He has done duets with Mary J Blige Aretha Franklin he is the man
The Mary J duet was flipping magnificent!!!
You CANNOT go wrong with George, we want more George, yes
Yes I agree. George Michael was so talented, please more George
George is easy one of the best male pop r&b vocalist of all time, no question.
There will never be another George Michael. He was one of a kind. Amazing musician and a beautiful soul.
Always George Michael for me. Big fan of his. Has all his albums, done Diamond paintings of him. Someone suggested him and Aretha. Them 2 amazing together, I Knew You were Waitin for me. If George sings it, it is always going to be amazing
IMO the best George duet is 'This is not real love' which George dueted with Mutya Buena. Our George breaking hearts in the most beautiful way 💜
Love George. Miss him so much - what a talent
"One More Try" by
George Michael is
great.
George was the best selling artist off all time..and there will never be another George..his voice was the most beautiful unique angelic velvet soul Voice there was....he was a incredible sing and Songwriter and the most beautiful generous soul..i loved him from day one and will forever continu to do so..♥️♥️miss you my beautiful angel ♥️♥️
George Michael was such an exceptional artist. Up there with the best. Not only was he an amazing singer but also a fantastic songwriter.
If you are looking for more duets I would highly recommend "As" with Mary J. Blige and of course the classic "I Knew You Were Waiting" with Aretha Franklin. Both incredible.
The song 'As' is, by some distance, my favourite Stevie Wonder song. I remember that duet coming out and I remember deliberately avoiding it because I wasn't interested in George Michael or MJB at that time. I bet I'd like it now!
It is a fantastic rendition of that song. It really is.
Don't forget George's duet with Mutya Buena 💜
A good dancer too
Jesus to a child, A different corner...
Have you ever listened to, Kissing a Fool, by George? It’s soooooo good! ✌🏻
Whitney & George sharing a moment on the dancefloor, belting this absolute classic is what legends are made of. What a moment this was.
Whitney and George are from the same era! They were definitely peers back in the 80s.
Elton John and George, Don't let the Sun go down on me. A lot of women on your site, need more George
Love George and Whitney!!!! I´m from Germany and I´m jealous you have George 😂🤩
This was during the time after George had been caught, outted, arrested. Both Mary J & Whitney had done these duets with George & the record companies wanted to shelve them. Both ladies put their artistic, million selling feet down & said the songs must be included & videos were made. The solidarity for George & their gay fans was amazing & wonderful.
Beautifully said! I hadn't made that link with what was going on at the time
@@bridgethegapreactions I just found tour reactions in my timeline. I enjoy your a lot. I've subscribed.
George’s duet with Mutya Buena was great
The duet with Muyta is beautiful.
George!! Is the best I miss him😢😢
George Michael is the best there is and never will be. He’s amazing his voice is like no other he is great. He will always be my favorite.
Babyface, Luther Vandross and George Michael would be an amazing introduction to male R&B singers!!
What's not to like...two brilliant artists sound great together
Two of the absolute BEST to do it!
These were proper stars, both legends.
I loooove her duet with Enrique "could I have this kiss forever". Her vocals on there was amazing
I like that one a bit better than this one. But this is still great. She has great chemistry with anyone she is performing with!
Yes! Great song
George Michael is one of the most brilliant singer songwriters ever! ever! ever! He's being inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year! He's also done duets with Aretha Franklin, Mary J Blige and Elton John, but his best music is his solo stuff. If you want to hear how clear, crisp, silky, beautiful and brilliant his voice is, you should listen to his songs like One More Try, Father Figure, Kissing A Fool, A Different Corner, I Can't Make You Love Me, Praying For Time, My Mother Had A Brother. That being said, I love his massive bangers like Faith, Monkey, I Want Your Sex, Flawless, Freek, Freedom 90, Outside, Fastlove and more. The other thing to know is that George wrote and produced all his own music. He also plays every instrument on his albums! A f%#king legend he is!
