@@munschracing46 thank you for that. The other part of the story is that I took my new wife who had never been to the races before. She loved everything about it. From the other fans to the great announcers, the spirit of the sport. Just the whole package. Saturday I took 7 more people. Some their first time and my kids not for 20 years. It was a wonderful experience and plans to do it next year with everyone on Friday under the lights. The jet cars were an added bonus!

THE LAST TIME I WENT THERE WERE 80 AA/TF FUNNY CARS & DRAGSTERS.The U.S. Nationals is The Grandaddy of Them All. Shirley Muldowney said "Everybody Who's Anybody is at Indy on Labor Day." I like the Qualifying Sessions -OR- Time Trials way more than the Finals, and they have plenty of them. But the Best Best Best is Evening Time Trials Friday Saturday and Sunday Evening. During Really Good Year's They Didn't Get Done Until Midnight. What A Show!!

I had a neighbor that tubed out a 72 Vega, and the walls in his garage were burnt black for him tuning the car before every race, he pulled high 7's
