My Italian mom has an amusing story while she was doing charity work in the Philippines. To prove that all Filipinos can sing, she was asked by a local teacher to pick any student at random. My mom picked three kids walking along the corridor (2 girls, 1 boy). The teacher asked them to sing any song of their choice in front of my mom. After some practice humming the three kids, who didn't know each other, sang a beautiful hymn complete with alternating tenor and soprano voices. My mom, a trained opera singer, was completely speechless. She was floored😃
One of my fondest memories when I was studying in the Philippines is when there are no teacher around, a random classmate of mine either sings, plays a music or strings a guitar, all of us just sing along and it gets into a full blown jamming session (while still doing our own thing/task).
it's an average event when the teacher is gone in my 10th grade we have like 2 guitar 2 ukulele and a bit box then it's a full in room concert while doing our own homeworks
We were all doing a task on freehand , one of started humming "I want it that way". Guess what happened. The entire song. Those bits and pieces are treasures that keep me going.
Growing up here in PH, I was so used to a whole crowd singing in unison and harmonizing that I wasn’t aware that it’s not just a normal thing elsewhere. I thought this is what any kind of crowd sounds like anywhere in the world.
RM of BTS once said that "in the Philippines, you don't have to sing for them, they will sing for you." It's often a joke that Filipinos would pay to go to a concert, not to watch the artist, but to sing for the artist. 😂 Kidding aside though, I have been smiling while watchinh the whole video. Filipinos love to sing anytime, anywhere. In school, in church, at home, during a timeout at a sporting event, at work, on the street, literally anywhere. It's our simple, inexpensive way to express and entertain ourselves.

Contrary to popular belief, not all Filipinos can sing but the ones that can't can still play an instrument or dance. 100% of Filipinos have some type of musical talent.
maybe im not a filipino then😂 I cant sing and I cant play any instrument how sad😢 but my whole family has good voice and can play guitar .. maybe my parents adopted me.

It was so picturesque, the crowd harmonizing, the perfect weather. Ugh what a night! And I haven’t even started with Ed’s performance 🥹💚
Artisits come to the Philippines to be serenaded by Filipinos with their own song.😂 Seriously, that is the Filipino's love language & appreciation, singing along .🥰
i always say this. if you're an musician or singer/ artist, your goal should be to make a song that the filipinos will sing in a karaoke. they will immortalize it, your song will live on in many many generations to come! :)
Lol, it will be played on full blast by the jeepney and tricycle drivers for everyone to hear. I think that's another way Filipinos end up remembering the lyrics. There's music almost everywhere. The only places I've been that didn't have that were the high-end places where the rich and famous live.
It is safe to assume that an artist cannot claim to be an international artist unless they have this pinoy concert experience where the crowd harmonizes with the artist. ❤❤❤❤❤
I am Filipino, and I grew up in a house where music played from the stereo from morning until night. It was only turned off when we watched TV. As a child, that kind of environment became normal for me until I became an adult. That’s why, with music playing daily and so often from the stereo, almost every song sounds familiar and is easy to sing in case I need to.
Same experience. When I was 7 years old and our family moved next door to my grandparents and uncles in the early 60's, I was introduced to the music of that era which I came to love and know by heart because my uncles loved to play those songs for hours on their stereo, either early in the morning on weekends when I would wake up to the sound of the Cascades' Rythm of the Falling Rain or The Last Leaf or during the late afternoons or early evenings before dinner sitting at their sala listening to the songs of Patti Cline and Connie Francis. Those were the happiest and most unforgettable moments of my childhood that influenced my appreciation for music as part of my life to this day.
As a Filipino living in PH, in our country Filipinos love music they love to sing, dance,do karaoke and party everyday with music, It gives them happiness from negative times and gives them the positive vibes
Yeah, I could say Philippines has the best crowd on concerts that's why many artist love the Philippine crowd. Like what BTS said, they don't need to sing during performances because the crowd sings for them even if it's Korean. And you're right Filipinos are good singers. Thank you❤