Thanks for mentioning, Kissing a Fool! It’s one of his absolute best songs which seems to often get overlooked.
✌🏻😉✌🏻
@@oceanlover3530 I absolutely love this song. My favourite part of it is the "But remember this, every other kiss, that you ever give as long as we both live...." part all the way through to the very end. ❤
@@jlim74 I hear that! 😉 Gorgeous lyrics. I wish more people would mention it in their requests. I actually purchased the music video and play it often on my iPad along with Cowboys and Angels. ✌🏻✌🏻
Their voices mesh and dance together so well. It's a great duet!
Listen to him live at BBC or Mtv.
music legends !
More Goerge please , he is a beast!!!Dont let the sun go down duet with Elton John live is so great .
Mary J & George Michael had a beautiful duet too❤
George is one of the best male vocalists, period. Talking about duets, you need to review Whitney and Mariah in "When you believe". Both, the official video and the live version in the Oprah show are amazing.
I've been building up to that one for a year (I started this channel last summer) - mariah and whitney duet is coming in July!
@@bridgethegapreactions yeaaaayyyy!!! Can't wait 🥰
This is a very contemporary sound but they gave old-school vocals on top of old-school vocals. And the arrangement is CRAZY 👏🏾
These two were amazing it's sad that neither was equipped to handle what the world threw at them.
2 sets of legendary pipes!! ❤❤
George Michael’s Freedom 90 video is one of my all time faves.
You may enjoy another video I recorded yesterday.... I'll post it today or tomorrow
I’ve grown up with Whitney & George this, song this collaboration between Whitney & George just incredible. They both respected and loved working together. George had said , that the lady singers in the industry he worked with Keith him going. ❤❤
Well you need to watch George Michael sing “Somebody to love” with Queen. It’s legendary.💞
Such iconic singers!! - IF I TOLD YOU THAT was superb. With George singing 'Don't let the sun go down on me' with Elton John live, just brilliant too!!! RIP George & Whitney 💔
Always massive, Most played artist on uk radio for 20 years straight. He has tons of duets.
Listen without prejudice and Older are amazing GM albums. If you like this you'll like a duet with him and Mary J Blige ...a cover of Stevie Wonders "As". Also a late GM single (non duet) called An Easier Affair.
George Michael, Kissing a Fool, PLEASE! It’s soooooo good! Please do George reactions! And, this was an awesome duet! Thank you for posting!
✌🏻😉✌🏻
Definitely don't know that one, will add it to the list thanks! I'll probably put a poll up soon...
underrated song. such fun. Both major icons
There are some iconic duets with George. The ones above mentioned with Aretha Franklin (very early in his solo career and he actually holds his own!). He also has a very famous live version of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down on Me with Elton John that I believe charted. A lesser known duet with Paul McCartney on George’s song Heal the Pain is a favorite of mine. I would love you to react to George!
I highly recommend checking out what I consider to be George's magnus opus Listening Without Prejudice ❤ also his duet with Aretha Franklin is just superb.
Omg how can I help guide you to bridge the gap for George Michael? His later music really got me!!
Def do the live somebody to love performance at the Wembley Freddy Mercury tribute. The performance resonates so much when u realize that he had literally just found out that his first love was hiv positive as he gave tribute to a man who had just died of aids. Heartbreaking. Powerful. And down right amazing
i can't believe you haven't got a reaction video to her Grammys performance of ONE MOMENT IN TIME, which most of her fans consider her best live performance of all, and probably one of the best live performances EVER!
Greetings from Northhamptonshire 🤗
I love this song, one of my favorite .
RIP Yall...I miss and Love you Both
This was from Whitney’s Greatest Hits collection. She did a couple duets for it including ones with Deborah Cox and Enrique Ingriques (the latter didn’t really hold up to Whitney but was popular at the time).
