- The American Adventure Theme park was a big part of my childhood summers, it closed over 11 years ago. Footage filmed in 2018 .
Quick video made on a time limit, would have been happier if it was allowed to be longer and also had more time filming/editing
Vintage footage used via fair use (youtubers names stamped on the footage)v

I worked here for the first three seasons 1987-1990. Great times, great memories
And now it's a field
this makes me sad, it almost like nothing was ever there 😭 I have fond memories of this place though
I shat myself at this theme park
The memories,so wish I could have taken my kids here 😢
Excellent documentary of a place I once knew.
So sad, brilliant memories of this place, I remember one of the rollercoasters was absolutely huge and very high!
Heartbreaking to look back thankyou for the video
Sadly all this in the video has gone now, building commences next year :/
Thanks for watching
Great video , what was once teeming with life and noise, now quiet and dead
its great to see you are still doing video's
loved this place the missile was my first ever coaster shitting my self but after that went on it 3 more time sometimes a good fright awakens something inside for more
You've got a new career here with these documentaries, they're very good and interesting
Last one this 😂, did enjoy doing them though
Will have some normal vids this summer
Many thanks for your video boy was this a blast from the past many happy visits here including with ex family and yearly church trips so sad how it’s gone was missile and iron wolf that got me over fear of heights the 3D cinema was motion master same one as the first bean movie also I believe American adventure at time was first place in country to have motion master as was new tech back in the day that was one of my fave ride thanks again for the opportunity to reminisce
Can remember the motion master it was ace, glad you enjoyed it :)
@@derelictCHEESEBURGER oh definitely in actual fact bought tears to my eye seeing motion master in the first mr bean movie and bought memories flooding back though that’s one thing I’ve not found any reference to
As opposed to all the info about things such as missile being relocated no info on where motion master relocated to my vague recollection was it was up a hilly path in or near the building that had those 3 American Indian faces in the walls also I vaguely remember the first film on opening was the rollercoaster ride same as in the mr bean movie
@@LadySophieofHougunManor7325 yeah up the steps/slope to “Aztec kingdom” with the big faces. Good memories
@@derelictCHEESEBURGER definitely was a proud moment that American adventure was first to have motion master technology
Sad that American Accenture closed as with this and Camelot gone that’s allot of good memory’s at both
Great video mate went down there are a couple of days ago but not much to see now unfortunately but would have been a lovely place in its day as I visited this place as a kid 👍
Derbyshire Explorers Thanks :) yeah it’s very sad what they’ve done to the park, I’m not bothered it’s not a theme park again like most (although loved the park, sadly it would not be viable to reopen) but it’s such a shame that they pulled all the trees down and destroyed the habitats! Was bursting with life each time visited :/ they should have left it as a bird sanctuary
Can’t believe that place has gone. Good job exploring though. Nice find. Left u a like 👍
i remember going there twice while i was school, it was raining both times.
Typical British weather ahaha
derelictCHEESEBURGER it looks like the surface of another planet there now.
I shat myself on a day out here. My mates were embarrassed so they beat me up. A lot of the people walking around the park hated me so they threw rocks at me. I deserved it
Ayup me duck :D diggers have started digging it up at the front and where the missile used to be :(
what happend there discribes whats happend to this country,so sad.
Massive ice cream cones - £1 i mean big Cheers Rob
The Supremo - I worked in an ice cream shop opposite the Octopus Island as a teenager in the early nineties and used to get told off daily for making the ice creams too big 😆
