Note on my own business: In the part about sun dials I repeatedly speak about the "shadow of the sun". Of course, I know that the sun does not cast a shadow (although one can argue about that... :D) - but the shadow caused by the sun - in this case that of the sundial's shadow rod, is meant... I admit that the wording is a bit awkward at this point.

The zodiacal signs are not about the constellations. It's about the cicle of the Sun divided in four seasons with three fases each. It has to do with agriculture, the most important human activity. That's how it all began.

Thank you for pointing this out. It's surprising that such an informed video overlooks that astrology is based on planets and seasons, not stars. It seems like a strawman when historians/astronomers cite the precession of the equinoxes as a flaw in astrology, given that Western astrology isn’t based on constellations.

Can you imagine living life fully according to celestial movements.
Like, oh the moon is just right. Time to have a bowel movement. Next Jupiter says a game of chess and after Saturn wants a battle. 😂 A wonderful day to die. 😂

My guess is the narrator is from the Phillippines. I could be wrong but hope I'm right!

Thank you for a wonderful visual explanation of the precession of the equinoxes. As a teacher of astrology, it is one of the hardest concepts for a beginner to understand. As a professional astrologer It confirms the signs of the zodiac are a backdrop to the energies of the planets in determining an outcome. The signs are the theatre, the houses are the stage and the planets are the actors upon it.

Damn, the complexity of all of this, and just as I want to better my understanding of Astrology.
And prior to watching this, I am already grappling with the conundrum of whether to concentrate on the sidereal/Vedic system or the tropical/Western system, lol.
An astronomically accurate ephemiris would be amazing, lol.
