Camel: The Dwemer Rod seems telescopic. Probably a bad idea in real life, but hey. This is fantasy. I... Telescopic fishing rods are a pretty common thing in real life, tho. And this being Dwemer in nature makes it so it can have relatively modern things going in term of metalworking techniques and structure.
So random question, but during the mudcrab invasion the necromancer had an Ancient Nordic Dagger, I can't recall any other Ancient Nordic Dagger that you find and you can't craft Nord Hero Daggers as far as I remember.. As far as getting the ring of surroundings early, you'll have to fish for a glassfish the old fashion way, you can only acquire a glassfish in world is in Blackreach, which isn't something one does early on
What I Learned: Camel's quick fish guide holds all the answers. I'm just going to tell everyone to check out the quick fish guide when people ask me questions.
If you keep fishing in the same spot after you find the hat (is possible before too) you'll also find the ring of kynareth which has the same abilities as the hat, saves wearing an ugly hat for some extra effort.
Aaaah...that reminds me of my favourite activity when hearthfire came out: Build godslayer tier weapons out of wooden blades, give it to children and create unkillable, heavily armed soldiers that can kill Alduin, because I sure as hell am to busy hanging out with sanguine.
The first time I met Ri'Saad he was stuck in side a rock. I reloaded from my last quick save and took a slightly different route to find him and he was nice and normal walking with his feet on top of the road instead of glitched into the terrain.
I actually found a juvenile crab and a glassfish shortly after getting a fishing rod from the Riften fishery. Funny because I'm still looking for a crab in another save.
All the anniversary update stuff is great for my religious fundamentalist Dunmer. Adding Goldbrand and the Ring of Khajit really further dials up the Champion of the Reclamations vibe.
Can confirm, reelless fishing rods work just fine for small fish. But, then again, I've never caught large fish and haven't gone fishing is a couple of years.
I was listening audio only so sorry if you noted this in the video, but in Morrowind the description for the Vampiric Ring says 20-30 Points *for* 10 seconds, not over 10 seconds. In other words it dealt 20-30 points every second for 10 seconds, making it beyond busted, especially early game. The only thing balancing it was the fact that it only had 2 uses before you had to leave it to recharge. Sad to see it fall from grace.
And even then Morrowind has my FAVORITE recharge system as well, literally just wait. I absolutely prefer that method for the obvious reasons. Of course it is just handy to not have to spend soul gems but it just makes more sense to me. You sacrifice a soul to enchant an item. I dont see why you need to spend more souls just to USE said item, the first soul should be enough IMO. The soul inside gets tuckered out and needs time to recharge. I just miss it i guess
Holy balls. Molag's Bals, even! This was so damn helpful, thank you! The fishing content is great if you're doing an easy going immersive RP play through, but going after the artifacts that way would have taken far to long for my patience to handle after a while. I'll keep this video around as reference for sure. I was checking out your other content and thought of a potential Elder Scrolls Detective suggestion. What if you went over all of the Dark Brotherhood contracts offered by Nazir and speculated the reasons someone would want those targets killed? Sorry if this has been suggested before, and I know as an assassin you're not supposed to care about the who and the why, but it always baffled my mind as to why someone would put a mark on a mad beggar like Narfi or a caravanner mage like Ma'randru-jo. To be fair I think digging up potential info to speculate with would be the hardest part, but it could be an interesting character dive. Anyway, thanks again for the lovely high quality lore videos!

