The Philippines would truly be paradise without corrupt politicians.
True ,as african that living in philippines, this country will be one day the leader of Asia
Theres always corruption in every country even in the US and Europe. Why can’t you just be happy that your country Philippines is finally starting to develop??
All politicians are corrupt, whether they are Filipino or not. There are worst politicians outside PH. We just happened to be controlled by other nations (such as your idol, the US) that is why we compromise a lot leading to corruption. If a politician refuse to be controlled, they will be marred by the MSM, even calling them corrupt. So this concept of corrupt PH is just made up by the MSM, and YOU are indoctrinated by this idea.
Without corrupt politicians? lol start with your selves, One of the reasons why Philippines still considered as third world because of Undisciplined Filipino agree with your Statement about corruption but still that's just one of the reasons
3 rd World because of corruption officials!!!! almost all public officials are corrupt!!!!
In whatever descriptions and captions for the Phillipines yet still no nation can beat the friendliness and hospitality of the Filipino people....thank you for uplifting the image of the Philippines fren...good luck to your stay ...take care!

Philippine friendliness is a cap. Filipinos are just friendly to foreigners because either they want their money or their seed. Nothing special about that 3rd world backward country.
Thailand can :)
Me and my husband are already retired in US. Our income is more than enough to live in the Philippines. The development in the Philippines is too fast. We are planning to buy condo unit in the City and construct a vacation home in the province where we can find helpers to take care of us. US is too expensive for Seniors right now. Philippines is not third world anymore, the GDP in that Country is leading in South east Asia.
Philippines is a good choice for you to retire. Filipinos don't discriminate race, age and status. Be friendly to the locals and they'll retaliate hundredfold
My advice for you and your sweet senior husband is to get him Philhealth first thing in philipinese then to have 10,000 US dollars 💵 untouched for medical emergency, in Philippines the medical care system has skin tax in place, your husband most like will be overcharged for every thing , if you manage to fly your husband out of Philippines to either Guwam or Vietnam, you will save 80% of what would you pay in philipinese for health care plus he will be treated in far better facilities than the one in Philippines, the medicen in Philippines is Crazy expensive, bring at least 3 months supply, in Philippines they really humiliate those who can’t afford their medical bills such as tie them to the bed and confiscate their passports and seized their assets , I am talking from experience, take care and God bless .
@@denvergalut7559 nope. Philippines is one of the most racist people I know. They're only friendly to white folks primarily
Philippines GDP is fastest growing but not leading, better to buy many things before it becomes expensive

in my opinion a Developing country would be a fair Description but not the 3rd world Country anymore that media has described the Philippines.
"third world" has been a very misused term... It really just originated from the world war, and third world just means any country that's not the allies or the axis. Germany isn't even "first world" in that definition.
"Developing country", as you say, is the correct economic descriptor. Poverty is in any country, at different levels and in different forms. So, honestly... Calling it in the classical "third world" which most people really mean is "under developed" like really really poor economically, is not even correct for the Philippines anymore.

A more proper way to say it instead of calling it as a developing nation is that it’s an ‘emerging country’ or a country that’s slowly transitioning to a rapid global market.
Hey Man! You’ve hit the nail right in the head. Was just thinking about this a moment ago. I feel that the Phils isnt a third world country anymore but no one wants to talk about it. I know we have rural areas, homeless people, shanties and stuff but what country doesnt have em?? We’ve definitely come a long long way. Go around and look for yourself. We have tons of cars on the road, malls are packed on the weekends, contruction of condos practically on every corner of the city. So cmon! Tell me, are we really still 3rd world?
Yeah!!! Manyforeigners call my country "third world" country. A third word country, with the biggest arena inthe world, withthe biggest Ikea store in the world, couples of big malls in the world etc. Whatever you call it , I'm still very, very proud of my country.

You obviously don't understand what 3rd world mean. It means high poverty rates (lots of manila/cebu slums), low GDP per capita. Philippines GDP per capita is only 3000 while one of 1st world like USA is 70000. Japan 33000.

No matter how much foreign people call us... We love our beloved country Philippines ❤
Yes unlike ASEAN neighbors who aren't as rich as Singapore but look down to the Philippines and call their country rich
So well spoken!
BGC shouldn't be the Main basis of "being developed" as what described by foreigners. It's a small city in Manila, they don't showcase Filipino Culture ,restaurants and Cafe came from Western Influences, Italian Pasta ? Wolfgang Steak ? Ramen ? Where 's the filipino Spirit ?come on man .
Business owned by Foreign Corporations most of them at least . . It Is is created for " Consumerism " and Foreign Infrastructures which mostly foreign expats can benefit but Locals Can't even afford to live there (too expensive). Giving job to manilenos yes of course but Don't Say it represent Philippines because it's NOT .
Go to Province ,Cebu ,Davao, Siquijor ,Palawan,Ilocos,Mindanao ,Batangas etc. They represent Filipino Culture .
Observe the Way of living of locals this is where you measure if its developing or struggling .
Many parts of provinces has slow internet which is basic commodity of modern living nowadays . You get that in BGC but they don't cater to serve that in many Local Provinces. If everything makes sense .
Chill, our provinces have been developing rapidly in the past 5 years. Yes plenty of room for improvements but it can get better if we continue every worthy project that's been started
isnt davao improving alot now? i have seen pics of a very bgc-esque place from there with underground electrical wirings and stuff.
A huge chunk of the population still lives under the poverty line. BGC is not indicative of what the Philippines as a whole is.
Awesome Brian ! --- My small budget isn't quite enough for BGC - as a US expat - alone & looking for a comfortable place to retire over there. $600 for rent is much too close to 40% of my budget - not recommended or desirable ? > Whereas -- $320 for a fully furnished studio in Eastwood City suits my budget much better @ 20% !!! 🤔 A bit less chaotic for me as an old man - but still has everything needed for comfort - in a smaller space ? 🤗 Yet -- BGC is but 5 miles away (?) certainly close enough for some visits anytime ?!? - - - ALL of 'this' really puts the US to shame now in most places of the country. Even Las Vegas has a significant homeless issue and safety concerns at night -- while the prices are very high now ! - - - You are 100% correct in your perceptions (!) -- so simply enjoy it !!!

