another underrated part of their squad building is how real managed aging players. ronaldo, benzema, casemiro, varane, kroos were all sold for a big fee or retired when they are still at a high level and not declined yet. maybe except for 2018 ronaldo, their exit timings were perfect.

But with a “player’s coach” like Ancelotti, I can see this squad living up to the hype by leaving their egos at the door and focusing winning everything.

yup, people will always say its the easy club to support, but they would not know, 12, 14 years ago when Barcelona peaked and we hadnt won a UCL in 12 years since 2002 let alone get past the RO16, they wouldnt know what it meant at that time to be part of real madrid.
I remember the times when everyone made fun saying here's your historic club havent won the UCL in ages, the arch rival peaking and winning 3 UCLs during that time, it was tough, then La Decima happened, 92:48 was a moment of pure joy, my life had become complete then. Everything since then has been a bonus. All credits to Papa Perez and coaches like Carlo and Zidane who put the club above everything.

I think one unspoken contribuition to Real excelent business is having a manager that doesn't whine about the squad. Theres rarely peace in Real, last season they were absolutely plagued by injuries, but Ancelloti just did what he could with what he had and moved on, he allows Madrid to be patient and also to play the long game and build a foundation for the future.

I have been watching football since the 1970's and playing myself until early 2000's, but when you see a team play with freedom of choice it is mesmerizing, it is why it is called the beautiful game. I have admired many times teams that I do not follow and wished them well if my team was out of the competition, it is part of being a football fan and long may it continue. Sometimes it is enough to watch and admire without bias, but just for the love of the game.

Real Madrid has a clear philosophy throughout their entire history: this is a game played by a group of guys, and we want to win. Everything is based on getting the best footballers, not on some visionary with a special system where everything is mechanical and organized, and the players are no longer humans having fun, but pieces of a machine that have to be adjusted to do what the structure, the system, asks of them. At Real Madrid, everything is based on quality and commitment. That’s why the type of coach who succeeds at this club is the human resources manager type. A coach who provides a simple tactical structure to the most skilled and committed players in the world and manages their egos so that they all work in the same direction. That’s all. That’s what Miguel Muñoz did, and after him, Molowny, Del Bosque, Zidane, and Ancelotti. No further mystery or elaborate narrative. Clear, simple, honest football.

Bro search "best midfields in the world" & madrid is up there with city. Its Tchouameni's time to take over and be that talismanic holding Midfielder. But you got Valverde, Cama and Jude. Apart from Man City I can't name you a midfield that measures up, maybe Barca's, but they couldn't sign a holding Midfielder this season so I'd say there's more uncertainty there than sith Madrid. We still have to see what Marc Casado has to offer in that role, meanwhile Madrid lost Casemiro and still won the champions league with Aurelien. So calm down mate (forgot to mention Modric on the wings btw) the Real Midfield is going to be fine. But I will concede that first half against Napoli might have gone better with Toni's creativity

@@ntokozosibanyoni1421 Tchouameni was there on the fild last year too. we had Tchouameni ,Kroos, Valverde, and Bili, now we replaced Kroos with Mbape in main roster. im not saying our Midfild is weak but its weaker than last year. which will lead to more games being bad! yet adding a Star to the front line will lead to more overall Goals, so more results with high goals but less overall wins.

When he spoke about a club that is interesting to follow as a neutral … I low key related to it. I follow ManU which is not the easiest so having another club that doesn’t make me anxious/frustrated while watching + most importantly a club that wins, really alleviates all the stress that comes with following a club a like Manchester United.

I wonder for how long Barca fans are going to pretend that they can compete with Madrid this season. Literally the only question mark is whether Madrid will be able to adjust their build up phase without Kroos but you get the sense that Carlo will figure it out sooner rather than later.

Another Galactico era is coming for Real Madrid but surprisingly this time they’re doing it with a sustainable approach. Now try compare this with the City approach with more than 13 feeder clubs, Chelsea with a combination of feeder clubs as well 6 billion players already in their book or Saudi going for every veterans out there. It seems Madrid have learned a lot from the previous Galactico eras while others who wanted to have their own version of Galactico are failing in shambles.

The scariest thing is that Madrid learned from their mistakes. They have a coach who is one of the best ever, adapts to what he has, and is an excellent man manager. Then you brought a lot of young players to pair with your aging core (a core who were of the best club sides). To top it the club didn’t go and spend ridiculous money on players ( cough Barcelona cough). Granted they got lucky in getting Carlo as well as their players not being flops (cough coutinho cough).

Mbappé is going to earn more at Real Madrid than he did at PSG. The difference is that at PSG, most of his income came from the club. Now, at Real Madrid, most of the money he earns will be paid by different sponsors (and a part of that income will go to Real Madrid's coffers, to boot).

There´s a little weakness in Real´s defense, that they don´t try to fix, for some reason. Like, what if Rudiger got injured and also, those winger´s need to be upgraded at some point. This worries me for Real.
