Hi Mama B.!!! I would try that cream. I haven't used some of my cast -iron in a while. I do have a few non-stick ones I bought from Chef Zakarian on QVC . They cook pretty good.Thanks for this video...Nice Video!!!...🦋

so i live in Cincinnati grew up on it.. we have several name brand institutions here in town that are all cincinnati chili.. i make my own (with a packet) it has chocolate and cinnamon in it.. and you eat it as a Coney on a bun add hotdog with cheese.. mustard and onion if you want... or .. as a 3,4,5 way... over spagetti with shredded cheddar cheese, can add beans, can add onions.. all with shredded cheddar and oyster crackers.. or any kind of cracker but in the restaurants they serve with oyster crackers... that is how you cincinnati chili it lol
I have always cooked my eggs on low. I turn on the burner (about 1/3 of high) and let it come up gradually until the handle gets warm. Then add my butter, then room temp egg. I don't like my eggs to have any brown on them whatsoever but I know a lot of people do. I'm team 'No brown apron around the outside".
Do you do that method on cast iron? I agree on the no brown on them!
@@mamabairds absolutely! I only cook eggs in cast iron and the best way for me to test seasoning is making eggs. The secret for me is COMPLETELY preheating on low until the HANDLE gets WARM, not hot. I don't have a problem with scrambled eggs leaving a crusty residue behind either. If I drop the eggs and it sizzles right away, it's too hot. It should just start to turn milky white. My sis can't make eggs in cast iron because she's too impatient to wait for it to preheat so she starts her pan on medium.

Hi Mama Baird! I was wondering; why did you flip the pan over?
If there are any drips of oil in the pan, it will harden and make it splotchy. That's why you want to rub it on, then rub it all off. Turn it upside down and bake. I always put foil on the rack below just in case any drips out.
