Great test!!! I believe silicone doesn't have pores; however, it seems they have put a texture in this sponge that allows it to pick up and transfer foundation better, which cleans well with the scrubber.
Cool video, cool product, but its still a no-buy for me. This thing is too handle-with-lots-of-care for me. I have no time to be super gentle while washing a sponge. And its also too expensive if I think about that I already have silicone pads and eggs as well as sponges. This thing doesn't have more benefits than my usual beauty sponge. Regardless, thanks for the demo ladies, great job as usual.
I bought this and it is really nice. I used much less product than I thought I would. I used the silicone side for putting the foundation all over then the flat side to smooth it all out. Super easy application and it came out nicely with more coverage as it didn’t soak up product like a traditional sponge. It’s worth a try if you’re in the market for a new sponge.
Now all I can think of are little cartoon bacteria pressing themselves up against the *inside* of the silicone coating, snarkily critiquing my foundation blending skills every morning.
I would really like to see you guys cut a used one open compared to a beauty blender in order to see if it is really cleaner than beauty blender/other sponges!! 💕💕

Does no one else find that it's hard enough to use up foundation in the 24 months you're supposed to keep it? I usually end up finishing a foundation after it's long expired or throwing it away if it's so out of date that I'm too grossed out to use it anymore. I'm not sure why using less product is such a big concern.
I’m quite interested in this though I wonder how is compares to my Juno velvet sponge. Because of its velvet coat it doesn’t it does soak up as much product and the first time I used it I felt like I had WAY to much foundation on. And I think they’re little cheaper then that’s gonna be on its own.
Commenting because I love the Daiso sponge and puff detergent too! :p My favourite product to get foundation/ concealer off sponges. Seems like this sponge works great, and will save money in the long run.

I would be okay paying $19.95 for a sponge, it's more than what I usually spend but for a once a year purchase that's not bad. It looks really good quality and the concept is pretty good. $29.95 tho? Not worth it.
I'm interested to try this product but I feel like they might be better off releasing a fully silicone-coated sponge, or have that available as an option in the future? I feel like I can buff out my makeup using my existing sponges/cushion puff/brushes, and I won't feel as worried about using the uncoated bottom part for a WHOLE year
I would absolutely love to know what the inside of one of those looks like after continued use for how long they say it lasts. Any chance you guys would be willing to do a follow-up on this?
Ooh interested in this sponge, saw Tati likes it too. But I literally have one of those scrubbers, they are also used as a facial washing tool. Got mine in primark in a pack of two for about £1.50/ £2 if I remember correctly, it was a while ago, as they last forever. But anyhow, would be interesting to know if they will sell without the scrubber as you can get these cheaper elsewhere so no need for them to hike the prices up for the sake of an add on product
I wonder how this will be with BB and CC cream type products, of water foundations. I'm curious to try with those. Bc I still like using a sponge with those type of products bc I love the finish, but I have to use dry bc when it's wet it soaks up too much. I think I'm gonna get it!
Am I the only one that can’t see past the typo on the packet? How many people in PR should have spotted that 🙈 (in case you’re bored and want to see it, it’s “scubber” ) #toomuchtimeonmyhands
Had to lol at the little scrubber tool that came with it - I already have a couple of those exact scrubbers that I bought at Walmart. They're supposed to be for scrubbing your face. But they suck, so I'm going to repurpose them as cleaning tools for my own sponges 😁
Sara White same It gets wet just like a regular sponge but not as much area to dry from plus the silicone side won’t dry out at all with the water trapped under it Sounds gross
Sara White huh, that’s very interesting. I don’t think that it will mold, it doesn’t really have anything to mold for(?) I guess what I am trying to say is, I don’t think it will, but to prevent that for 100%, you should try to hang it with the sponge facing down, so all the water can drip out.
Idk if it's a coincidence but the packaging, like the bag that the super sponge comes in, is identical to the Juno microfiber sponge except it's purple not blue
its not exactly unique packaging. its often used for quinoa or food packaging that holds grains or seasonings. its likely been chosen because its cheap to produce. it looks nice, and the minimalism is nice. its likely also resealable which would be handy if you want to store your blenders in a hygienic way if you dont have a little holder for your blenders. its likely that Juno and this company chose the same packaging manufacturer for the affordability. as well it'll likely be faster to make so they can mass produce their product at a lower price point and ship it faster. i doubt they were purposefully trying to immitate Juno since they both offer entirely different benefits to the styles of their sponges.
the products themselves are unique but the packaging is likely from the same manufacturer. i doubt that it is what is swaying the price point. Juno amd this blender are made of entirely different materials so it would be expected one would be a bit more expensive than the other. it also wouls depend on how theyre manufacturing the blenders. if one is higher quality and made differently, it would change the price. i hope that makes sense
Uggh I wish that glitter wasn't there. Is it plastic glitter? Because that's so bad for the environment. Otherwise, I'm intrigued. Edit: thnx for 80 upvotes yall
@@Jessi-gx7wk Since biodegradable glitter is more expensive, brands that use it generally advertise it. So if it's not clearly marked as natural, it's probably plastic. :'(

