Our 9.5 months old son is playing ball with our 2 years old bullmastiff weighing 69 kg (yes, he has lost a few kg's!). I think they are already growing up to be best friends.
thank you for showing this breed as it is in real life. A faithful and loving guardian who would never hurt a fly.
that dog was behaving really well with that baby. He didn't even care when the baby took his ball. That's a good dog!
My bullmastiff is a sweetheart just like this. They're such calm gentle dogs but God help anyone who tries to harm their family!
What a stunning dog! Your video reinforces what I have been telling loved ones& strangers, that this breed is (like the Great Dane) a gentle giant.
That dog would NEVER "snap" on this child...Mastiffs are EXTREMELY loyal and have an extremely high pain tolerance...This baby would be at way more risk with say a Chihuahua or scotty who are skid-dish and are hurt easily
You can tell the dog loves the little boy and is protective of him. So nice.
I like how the baby just brushed off the dog when he was sniffing him in the end. Kids are so natural. Good video
Bullmastiff's big guys that are just big old softies. I love mine so much and would recommend anyone to get this breed.
Thats beautiful........... great job with this dog!!!!!
I don't know about best friends but that boy's gotta be the best protected kid on the block
loved 1:21 when he put his hand on the paw.. sweetest little thing :)
Just an FYI. I have a 180 lb Bull mastiff. No drool. no slobber. Eats 3 cups a day thats it( mostly cuz he was a lil fat so doc has him on a diet). He eats half as much as my german sheppard did. The most adorable loving and calm dog in the world I will NEVER get another dog. The temperament is just incredible.
Great video my wife is due in 2 months and my Bully is 5 now I'm so excited !! Look for videos of him soon !!
a beautiful celebration of humanity and dogkind. thanx for sharing with us. dogs truly are "man's best friend"
That's a small bullmastiff! But adorable, none-the-less. Really well tempered. My little sister was born when our bullmastiff was about 1 or so, and she was very, VERY protective around her when our other dogs were around (g. shepard mix and boxer). It was really good that she could play with all of them, though. Now we've still got our faithful 11 year old shepard mix and an English and French mastiff!
Cute kid, btw.
he's beautiful. and i know for a fact that baby is in good hands with a bullmastiff. they are extremely protective, especialy of children.
Great video! Bullmastiffs are the best breed around. We have an 8 month old, and have a friend who breeds them. They are wonderful, loving giants who love kids.
omg this video is super cute. It's amazing how well behaved some well trained and raised dogs can be around babies and children. Even when they are big and atimidating such as this nice dog. Alot of people say dogs can be more protective around children and babies than their very own owners.
I have a dark brindle bullmastiff and he has never once bitten, or even growled at any of my family (inc kids of young age). Intelligent and playful, they are bulky and clumsy but never aggressive. The most amazing dogs....
What a gorgeous, gentle dog you have.!
Your BullMastiff is beautiful! I love these dogs, they are so gentle and affectionate.
beautiful bullmastiff i had a female for 3 years but i ran out of time and room for it with the kids coming along so i gave it away to a better home, i'm still sad about it and that was over 1 year ago, they are big gentle giants and will always be my favourite dog : ) 5 stars
That is a stunningly beautiful Mastiff!
Bullmastiffs have a great temperament and they're great around kids. However, with all dogs, their behavior reflects their master. Nice master = nice dog... loving master= loving dog. Plus it helps when your pup comes from a good line! As long as you supervise..I think it's great that your pup and your baby are becoming friends!
Aw reminds me of my old Bullmastiff, the mannerisms are exactly the same!
he is so relaxed. nice character
I have several english mastiffs and I have to say that the most dangerous thing on them is their tail! When they wag it (and they do it often) it is like being beat with a rubber hose! LOL! My dogs know no strangers and love everyone they come into contact with!
what a great dog, my german shepherd is so great with kids. My nephew came over and was pulling her ears and trying to ride her and she didn't even flinch
they are big and intimidating, but they are still full of love.