George has done multiple covers of Stevie Wonder and tons of soul/jazz songs that have given him tons of praise for his vocal abilities. I’d definitely recommend the songs from his Listen Without Prejudice album, especially “Cowboys And Angels” and “Mothers Pride” plus his cover of Wonder’s “They Won’t Go When I Go”
Love his cover of "They Won't Go When I Go." I actually knew his version before I ever heard Stevie's original and I still think his version is the best.
I don't know that Stevie song- will add it to the list, thanks!
Please listen to Deborah Cox and Whitney 😊😊
You should react to the song They won't go when I go, a Stevie Wonder's cover. His voice in this song is so...
Vocals were incredible!!
Great Reaction, Johnny❤️ Subscribed! All GM duets are amazing. His cover of Stevie Wonders 'As' with Mary J Blige and I Knew You Were Waiting for Me with Aretha Franklin. George has an extensive impressive catalog! Enjoy!
The song 'As' is, by some distance, my favourite Stevie Wonder song. I remember that duet coming out and I remember deliberately avoiding it because I wasn't interested in George Michael or MJB at that time. I bet I'd like it now!
@@bridgethegapreactionsStevie said he was in awe when he heard their duet version. You should definitely react to that one.
Love this duet, they were both doing great at the time hence why the duet even happened. I have that Whitney CD and i cherish it to this day, classic! RIP two of my favorites 💕
I was just listening to my George Michael playlist today! I'm surprised you're not more familiar with his music since you're from the UK. I grew up in the US and he was one of my first favorites as a kid. You HAVE TO react to "Freedom '90," "Father Figure," "Praying for Time," and his cover of Queen's "Somebody To Love." It's astonishing. One of the best singers/artists ever. I'm so sad he and Madonna never collaborated (although they met several times and knew each other when they were both on the rise in the early 80s).
I love them both ❤, definitely one time George Michael out Whitney, Whitney. This was amazing.Boy George, Simply Red,Al Green,Luther, Stevie Wonder, far as groups go, En vogue the original members ( Funky Divas).
listen to george with aretha. also there is a clip of whitney and mariah on the oprah show. wow.
George did a duet in a music video with Aretha Franklin that's amazing, I knew You Were Waiting, have you seen it?
I had forgotten they made a song together and he also made a song with Aretha Franklin called I knew were waiting for me. They slayed it.
Such a great song and collaboration. This one and the one he did with Mary J Blige’s are my fave duets
I hoped you would do this song 🎉 They are both amazing and together it’s just perfect ❤ Catchy and fun 🤗 Great reaction ❤🎉 Hope you do more George Michael. Amazing voice and has a lot of great songs. The Faith album was obv great, but Older is after he lost a great love and hits differently. «Jesus to a child» is from that one, and Fastlove, Spinning the wheel, Star people. Other fun songs: Too funky, Freedom, Outside, As (with Aretha Franklin), Freek!, Father figure, Praying for time, Careless whisper, Don’t let the sun go down on me (live with Elton John). The last one lifted Elton John at the time as he was a little in the «weird old star smashing other people» category for a while. Still a star, but lots of eye rolling. The two of them together was amazing 🎉
Thank you so much for all those suggestions!
@@bridgethegapreactions I mixed up my duet suggestions reg partner🫣, but As and I knew you were waiting are both great duets 😁🥰
Both of their voices sound good on this duet. Candidly, I do like the solo single on My Love is Your Love better.
Me too. I love GM but this felt like a lazy collab with him just sort of shoehorned in. It works better toward the end when they're both belting but I would have preferred a new/original song of them together.
Please, please, react to his live version of a long and winding road. He sang this at the tribute to Linda McCartney after her passing, with Paul in the audience. From what I understand, Paul said George sang it better.
I read that initially this was supposed to be a duet with Michael Jackson. That would’ve been amazing too! I looove this song so much
Back to Life duet with Lynn ( in Rio) ! The best!
Definitely the duet with Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias...Could I have This Kiss Forever!! An amazing song as well!!
Ohh I love this video. Great reaction.
Check out Whitney Houston with Enrique Iglesias duet - Could I Have This Kiss Forever...
