Do the new genies still use an HDD inside the box?
I'm thinking about switching from mediacom to Metronet w/ directv because we have 2 dvrs & 2 minis & the HDDs have died like 9 times & needed swapped which requires a tech appointment & a week or 2 wait every time one dies!
These spinning HDDs are TRASH in the Arris mediacom dvrs!
I'm hoping the directv genie uses a solid state 1tb or larger SSD or are all the recordings stored in the cloud now?

I have an old directtv box but I took all the screws I can see out and I cannot get the cover off

Lemuel Jordan, about 10 screws on the bottom. Wasn’t showing how to pull the case off. Was showing what the inside looked like for those not wanting to pull the cover off.

Honestly, didn't know how long it would take and in order to save time and not force everyone to watch us unscrew every little screw we did all that a head of time before we started recording.
