Just started using their products. I was skeptical but I’m a believer now. I really like their in shower style fixer gel and their hydro style flexi jelly. Also, I noticed that they expanded their travel size line so people can try more of their products without the sticker shock.

Double duty product for me (not advertised as one): AG hair fast food leave in. It does have silicone but that doesn't bother me. Anyhow, it's fairly thick, but I found using that as a leave in/curl cream combo is fantastic! It actually enhances my curl pattern! If I try to use it with a curl cream, I find it's too much for my finer texture. 💜💜💜

Curlsmith is on a totally different level with their products. I think it's actually kinda bad that they are called Curlsmith though because they put themselves in a category where people with straighter hair might not use it and they won't know what they are missing! It should just be called Hairsmith haha I have a very slight wave on a good day and greasy scalp - their scalp health line is pure magic. I can go 3 days without washing my hair and pretty much skip dry shampoo (I used to use tons of that stuff). Their bond rehab is my favorite product in the world. For styling i use feather light protein cream and hydo style flexi jelly. The protein cream definitely doubles as a leave in for me - actually i don't find that it styles my hair at all. I need a lot of hold for my hair to keep some semblance of definition. Even though the flexi jelly gives me a cast i still don't find it to have enough hold. I've been layering it under Cake mousse and I'm still not satisfied haha I need to try more gels / mousses but I already have a few and I need to use up what I have first...

Thanks for this particular routine demo. I just got several Curlsmith protein products and wondered if I can use them together without getting overload. Would you suggest only using the protein products monthly or so, or is it okay to use them all the time until damaged hair starts to improve? So far I've only just tried the Curlsmith Bond Curl Repair Salve once so far and was afraid to pile on the protein. My hair is pH damaged from castille soap used as shampoo for years (just realized it's damaging) and I just started CGM about a month ago.

I'm scared to use the souffle as my current dew point is too low. I've tried to seal/ finish per Manes by Mell and it doesn't prevent my hair from getting frizzy. Have you ever done a video to show us what your hair would look like if you did a 'normal' wash and air dried with no products? I'd love to see something like that to help assess what parts of your routine may be most helpful for my hair type.

Agree with this. I have wavy/curly hair and bought products stylist recommend then put under sink and rarely used. I still got good curl but hair is now really dry and color damaged so ready to be nicer to hair. Since she's been using curly girl products for over a year I bet her hair would probably respond very well without all the products.

I’ve found the garnier 1 minute mask with aloe to be a good multitasker. It’s nice as a rinse out, deep conditioner, and a leave in.

I don't need a leave-in unless my styler is high in protein, like their strength foam. Generally a just do a gel and no leave-in

Is it normal to loose hair when you start the CGM ? I’m 6 months into it, but I loose ALOT of hair whenever I comb it when wet !!! I let my hair dry after washing it, and after when I wet it to apply my products and comb it I loose so much hair.. It’s like a big bunch and it’s depressing. I can see my scalp and I’m wondering if it’s the products even though Itried different ones. Raking doesn’t help as well. I’m so afraid comb my hair now 😞
    .
BTW love curl smith, currently using the protein treatment kit ❤️

Are you still using your “scalp brush” to shampoo?? Maybe it’s off camera, just wondering

Does anyone have a suggestion for those little weird straight hair sections that refuse to curl. My face framing hair is stick straight and the rest has loose curls.

I have one of those little sections in front also. Sometimes I finger roll it or coil it with a brush. My section is shorter and I sometimes think I miss making sure it has enough gel because I tend to focus on my ends more.

I have received the Ecoslay Peppermint snappz shampoo for my birthday. I would be happy if you would test it out. I do not know how to use it right.

It is an interesting product. I shake it up to mix it and apply it directly to my scalp since it is SO runny. Its has a lot of oils in it, so I mostly use it in the fall and winter when the air is dryer.

I am scared to try more of their products because the scalp treatment I tried has such a heavy fragrance. I like the smell, but instant headache. It's so weird to me that companies put such strong scents in their products when we are most likely going to be using multiple products at once.