🤍🕊🏛❤🕺💃🏿❤🏛🕊🤍
Whitney is THEE greatest female voice of her generation!!! And George was definitely the sexiest but also a great voice!!
George was the best male singer/ songwriter of his generation. He also arranged and produced all his songs and played some of the instruments too.
It's one of my favourite Whitney songs, I do prefer the CD version where Whitney sings the song solo. George has a nice voice though.
I can't afford ur patrion.... But u should def watch the George Michael FREEDOM doc from 2017... I believe there's a uncut version released this year...
Спасибо! ❤🎉
Somewhere around 98’ this was done same year she did duet with Enrique as well
I like her duet with Enrique Iglesias better Could I have this kiss
This song was supposed to be a duet with MJ( the Darkchild Rodney) connection but he declined (Clive prohibited Whitney to record I Just Cant Stop with MJ for fear of overkill in the 80s. In hindsight not such a smart move). George’s vocals were recorded years after Whitney’s. Rodney has Some stories about that plus the video shoot had Some issues as well sinecure Whitney’s Life was in full meltdown during this era. Het, magic was created. Testament to her and his talent. This should have been massieve but alas the circumstance including Clive being ousted at Aristoteles, LA taling over etc. Certainly did not help. Such a shame. Nevertheless, a terrific song and video performance.
Have you reacted the Whitney Houston's "My name is not Susan music video"? She is stunning in that one.
Hey Johnny
Apparently she made him wait hours, too bizi getting Zippy
I remember this song on the radio, but never knew they dusted together
I've been thinking about this post all day and have just realised that you probably typed "dueted" and it autocorrected to "dusted". I've been thinking dusted is some kind of cool slang, like "oh yeah, she's cool - we dusted together back in the day..."
@@bridgethegapreactions LMFAO I just noticed it and shot water out of my mouth. Yes back when they both had to work a side hustle as cleaning ladies for a motel 😂
Johnny Gill is someone you should try
Try another beautiful voice-Adam Lambert. Try “Believe “, Kennedy Center honors performance honoring Cher. Or “Closer to You(Live Sessions). Or with Queen “Who Wants to Live Forever”. Isle of Wight performance. George and Whitney meld so well😊
I’m 70 yo and loved George. He blazed the trail for Adam to be out and proud
Adam has a good voice, but for me, he has nowhere near the soul or the beautiful tone of George’s voice. He’s good with Queen though,
@@ChloeR-vt4bh beautiful tone--Believe from the Kennedy Center Honors for Cher or his Feel Something or On the Moon
One of my favorite duets from my fave male and female vocalists. Seems this came out about the same time as George got 'caught' in LA. Whitney and Mary J. Blige reportedly didn't want to be connected with him and didn't promote their duets. Shame since they are both Fire!
Their record labels didn't want to promote their duets that were recorded before his arrest.
Yeah, his career was basically over in the US after that but luckily the UK was more open-minded and he continued to have success there until his death. I do think the quality declined though. Older was his last great album.
I actually forgot he arrested in LA. What's the story with that? I remember it being to do with a sex act on a police officer and he followed it up Outside which I remember kind of brilliantly mocked the whole situation. Was he set up? I assume there was a massive amount of homophobia involved in how it all went down and the response to it?
@@bridgethegapreactions I don't know if it was a "setup" but they were doing "sting" operations because that public restroom was known for "cruising." People see those types of operations at entrapment because the officers literally hit on people. I think he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think it was just more scandalous than people criticizing him for it. But he was already on the decline in popularity in the US so this was kind of the final nail in the coffin. He never had another hit single here.
Original this song was written for whitney and michael jackson to do together but Michael wouldn't so it so they got George Michael instead
George did a lot of duets. This is very good, but it’s my least favorite of all his duets. Just goes to show how really great he is.
It's so hard to watch her at this stage she was so far gone (I get 2nd embarrassment)
George was truly awesome. Try listening to his version of 'Going to a Town'