My guess is it probably needs the uncoated part to be able to suck up water and expand
@@littlemzrainbowz98 Oh didn't think of that, okay that makes sense haha
I plan on ordering one to try it out!
This looks SO cool! Omg do I need another sponge?....I think I might!
You dont. Use what you have and buy a replacement when you need it
I’ve ordered one. I’ve been so good st buy8ngvbarely any makeup this year nd wanted to try this
I would absolutely love to know what the inside of one of those looks like after continued use for how long they say it lasts. Any chance you guys would be willing to do a follow-up on this?
Does the glitter stay there once wet and rinsed? I need to know only half way through video dk if you mention it later on
i've washed my sponge and it is more or less gone from sponge but it didn't got stuck to my face when i used it
I need this in my life ASAP! Thanks ladies 💋💋💋
Pre ordering this as soon as payday comes later this week!😁
Can not wait to get mine and try it.
I've just ordered this, if Kat, Hailey and Tati approve I simply must have it!
I wonder how this will be with BB and CC cream type products, of water foundations. I'm curious to try with those. Bc I still like using a sponge with those type of products bc I love the finish, but I have to use dry bc when it's wet it soaks up too much. I think I'm gonna get it!
I feel cheated, should've done the face test too! haha😜
Interesting product. Looking forward to some longterm reviews!!
I got mine this week and very excited to try it
Bloody marvellous video! x
Am I the only one that can’t see past the typo on the packet? How many people in PR should have spotted that 🙈 (in case you’re bored and want to see it, it’s “scubber” ) #toomuchtimeonmyhands
I see scrubber.....
Ahhhh.... On the backside. I read your comment as they were showing the front. LOL! Yes. That’s really bad.
I thought they did it intentionally at 1st
Had to lol at the little scrubber tool that came with it - I already have a couple of those exact scrubbers that I bought at Walmart. They're supposed to be for scrubbing your face. But they suck, so I'm going to repurpose them as cleaning tools for my own sponges 😁
Ohhh ❤🤗good morning ladies
I love the purple color silicon sponge
Will have to try it one day
Am I the only one that doesn't mind using a lot of product because my foundation costs less than 10 euros? 😂
Same. Why would I spend $20 on a sponge to save my cheap, but really amazing, foundation?
@@vassibieber4894 I use a wet and wild one
Omg please use this for a few months and then do a destruction video and see what the inside looks like!!
How does it dry? Do you think it will get mouldy easy? Especially if left with the silicone side up while still damp?
Sara White same
It gets wet just like a regular sponge but not as much area to dry from plus the silicone side won’t dry out at all with the water trapped under it
Sounds gross
@@gelcubes1536 I didn't think they were copying I was wondering if they were made by the same people but based on the price points I'm thinking not
the products themselves are unique but the packaging is likely from the same manufacturer. i doubt that it is what is swaying the price point. Juno amd this blender are made of entirely different materials so it would be expected one would be a bit more expensive than the other. it also wouls depend on how theyre manufacturing the blenders. if one is higher quality and made differently, it would change the price. i hope that makes sense
that scrubbie thing. dude you can get those at daiso for cheap. i've also seen them at target.
Thank you guys for this video! I needed it!!!
looks like something claires would sell w/ that glitter,
btw i like the way you say silicone
Uggh I wish that glitter wasn't there. Is it plastic glitter? Because that's so bad for the environment. Otherwise, I'm intrigued.
Edit: thnx for 80 upvotes yall
Pretty much all glitter is platic from what I understand, even cake glitter which is unforchunate
it looks like micro glitter
@@bellasmith8821 there are types of glitter that are natural and biodegradable, like mica. Lush f.e. uses synthetic mica in their products 👍
@@Jessi-gx7wk yes that's true, hopefully it is that, but I kind of doubt it
@@Jessi-gx7wk Since biodegradable glitter is more expensive, brands that use it generally advertise it. So if it's not clearly marked as natural, it's probably plastic. :'(
