- I altered and transformed a traditional nutcracker into a steampunk one,
using broken jewelry, beads, charms and leather.

LOL and...you just took a hammer to him! i loved the transformation- a great improvement...all those dleicious details and the jaunty hat! love it all. very inspiring line- up too :) thanks for including me in the challenge!

That nutcracker is fantastic! I love that it's perfect for the season, but it could also be displayed at any time of the year. Thank you for keeping me inspired this year. I'm working on gathering some photos now before I forget!!

I absolutely love your nutcracker. I have several different ones I picked up at yard sales etc. Different themes. They're so cool. Yours would go great in my collection. All the others were fun to see before and after.

Your steampunk nutcracker turned out wonderful! All the details go together fantastically, I particularly like his great top hat and the new colors. The face is still a little too happy but otherwise he's perfect. ❤👍 Hugs vom Tinchen

Awesome, Ina! I think he’s a steam man, a sentient, spiritual individual from The Court of the Air by Stephan Hunt. Ask Santa for this book! I 💕all that you did to make him NOT a creepy nutcracker. He’s relatable now! And, wow, the challenge participants made fascinating things. The transformations were very, very imaginative. I’m still finding things in my house I will never need. Making a box. After Xmas.
