(Here's a theory, not heard anywhere) 26th December 2004 was a SUNDAY and is the RUBY (40th anniversary) since Susan's last appearance (26th December 1964). Ruby was born two days earlier and left at Church at that same Christmas 2004 (Probably for the sake of the story as Christmas Eve is much more interesting than Boxing Day lol). Since the Christmas episode itself was about Fate > Coincidence I would say this could be a hidden clue/foreshadowment from Russell that Ruby is either Susan or her daughter. Would be typical Russell also.

There hasn't been a slow-burn anything with Mrs. Flood. She's barely been in this series/season other than the Christmas special and I think 2 episodes so far, where she barely had any dialog whatsoever. Unless the final two episodes really increase her airtime, the next season will have to be where they do more with her, I'd imagine. Or not, who knows with Doctor Who lol
@@SeeJay81 True, but then to just shadow drop something big with Mrs. Flood, that's just as some might say, a swerve for swerve sake lol that being said, after Legend of Ruby Sunday - it seems she's either Susan, someone else from the Doctor's past or another harbinger of Suketh.
@@LordLOC I'm leaning towards her being someone good, not evil. Most of her appearances have a sinister undertone but I think that's to throw us off lol. I actually think she might be a time lady. She knew what a TARDIS is but didn't recognize the doctors, or indeed the Doctor, but once she found out she accepted them very quickly.
@@SeeJay81 I mean, I think it's pretty obvious she's going to be Susan. She said herself she likes to hide herself away which the Doctor mentioned specifically earlier on in the episode. And while the scene with Ruby's grandmother was supposed to come off as sinister, I suppose - I don't think she is evil like you said. If she is Susan, she's going to have something big to do next week I'd imagine.
Why has nobody mentioned HECUBA the sister of the toymaker? In The Queen of Time " it mentions "Somewhere outside our universe, she is waiting. A God like immortal, living in a realm of clocks. The hours tick slowly by as she plots and plans. She is readying her trap. A trap for a very special man in a very special police box. Hecuba has all the time in the world. But for the Doctor time is running out". That covers both the one who waits and the ageless enemy.
@Mark-nh2hs Given this series has a lot of elements based around the number 3 - triangles hidden in plain sight, triad it would make sense for a 3rd member of the toymakers clan to be the finale villain. After all she is the toymakers sister and is immortal or ageless and has been waiting and plotting revenge against the doctor.
Oh, the actress who plays Kind Woman was really good in Fleabag (I just connected it was the same person) and I wouldn't expect them to play a minor nameless character.

Just had to say, incase it happens
Sian Clifford is a well known actress and Producer. she was Fleabags sister in Fleabag and has been in His Dark Materials on the BBC. She has a similar 'look' to Susan. Dark hair, dark eyes. They wouldn't 'waste' someone of her calibre on 'Kindly Woman'

I've been thinking for the last week or so that the Trickster's going to trap the Doctor and Ruby in an alternate timeline and that's how the season will end with the Doctor on the back-foot, losing like Infinity War. Both season 1 and 2 were filmed as a block similar to those Avengers movies so it would be the perfect opportunity to do something like that, Russel did say he wanted Doctor Who to be more like the MCU's heights. RTD saying one plot point that stares you in the face will cross between the seasons only heightens this. The only problem is Joy to the World, how would it work with a Christmas special sandwiched in between such a cliff-hanger? Perhaps the Doctor is phasing in and out between realities and he meets Nicola Coughan's character, this would explain Ruby's absence from the special.

Given that the series leans heavily on current social issues, the question is what other issues were prominent in 2022/23 when the plots were taking shape...? We'd just had Covid, and Russia was invading➡ Will this feed into the mysteries of the female characters.? We already saw the concept of Contamination in Dot & Bubble.. Could Ruby have been a banished carrier of a weird planet busting power.? Or was she the only survivor of a war/plague.? Is she engineered as the ultimate "innoculation" .? Do we know which months the story lines were being put together.?
As the 4th Dr once said, "Never guess. Unless you have to. There's enough uncertainty in the universe as it is." That is the thing with theories which can be fun as as sometimes, is that they are just that, theories, guesswork that's not necessarily fact unless proven otherwise.
@timelordvictorious it's basically a teaser clip and it shows that the wierd 'evil' version of susan twist basically means nothing. Its on the doctor who channel if u wanna see it

I unfortunately know everything in the spoilery article from word of mouth :'D Because of what they said and especially what they didn't say, I'm pretty sure I already know who the villain of the season is, unfortunately
I've stopped believing that Susan Foreman will have anything to do with this series. The increasing emphasis on Susan Twist makes the idea of a literal "Susan twist" seem kind of obvious and laboured now. I think Rusty has something more subtle in mind, and I have a feeling Mrs Flood will wind up being the more important character somehow.

i would love to see it in the cinema but it isn't near me
Given that the series leans heavily on current social issues, the question is what other issues were prominent in 2022/23 when the plots were taking shape...? We'd just had Covid, and Russia was invading➡ Will this feed into the mysteries of the female characters.? We already saw the concept of Contamination in Dot & Bubble.. Could Ruby have been a banished carrier of a weird planet busting power.? Or was she the only survivor of a war/plague.? Is she engineered as the ultimate "innoculation" .?
Do we know which months the story lines were being put together.?
Oh my god, that new preview just ruined so many theories😂😂
As the 4th Dr once said, "Never guess. Unless you have to. There's enough uncertainty in the universe as it is." That is the thing with theories which can be fun as as sometimes, is that they are just that, theories, guesswork that's not necessarily fact unless proven otherwise.
That was my exact thought after I watched it hahaha
What did the preview say
@timelordvictorious it's basically a teaser clip and it shows that the wierd 'evil' version of susan twist basically means nothing. Its on the doctor who channel if u wanna see it
Oh thought you meant the review he was talking about never mind .I know it won’t be Sutekh for sure
Good old Harriet Binger
The world Enough being spoiled was criminal. See people reacting to it that didn’t know was priceless but those of us that saw the spoiler did not have that joy.
I unfortunately know everything in the spoilery article from word of mouth :'D
Because of what they said and especially what they didn't say, I'm pretty sure I already know who the villain of the season is, unfortunately
1 Million bucks it’s River Song 👀
I’m only 5mins in lol lemme finish watching 😂
