I thought it was originally just an instrumental of Edge of Dawn, because Byleth doesn't speak, and that would have been hilarious, but the lyrics are delicious!
De hecho, byleth si habla. Solo que en los diálogos de la historia no lo hace. Fíjate en las frases que dice después de las batallas y de los ataques, tiene una voz muy linda XD
This is no coincidence. I actually named my Byleth, "Dawn," after my character from my book just to play for fun. When you think about it, the name of the song has a double meaning for Byleth.
sometimes I feel so bad for byleth because its crazy how they showed up to the monastary with the whole plan just set up, and had to watch everything crumble as it happened and doing pretty much nothing even though being the chosen one and everything
in a way that makes them a more relatable character it shows that no matter how strong we may be that things don't always play out the way we want them too and that there can be consequences to our choices/decisions. and there is even gameplay to reflect that if you choose to go that route for a playthrough where it expertly makes you think more critically about who you send out in battle cause it could come with costs etc. but also at the same time everything Byleth goes thru shapes them into a greater person because before their life at the monastery they didn't feel anything at all and had no remorse for the loss of comrades or even killing people. Jeralt even says in some cutscenes that he'd never seen them smile, laugh, or even cry until they came to Garrech Mach and was glad they chose to stay.
This is a nice spin on the original! Very unique, I love it! Makes me feel all emotional again after going through all the routes multiple times. Thanks for this.
I feel as though It's multiple point of views like Edelgard's regret and it feels mainly Byleth's view cause it references time betrays. I feel Byleth regrets that they weren't there at the right time when their Dad dies and Edelgard betrays the church. However I also think Byleth regrets that they couldn't help Edelgard and her group and they couldn't save their only family
Ame la parte donde dice "el tiempo traición" porque ella literalmente puede viajar en el tiempo pero aún así no puede evitar el destino, como paso con jeralt que, aunque viajo en el tiempo, no pudo salvarlo 😢

The moment you can taste lyrics 😨
I love the flavor of lyrics

God, this is beautiful, I wish it was the full song.
Glad we can finally confirm that the original version was Edelgard singing
I always assumed the original being from the perspective of Edelgard was a given?
Honestly this song has always been a favorite of mine but your version is just so emotional that it touches my heart 🥺. Thank you so very much 😁
Thank you for such a sweet comment!
this made me cry. thank you

The lyric changes are so good! Like god damn!!
1200 hours and this is something I wanted to hear ❤
This... Gave me chills. Beautiful voice and rewrite.

I thought the time betrays reference is because Edel is sick and can't live long
WHAT IS THIS MASTERPIECE
I love it 😻! Awesome 👏
I LOVE IT!!!
*Underrated*
The first time I listened to this, it actually did sound like Jeannie Tirado, female Byleth’s English VA, was singing this.

Do you write the lyric on your own?
Espera, esto es una ia o es voz real?