I randomly found this video and oh my - I love love love this! I’m Filipina living on Maui. This is a lovely compilation. I watched until the end. I’m part of the 1% Filipinos who can’t sing (or sing out of tune) 😂 - but I still love to sing 😂 - Thank you for this feature and for your kind words about the Filipino Crowds singing. ❤
The energy of Filipino crowds at concerts is unbelievable! When Filipinos sing along, it’s like the entire venue turns into one massive karaoke party! You can really feel the passion and love for the music, and the voices are so strong-nonstop hype! It’s goosebumps-inducing, especially when everyone sings together. It makes you proud to be part of such a crowd.
The four guys singing Stand By Me are on a stage somewhere in Abu Dhabi, if am not mistaken, before an audience of largely Filipino OFWs who hijacked the chorus by singing the Tagalog parody called Banyo Queen (Toilet Queen) popularized by Filipinos during karaoke drinking sessions and they are laughing because the lyrics contain toilet humor.
Filipino mamas started introducing us to music while we were still in the womb. That's why we all love to sing, which makes us a great concert audience. We jam with the artist.
this bit is easy, it's in English. Try listening to a crowd on a KPop concert, and they harmonize in Korean, a language we don't speak on the daily?! I'm always mind-blown. I always get goosebumps!
if the artist has an organized fan groups in the country, they can arrange it I think on twitter or something. They'll explain when the fans are allowed to belt crazy loud. that's it. no dry run just instructions.

The fact that they're even in sync with the singers proves that their song is famous or well known in Philippines that also tells us how they idolized the one singing it. Proves how their songs where loved by Filipino crowd👏👏👏👏👏
Filipinos learn the songs by heart. Even adlibs are important so during simple get togethers, we jam with music and do the same thing and it just gets better when you it in a concert. People can go to different concerts with different genres of music but can still sing along.

I'm Pilipino,,and i know how to sing,, Singing in the Philippines is just Ordinary Habit here in my Country,,thats why Foreign Artis Happy here to CONCERT cuz Pilipino Can Sing...❤️❤️❤️
10:57 what I can deduce happened here is that most of the crowd got *locked in* while singing that when Harry Styles stopped they just continued on, you can faintly hear about 20-15% of the crowd go a little quiet for a moment but like a domino effect, when they heard the majority continue to sing they rejoined and continued too
Bruno was such a sensation here, from the north to the south you could hear his music alll over the radios, the kareokes, jeeps and all that, his songs are beautiful and basically what a generation listened to and still do.
I was waiting for the “APOLOGIZE” song of OneRepublic live in Manila 2023. It was also insane how the crowd was as able to get the different notes assigned to them.
in the Philippines, 40% of the time there is a concert, the artist is the crowd and the crowd is the artist. it brings a tear in my eyes to see my fellow Filipinos 😢
Philippines loves music so much, no matter what kind of genre that is, any artists that will come here, there’s always a fan and majority of Filipinos know how to sing.
Bruno Mars is half-Filipino (mother is Filipina). Olivia Rodrigo is 1/4 Filipina. Just FYI. When the audience sang to the tune of "Stand By Me", they sang a Filipino novelty version of the song. FYI.
I have watched most of your videos about Ph. And I think the reason why we love you is because your reactions are so genuine! You are welcome here and to enjoy the beauty of the Ph.