Him: Has a base damage of cr@p. Me: One handed enchantment gloves, going around one stab killing bandits through their backs using a fishing rod 🤷Love how multi-utility the rods are. Lord Sheogorath would be proud.
There are other things enchanted with waterbreathing. One is the helmet worn by the ebony warrior. You can get it by looting his corpse. You have to reach level 80 to be able to trigger his quest though. If you have good luck, you can also buy a ring or necklace enchanted with waterbreathing from Radiant Raiment in Solitude. It seems such items only appear in that shop when your character is at level 1.
With small prison bug you can where all jewelry who increases movement speed by 30% in total with can provide interesting effects on game play or hight speed khajit with skooma
I wonder if the quick fish video will save more minutes of my life than the time spent hearing the words "watch my quick fish video" during this video. 🤔
friend goldfish broken in my play, the trough is filled with wood, no water, no matter how long follow her around there is no water to place the goldfish
Aside from the Ring of the Wind there's also a sword in the Creation Club that fortifies running speed. I've forgotten its name though, but this could make for an interesting build when the two are combined on an Altmer under influence of the Slow Time shout. A great Volkihar build upgrade.
I use the Warlocks Ring for my 2 Handed and Sword & Shield melee characters cause it helps me deal with pesky wizards and even dragons easily while I use the Ring of Wind for my Dual Welding characters to let me get at opponents quickly the Mentors Ring is especially useful for Spellcaster characters the Dagmasters Ring is always helpful for the +20 resistances the Ring of Surroundings is good for Thief/Assassin characters or the Ring of Kajiit for quick getaways the Vampire Ring is actually kinda meh as the dps is kind of low dispite your destruction lvl
The fang of haynekhtnamet in Morrowind does bot share a model with the chitin dagger, just looks like it does on first glance, but when you actually look at the two, the differences are obvious, the hand guard on the chitin dagger are literally just two scrib leg endings that are attached by a strip of netch leather, the handle is wrapped in netch leather, and the pommel is nowhere near long enough to resemble the fang.
The way you make that pole dance, how gracefully yet powerfully you handle your superior rod, and the sheer depths you delve with these videos. Some might say they've fished up a real treasure, finding themselves hooked by this channel. Don't worry, I'm sure I'm not the first, and won't be the last, to bait others with puns of such radiant scale. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be getting back to Pokemon, a gillty pleasure of mine. Hope that's not offinsive!
Umm... 42:19 is false. It is 20-30 health and fatigue PER SECOND for 10 seconds. That's 200-300 health and fatigue absorbed over 10 seconds. Considering HP and Damage are much lower in Morrowind than Skyrim, it is absolutely busted. As a reference, the final boss of main quest takes 2-3 casts of the ring to kill. Other than that, a great video.
I wish you could wear 2 rings in Skyrim like in Marrowind. Great video thank you for sharing. If the metal was old silver it would look grey or even black. 🙃☕❤

Him: Has a base damage of cr@p.
Me: One handed enchantment gloves, going around one stab killing bandits through their backs using a fishing rod 🤷Love how multi-utility the rods are. Lord Sheogorath would be proud.

Indeed spears are abnormally hard to find in Skyrim for some reason...
Skooma Zooma
Don't know if anybody else has said it but there's actually a third item that gives you water breathing the death brand helmet
Lord behind the fishing hat is swims in deep water simply took it to temple to get it blessed
The warlock ring is a must for my 2handed heavy armor battlemage build, even if the ward is just 25 points its been such a life saver
38:30 - "fangtusk is pretty feisty" he says, while fangtusk sits completely motionless for 20 seconds letting camel pelt it with arrows.
The size of the rings in morrowind kinda explains why you can only equip one per hand.
Bloodthirst, I believe
Use the ten rings mod and wear them all
The fang of haynekhtnamet in Morrowind does bot share a model with the chitin dagger, just looks like it does on first glance, but when you actually look at the two, the differences are obvious, the hand guard on the chitin dagger are literally just two scrib leg endings that are attached by a strip of netch leather, the handle is wrapped in netch leather, and the pommel is nowhere near long enough to resemble the fang.
He seems proud to know how to pronounce the lightning lizards name
28:17 Yup... That uh... is a nice fishing rod...
I listen to audio books and podcasts while fishing for the rings, that way it will be worth my time.
I got the ring of the wind on like my 4 cast by the guardian stones and you can actually feel the 15% speed
One of the dragon priest masks gives waterbreathing as well
44:30 when she hands you that you know she's for the streets
Man you do your research, long long long time subscriber, keep up the good work and wish you all the luck in the new year.
58:30 bro what are you smoking, a LOT of rods are telescopic
No other Morrowind nerds going to point out that the Fang's texture isn't a chitin dagger?
I wish you could wear 2 rings in Skyrim like in Marrowind. Great video thank you for sharing. If the metal was old silver it would look grey or even black.
🙃☕❤
Welp, time to go fishin. Sorry Tamriel, the fishing's important
At around 15:50 I was startled by the dragon shadow
The little girl Mila broke and just started walking around doing everything except putting the fish up
Listening to your skyrim videos gives me the power to go back to skyrim and have an adventure. U are really good with rods I will say