Although he seemed to not wanna play ball lol.,, I couldn't help but love the relationship and understanding. NiceVideo
Bullmastiffs can run for several hours in a row. They are not too big and there will be no wear on the bones and joints if you train your dog from the very first day, and give him good nutrition, that aids the development of joints. It is an urban myth that they are slow, I have a history of owning bullmastiffs. This dog was bread to be a territory guard dog. This means they have to be quick and cover a lot of territory. PS: your dog is gorgeous! :)
just like my bullmastiff. most patient dog ever
so big
so gentle
so beautiful
animals make life easier
How beautiful and gentle! And to think that some people get rid of their dogs when they have a baby. That's just selfish and cruel!
That is one of THEE most special vids on RUclips....BRILLIANT !!!
Bull Mastiffs are so adorable!!!!!!!!!!!
Dogs gonna snap, this is how babies die. No this is how dogs that are cared for properly like family members act. This little guy is one of the safest in the world with his bodyguard close by. People casting unwanted concerns and trying to get other people afraid like yourself is the real problem. mind your own business
I am looking for a mastiff, and this has convinced me that I have to get one, now.
What a beautiful family.
I have a Boxer Bull mastiff. I can really see the bullmastiff in him after watching this video. He has the bullmastiff temperment with a little added goofy spaz(boxer) He is almost 12 now and has been the best dog. I think I would like to get a ful bull next time.
yes, they can chew when they're eating, but actual biting was considered undesirable for liability reasons. They are also very slow to bark as well but love to wrestle and be physical with their bodies.
WOW What a fantastic dog, my girlfriend and myself went to see one just like him today, I was looking for a German Shepherd but we saw 'Dillon' and we fell in love, we pick him up at the weekend and I cant wait to make him part of the family. Great vid, Im gonna post one of Dillon soon.
i just wanna hug that dog.
everything I've heard from breeders is that they are generally excellent with kids. Like Pythoneer said, you obviously still have to watch them though.
Both of your boys are Handsome!
AWesome owners!! That is a properly socialized dog!!
Beautiful boysl
Thats a beautiful Bully!
He is beautiful!
beautiful dog! his fur is amazing
Your kid is a natural with dogs! Look at the part 1.30 mins in, the way he just pushes the dogs head away is exactly how you claim space from your dog! ie. your kid is showing the dog that he is pack leader :)
That is a beautiful dog you have there.
beatifull video bullmastiff beatifull dog...hail from chile.
Beutiful dog, I wish I had room for one more dog. They sure beat people!
aaw they ar e so adorable together !! i love it so cute, i bet they will grow up close and attached to eachother ;-)
Wow That Dog Is Kind :D I Want One Just Like It
I was so afraid that the dog was going to eat him. Bullmastiffs rock! If only there was a bull german shepherd
My son would literally sit on my BM's head and bounce up and down when he was just learning to crawl and such. Only thing Duke would do is maybe get up and go to the other side of the room...and of course my son would follow. LOL
The way that dogo looks at the camera when the baby takes his ball is EPIC......I was rolling
dangerous only to anyone who intends harm to his pack. THis is obviously a dog that respects humans and was well socialized. cute kid too, i like how he pushed the dogs head so confidently - gonna make a good pack leader himself one day!
great behavior props to you and your beautiful family
positive training all the way
This is so cute, the dog is wonderful with the baby, the ball? LOL you mean whats left of it.
at 00: 53 the mastiff is like "Whach you lookin at fool!"
i love this video i wish there was audio!
Bullmastiff: *sniff sniff*
Baby: No Sniff!!!! *push*
Nice looking Bullmastiff with a very nice temperament . Do you have any new video of the two of them today.
Handsome Dog.
My first Bullmastiff my son would sit on his head when he was learning to walk and bounce up and down on his head till he got annoyed then he'd get up and go to the other side of the room which my son crawled after. Also when my son was cutting his teeth for some reason he thought my Bullmastiffs flews were something to chew on...and he'd sit there and just whimper slightly...poor guy.
