Thanks for sharing. I've been feeding my ato with my ro bin using a pmup and have been debating moving those optical sensors to the mixing and ro bins and just doing away with the ato container. my tunze failed recently and I picked up a ATK. So I really have no good reason not to switch. Never thought to add a carbon flush to the ro unit, might have to do that too.. haha
@@ReefDudes Definitely. AWC is the best thing i've added to this setup. Just trying to be cautious to prevent flooding so automating the RO/ato out of the same bin makes me a little nervous. How often are you cleaning the optical sensors?
Thanks for the video Deven! I love your channel man. I wonder how much damage I have done to my membranes by not flushing carbon out before, instead of through them?
Holy automation batman!!! Dude this is a sick setup. Side note: how are those samsung washer and dryers working for you?? All my appliances are samsung and have been terrible. Been replacing them as the start malfunctioning.
Why did you not feed your water off the cold water for the washer with a splitter? I’m considering doing that myself. Any reason you decided against that?
@@giuseppefalvo6103 - I would suppose that could be a problem if you don't have good presure where you are at. I have good pressure at my house so I have had no problem and I run my RO line from basement to floor above maybe 7-9'. No problems so far and my washer is not a saver. However I did not read washer guide to see if a low pressure may cause damage. Run at your own risk:)
@@yaggyone2122 I’m assuming cause the booster pump I upgraded my main line on my house to 3/4 and don’t drop down to 1/2 till my taps my water pressure tripled from what it was
Man now I know who has been hoarding all the versa’s!
Yeah I need to start a RUclips channel they are the only ones with Versas.
A very clean set up Deven. Making the most with the room you have. Great job.
Thanks! have to find a way to make it work!
Thoughts on dryer lint and dust getting into things? As well as detergent/ bleach fumes?
There’s screw lids on the bins so not overly worried
@@ReefDudes thanks for the reply! Currently Bing watching all your vids!
Nice. Lean and smart way to save your back from lifting buckets etc
My older self will thank me! (heck my current self does haha)
Where did you get the tanks? The set-up is clean, neat, and well thought out.
Thank you! Had them made at a plastic shop (alcro plastics) pretty sure it’s a size meant for RV tanks.

Any link or video on the auto flush kit for the RODI unit. Thank you.
What a setup!
Hey Devon, nice setup! Where did you get those containers again?

Thanks! Hard to say but likely just reduced the life as the fines would clog it up sooner

They have been going strong for along time!

Tis what I do
I think would be so there’s no pressure change when both are running

Another apartment friendly reef solution!
Gotta be efficient with that valuable space!
Super helpful
I saw the thumbnail of the video and thought you were about to tell us you mix your water in those washing machines

When you can only dream of affording an mp40 for your display tank and this guy has one in his mixing bin! 😭