I know many channels are dedicated to hate and slander of the Philippines, and most of them have just overrated portrayal of our negatives like "Philippines is like 100 years behind Thailand", "Philippines is probably the poorest ASEAN country if WW2 didn't happen", "Filipinas only want your money", "Philippines is for poor tourists", etc. Things that make us laugh cinsidering these people have no idea how it's like to live here. Not a paradise for now economically, but generally improving and has tons of natural wonders.
The philippines is NOT a poor country. What the PH has is a poverty problem. There is a very huge discrepancy between poor and rich. The rise of the middle class alleviates this but it won't be enough until the nation's growth will be inclusive. The problem is even if the the GDP is one of the fastest growing worldwide, the benefits are not felt by the people living at the bottom of society. So while the PH is not a poor country by any means, it certainly has a glaring "poverty" problem.
that's why the Philippines is a poor country because of poverty problem😂😂😂
Yeah 15% of Filipino are below Poverty line. That's alot. Good thing is the fertility rate is declining.
Don’t you think the poverty problem has a lot to do with poverty stricken people exponentially reproducing an expanding poverty rate by procreating in the process of having unprotected sex with a government doesn’t seem to care about providing free condoms just to keep the poverty rate down. I mean, if you’re in poverty and you also produce three children, you’re all the more in poverty because you can’t really afford those three children . Just look at the Filipino illegitimacy birth rate.. it’s skyrocketing which keeps poverty stricken girls in poverty trying to make ends meet with their Filipino ethics on pamilya .

I love how you narrate things about the Philippines while just walking around in BGC.
My family migrated to the United States last year. When I tell people about it, the most common question I get is "Why didn't you go with them?". I always tell them that I find it hard to convince myself to move to the United States, when our american friends come to the Philippines and 9/10 of them, find it hard to leave and if possible would like to live and retire here. So again, why should I go to the United States, where I'd get discrimination?
bs. it depends on what state you live in, there is almost no discrimination against filipinos in california. my aunt, uncle, paternal grandparents, cousins, other aunt, etc all live there in california as filipinos yet have never faced any real discrimination from the americans there.
Discrimination is everywhere in the world , sometimes it is used for division and propaganda . use Racism to make people turn on each other.
I totally agree western view, I too had a preconception of what this country was going to be like and to be honest I also live in what is supposed to be a first world country namely New Zealand and I was shocked at how modern Cebu and manila are actually in some ways better, not perfect but far from third world in my view. Yeah like makati city? Eastwood city? Asiana City? Rockwell … ALABANG town center @ayala alabang, century city? The new bridge town? SURE!
Eto utak bobo...
Mahirap Kasi tamad katulad mo..3rd world thinking...
Every city has or will have a BGC like development , mostly Bulacan, Pampanga, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna etc. if you don’t know this then you better improve your of stock knowledge

Makati and BGC are the first world, while the rest of the Philippines are underworld.
Exactly the same thing I repeatedly saying to people we meet on our travels--- be Filipino Stand tall as Filipino. I've been to 60 countries and nothing like Filipinos.
Your channel is amazing bro! I'm in..
Not a third world, Philippines is more rich country
Terms like "third world" are so archaic. I just laugh at people who still say them. And while I nonetheless see where they're coming from, I also see that it's all born out of sheer ignorance. They only ever need to read up and educate themselves.
So what if it's archaic?
@@iStrygwyr It's inappropriate, subjective, confusing and almost meaningless in modern conversations.
@@iStrygwyr It's like lumping China and Afghanistan in the same category and calling them "equal".
I don't know what to say I got so emotion but thank you Brian and God bless you. Hope you're channel grows bigger.
itagalog mo na lang kasi kakahiya pag mali grammar
Wowww very well said, thank u so much
A country full of billionaires…. Billionaire politicians 😢 i love my philippines especially us people. Except for these politicans. 😢
Thank you for sharing this truth ⭐️
Thank you for all that you do 🌻
More power and God bless 🙏💖🙏
According to The Philippines truths/Facts vlogger, the Philippines will always be a Third World Country. I totally disagree with this negative vlogger.
Philippines is a developing country. Im sure here in the Philippines there are some area that extremely poor and living in poverty but i have been to the United States and i have seen poverty’s in big cities. There are over 100k homeless people in New York living in poverty.
@@stevem437 pumunta ka sa Indonesia, doon makikita mo na pareho ang Indonesia at pilipinas, bakit sinasabi nila na mayaman ang Indonesia kaysa pilipinas ito ay isang kasinungalingan!...
@@BoboyPC2247 Ok? No one is under the impression that Indonesia is some amazing place either. Not sure why that comparison is even being made? Thailand is doing better. Malaysia is doing better. Vietnam is doing better. Singapore is doing WAY better. Almost all SE Asian neighbors are way ahead of the Philippines.
@@stevem437 i was born and raised in the Philippines. Manila is one of the densely populated places in the world. People lived in cramped and compact housing unit but there are a lot of nicer and safer places in Metro Manila also. I used to work in BGC at night. Walking late at night is a lot safer than any cities in USA
