A dream car in the day. I am just a tad younger than you mate and I was 19 and had a mica red turbo 2000 on an 2000 X plate. I fitted a boost valve and an STi back box with techno magniso 19” alloys. I honestly thought life could not get better. Max power days cruising down Kirkcaldy high street Scotland.
Fantastic series to show case what work you can achieve / produce. Top stuff. Thanks for posting this up.

I cannot believe the bushings weren't seized to those lateral link bolts, haha... I had to cut it into multiple sections and *burn them out* with a torch when I did the wheel bearing on my bugeye WRX (which was only ~12 years old at the time). And yes - it literally added days to the project.
It was more rust than car when I finally decided to sell it off a couple years later. Breaking a dozen parts in order to replace a single one starts wearing on you... 😣

Just a bit of info; You will need the Genuine Subaru Impreza STi 98-00 Red Inverted Struts. UK Dealers still have them according to the P1 groups. The biggest problem will be finding the red springs. They were made by eibach to Prodrives specs, no other STi had them and they are long out of production.