Filipinos love singing so much. Even when you join a worship service in a Christian church in the Philippines, you will be amazed too. In my church, we start by singing praise songs with the band, in the middle we have the choir singing (apart from that we sing hymns too) and the congregation then sings the sevenfold amen after the closing prayer-you will hear all the soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts. 😆😄
18:18 the artists were singing their own song, and the crowd instead sang a filipino ver/cover of that song. that's why the band was confused and entertained at the same time because the crowd was singing the same song, just with a different set of lyrics 😂
I’m a Filipino. I can attest that Filipino are crazy talented with the arts-singing and dancing. I missed out on the gene pool. The ones like me became the healers of the world as nurses as the number 1 Philippine export.
18:01 song is a foreign singers who sung the music "stand by me" however Filipinos sing with them in the a Filipino "Banyo Queen" tune sung by Filipino artist Andrew E. Banyo Queen means Closet queen.
🥰🥰🥰Crowd singing - we had extensive training since elementary singing in unison the Philippine National Anthem outside on the court. Even when it's raining we're inside each classroom singing in unison.
Thank u so much for all your nice and good comments about about us filipino crowds..filipino can really sing and can communicate to every nations through music.
Those two videos about the Cowboy and the one next to it. Filipinos made their own cover of it, thats why theyre laughing because the lyrics theyre singing is actually funny. And the Banyo Queen is a tagalog rap song by ANdrew E. thats why he's asking " what are u singing, but i like it" hahahaha And yes Filipinos has the best crowd I couldnt even pick a favorite clip I guess the Olivia Rodrigo ones... coz its recent. and the Cold Play and Zed. :) but dammmmnnn all of these gave me goosebumps ngl..
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your insightful reviews and the way you highlight how Filipinos connect with music. I respect you Sam. Please stay the same.
Watched GiGi De Lana in Sydney with a few thousand PH It was the first time that the entire theatre was as one voice in tune and they all knew the lyrics and were able to keep the tune.
I attended Harry's LOT concert and looking back at the concert videos I took , we were really loud but sounded heavenly! The Sign of the Times really was a special moment.
Collective emotions, it's very powerful. Imagine thousands and thousands of fans sings and harmonize and the artist itself received it full blown, no wonder they get emotional.
12:09 The title of the song is “You Are The Reason” and Morissette did a duet cover of this song so beautifully, it’s a crime for you to skip that performance. Please watch it.
I watch your clip about the Filipinos, thanks for being kind, actually all fellows Filipino really like to sing, local and international songs..it's a habit of everyone, specially when it comes have a problem or happy moments Filipino sings very well.. Filipino fans they like to memorize the lyrics of the songs of their stars they like.
including the adlibs and the backend vocal!! lol
@@KukaiiiiTrue😊
So true. Older or especially generations from 90’s used to buy a lyric book or even just write the lyrics of the song so they could memorize it 🤣
once or twice to hear its already done.
Im so proud to be a Filipino and i love all the celebrities in America! ❤❤ Being a Filipino is full of energy and im happy about that 🫶 (MABUHAY!)
Bruno Mars, Olivia Rodrigo is Half Filipino so they are well loved and support them👑😍🇵🇭 because there's English Songs that's is interpreted in Tagalog song or make it a Novelty Song or kinda Funny Wholesome version😍👍
when i think of novelty song i think of da coconut nut 🤣🤣
I'm Pilipino,,and i know how to sing,, Singing in the Philippines is just Ordinary Habit here in my Country,,thats why Foreign Artis Happy here to CONCERT cuz Pilipino Can Sing...❤️❤️❤️
We filipinos are the loudest crowd and the most dedicated ones..😊😊😊
Every Filipino love to sing…nakakatuwang pakinggan at nakaka proud😂😂😂😂
"Stand by me" and "Banyo Queen" Never thought that it would mix well
in the Philippines, 40% of the time there is a concert, the artist is the crowd and the crowd is the artist.
it brings a tear in my eyes to see my fellow Filipinos 😢
❤❤❤
singing along with the artist is proof that we like their songs enough that we've got it memorized. Its also our way of showing that we are true fans.
4:06 I went to the Olivia Rodrigo concert and I can confirm that the crowd was amazing
Maybe your sleeping😂😂😂
Philippines loves music so much, no matter what kind of genre that is, any artists that will come here, there’s always a fan and majority of Filipinos know how to sing.
Thank u for capturing my video "Filipino is the best crowd in the world" ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 God bless
Bruno Mars is half-Filipino (mother is Filipina). Olivia Rodrigo is 1/4 Filipina. Just FYI.
When the audience sang to the tune of "Stand By Me", they sang a Filipino novelty version of the song. FYI.
I believe Olivia is also half Filipino. Her dad’s Filipino. ☺️
@@リア花子her Lolo is the pure fil who migrated to the US.
Olivia is half filo. Her father is pure Filo from a pure filo parents.
Oh, you're right, Olivia is also half-Filipino.
I have watched most of your videos about Ph. And I think the reason why we love you is because your reactions are so genuine! You are welcome here and to enjoy the beauty of the Ph.
You get two simultaneously concerts for the price of one in the Philippines' best fans supporters great reaction 👏👌
I’m proud to be one of the audience singing along with Olivia and Bruno 😊
Bruno mars knows it! Cause he’s half filipino🇵🇭
Yea, one Filipino can sing like that, how much more with a multitude of them there singing at the top of their voices!❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Almost in Filipino homes there is a karaoke and these songs are in it thats why we Filipinos are familiar of the lyrics of these songs,,,,Its one of the reasons why they sang it in concerts,,,,singing in almost all occasions ,,,,,we love music
Almost Filipino homes daw ?

