games because their backend sucks. They're getting slowly better(Morrowind scripting was a nightmare) but it still sucks.
Whatever, I got the game for free. Haha
Because there is no Script extender for the special edition yet so the only way it'd launch with it was if bethesda gave the Script extender team the updated creation kit and a copy of the game months in advance which wouldn't have been possible. The unofficial patch also has a noticeable amount of bugs at the moment and it will take some time to fix. You have to understand that when you have a full time job and have to write and test a complex mod/program such as these it takes a lot longer than a couple of nights after work.
Dylan Conway
You realise that it's easy to create a scripting language which is universal and doesn't require extensions. Bethesda, for whatever reason, prefers not to. Morrowind scripting, for instance, had no way of getting the target of an attack. It made it impossible to apply scripted on hit effects unless you had a script instance for every possible target in the game which is ridiculously impractical.
It's not a matter of why an extender is released later but why it was necessary in the first place.
Easy you say? I'd love to hear what Ian Patterson, Stephen Abel and Paul Connelly have to say about that comment.
It is easy far more then you think the SKSE team was able to inject scripts without the source code of the game meaning 100% assembly hacks (and a bit of C) so if an external application is able to gather information from a game, for the game itself it would be 20 times easier to do so.
Nice informative video! Keep up the good work!
I sure hope that all the great modders of the past will return
I never had the chance to play the heart fire and dragonborn dlc so thats new content for me
Alejandro Salvidres honestly dragon born is boring, heathfire however is good.
Paragrin Took relapse is dope
I have never played any of the DLC but I did put 300 hours into the original game. I am basically paying for the DLC plus a better looking version of the same game with mod support, a GREAT deal if you ask me.
What? Dragonborn is the best of all three DLCs. Dawnguard is boring.
Gabriel Eduardo I thought they were all really good, the only reason I'd put dragon born over dawnguard is due to the fact it's actually whole new region to explore which was really cool and diverse
Are the new textures in 2k? And since it is now 64bit, can I update many to 4k?
BrightNeonGamer ehhh....yes....mods
BrightNeonGamer you can install as many textures as your pc can handle
KleisterMeister you can install more than that, it just won't run as well :p
not on console, even on the ps4 pro and scorpio the games won't have 4k textures but are upscaled to 4k resolution
That still depends on your GPU. Since the RAM Capacity issue was mainly for content loaded. But graphical fidelity in Texture Size and such will be depending on your GPU. However 4GB GPUs should be enough to use 4k.
Anyone know why all the dlcs got added without paying? I just recently found skyrim special edition in my games library on steam and i didnt buy it.
Take a drink every time he says skyrim
Man... what a well-made video. Applause to you and thank you for the info. I usually don't just sub people just based on their doing a good job or not (in fact, never). There usually has to be a chance of me coming back for future content. I'm gonna ignore that rule here, you deserve my sub. Thanks again.
If you go to target you can get skyrim legendary edition for $20
The Rogue Leader for how long
Daniel Zapata it's been like this for years
The Rogue Leader not special edition
Crystal Mccowan i meant legendary edition
I wish they would have released it today.........
it is coming out on pc tonight at 8 i think
Ancil Terry is is out today at 12
Thats tomorrow.
Rex Ik I count that as today tho
Does the SE make Skyrim feel smaller? I played with DyndoLOD and it made Skyrim feel much smaller cuz you can see everything..
I wondered about this. I think all the extra foliage and environmental effects will cancel some of that out.
it will feel more like walking through a forest, or climbing a mountain.
It won't be Super PRetty like on PC, but definitely looks more stable.
PC modding is also kinda tricky, I modded my PC version through a website 1-3 step tutorial.. but it was actually about 80 steps. took 4 hours to complete. And even let my average- okeyish PC with lots of studdering and some textures looking "too glossy" or npcs not fitting the lore.
Skyrim Special Edition is probably the most lore-friendly, stable and easy to get into version of Skyrim you can find =)
I can't wait to play Skyrim 64-bit with DyndoLOD, playing with it at High Preset on 32-bit engine with an ENB tanked my framerate around cities (tended to drop to around 30 in Whiterun) and caused crashes even though i have a beast of a PC. Of course we probably won't see that until at least the new year.
great video man! thank you! I'm super excited for this special edition skyrim on ps4. you do a good job of bringing the info. keep up the good work
"16.... that is 16 exabytes" blew my mind there.
