Derby Hippodrome - Abandoned Theater

Return to the Derby Hippodrome. The building dates back to 1914 making it over 100 years old. The theater has changed its role over the years from hosting big names to being a bingo hall shortly before its closure. after its closure it was bought by "Christopher Anthony" who instead of carrying out repairs to make the building safe again, got a big digger and caved in the roof and the whole stage area. there is video evidence of this and there is no way it was not intentional.
The building lies ruined and keeps being attacked by arsonists causing more and more of this once grand theater to be lost and collapse.

Problem is when then do clear the site we not only lose a Derby icon but it will be followed by a load of new houses.....

Sadly doesn’t surprise me, I’m not scared of buildings being old or decayed. It’s People that scare me, have met some sketchy folk over the years inside places

@@derelictCHEESEBURGER couldn't have said it better myself, I think it's a shame that places like this attract sketchier people because urban exploring is something I'd like to get into, but I don't think I'd want to risk running into the wrong type of person, especially being a young woman on my own