Bruno Mars, Olivia Rodrigo, etc. have Filipino Blood Roots.. We 100% Proudly Support individuals of Filipino Bloodline.. 🇵🇭💖
Yes, we do harmonize and sing the adlib stop during concerts. 😅
I think that’s Moffats?
It's basically a parody named Banyo (toilet) Queen.
Filipinos are very talented thank you for recognizing us💕
I’m a Filipino. I can attest that Filipino are crazy talented with the arts-singing and dancing. I missed out on the gene pool. The ones like me became the healers of the world as nurses as the number 1 Philippine export.
why do you compliment but adding crazy word, well if you are crazy then its not me..even if westerners are using that word you immitater.
😆
What theee.... They all soud like angels especially with Olivia's concerts 😮
Mr SammyCam, Callum Scott is British who first emerged as a singer when he join the X- Factor UK few years back.
Yeah the national anthem is a relatively hard song to sing
Oh my gosh, every single one of those videos gave me goosebumps! Proud to be a Filipino. 🇵🇭 #PinoyPride #Goosebumps
That's the original singer and the Filipino audience were making their own lyrics with the same beat, thats pure talent.
Filipinos love music so much, its on our heart and soul. We express our feelings through music even our culture and tradition.
That’s what you get when you grew up with Regine Velasquez music.
😂😂😂😂
Thank u so much for all your nice and good comments about about us filipino crowds..filipino can really sing and can communicate to every nations through music.
Those two videos about the Cowboy and the one next to it. Filipinos made their own cover of it, thats why theyre laughing because the lyrics theyre singing is actually funny. And the Banyo Queen is a tagalog rap song by ANdrew E. thats why he's asking " what are u singing, but i like it" hahahaha
And yes Filipinos has the best crowd I couldnt even pick a favorite clip I guess the Olivia Rodrigo ones... coz its recent. and the Cold Play and Zed. :) but dammmmnnn all of these gave me goosebumps ngl..
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your insightful reviews and the way you highlight how Filipinos connect with music. I respect you Sam. Please stay the same.
Watched GiGi De Lana in Sydney with a few thousand PH It was the first time that the entire theatre was as one voice in tune and they all knew the lyrics and were able to keep the tune.
watching Filipino crowds singing with the artists always, like I mean always bring tears to my eyes!♥
They are there to perform the concert but in turn the crowd do the concert for them... Amazing Filipino crowd
Filipino audience to the artist thank you for coming to our concerts.
Thank you for appreciating us as well, MrSammyCam! ❤ The concerts do become big sing-alongs and we love pleasing the artists we watch.
Did you know that the Philippines is a singing country almost 80 percent can sing and like to sing. Whatever we do we sing .
