Doesn’t he live in like the dakotas? We practically live in Florida compared to him 🤣
But thanks! I know he and I would get along just fine. I would like to have 10% of his knowledge!

there was services that could cut the crank in the engine. see if these people could help you. you have one of my most favorite channels. i wish that you lived next door. if i could help you one particle i would. my best wishes

I didn’t really show it but at the worst spot it measured like 0.100” under. The maximum you can grind these cranks is 0.050”. So it would have to be welded which is expensive and risky or you just find a different crank which is what we will do.

Anything unique / special tricks about the 977 that you've learned over the years / hours ? Maintenance / preventative maintenance and upgrade wise.

lube the radiator fan bearing and the drive shaft (under floorboard-inbetween the transm and the torque conv) regularly..drain water from bottom of fuel tank+change fuel filters both spin on primary and on the bottom of the inj pump theres one-often@@LORFCASTER

Watching you're strugg le when you were trying to pull engine etc. At the marina where I work the mechanics nearly always attach a chain hoist to allow for smoother lift and flexibility. Lots of luck. WW

@@dieseJL yea the rod cap was black look at others they weren’t black if you drop a engine pan and see a black rod cap and others aren’t black that rod bearings Spun causing heat that turns rod cap black like that

Question - Why not dig a hole under it? Drag it over a hole? Not so wide as to allow the thing to fall in! Anything extra for clearance is going to be better. Greetings from the end.... Too late for gratuitous advice!