... on including one in your family, please do your homework first. then REALISTICALLY assess your ability to raise, train, and love one of these beautiful, loving and wonderful beasts.
He looks exactly like mine ö love these dogs
1:31...leave me alone...:D
Amazing dog!
your dog is one of nicest ive seen!
I Want one.
i have a Pedagree Black Lab.
i've got two bullmasiffs, both 10st, 140lbs each. they are like two giant soft babys, never even growled at anyone, but, i would never let a baby near them, i'm 99.9999999% sure they'd never do anything bad but, there's always that 000.1% chance, sometimes dogs just flip and nobody knows why.
What a gorgeous dog!
What a cute pair! I love your pictures on Flickr too. Ludvig is just beautiful. It makes me want to have a baby to play with my bullmastiff, he is a softy too. If you don't mind me asking what breeder is he from?
oh thats super sweet... sweet dog sweet kid sweet video theyre cute
Biting was bred out of bullmastiffs hundreds of years ago and I defy anyone to find me a single instance of one attacking a human. Just because they have a certain look, some ignorant "people" like jimmylovesc piss their pants without thinking. And a bullmastiff is its own breed, but is basically an English bulldog mixed with and English mastiff.
so cute this dog i love him!!
ive always wanted one of these dogs. But my dad has now got an american bulldog and they are also very big dogs. They also fight every breed of dog going if they are male! haha so we couldnt risk the fighting!! But i deffo want one in the future! x
So nice. A really beautiful looking dog. It doesn´t seems so but a bullmastiff is the best dog for crowing children;) We get a Bullmastiff, when I was 6 years old and it was a great experience. Our dog looked similar. From what for a family do you get him???
Greetings
Greddy
AAAAAhaha I love how the kid is trying to chew the ball too. This is cute XD
Fantastico. Bullmastiff superdog.
very gentle dog..
could'nt of said it better my self i have a rotty pup and my brother has a dobie pup of which both are going to dog training classes my rotty has already started and its my brothers first time tomorrow with his dobie.
my advice is that if you want a good dog then train it well!.
bull mastiffs are so lazy and kind and cute, but if their owner is attacked, they turn into the HULK DOG!!!! And then they go berzerk.
All in all, bull mastiffs are pretty damn good dogs, and I know that from about 6 years of experience
From last reports the baby still is not inside the dogs stomach and is alive and well. Idiots making comments without any information. Its better to let people think your stupid than to prove it by opening your pie holes. I guess some people never had a dog or could not be responsible owners to raise one properly. Any dog that is loved and cared for will die defending its family, especially the baby. Most babies die from bad parents not from bad dogs. Bad dogs come from bad owners.
I have seen babies cause significant pain to a big dog, pull their ears, try to touch their eyes, grab their tail, paws, anything... even bite the dog with the dog only roll over or walk away in response. Oddly enough that is what a puppy will do to its parent. I think dogs know they are babies and tolerate them like puppies.
So cute=)
ADORABLE
Nice dog
GREAT VIDEO !!! THE BEST,
@Pythoneer
very true there hunting dogs meant for large game. also very loyal dogs good for families and children wouldn't see it as a threat
Thats sweet, most dogs wont let a baby take its ball lol!!!
At 1:30 your boy pushes the dog's head back. That's really funny!
@Pythoneer i have heard of it . they are a very large breed . equal to the size of english mastiff .they are very BIG. height > 32"
i think u guys r talking about a king shepherd.. they r exactly like german shepherd jst bigger
looks like the ball is no longer a sphere
Lovely vid!
Where did you get your Mastiff from he is beautiful!
i have a bullmastiff she is really small and she is like 3 yrs old
Totally agree with you on that one!!!!
This is a perfect example of "How to raise a Family......"
The Boy & Dog are now brothers...........Only one is a 140lbs of drool..............LOL
